Have to say, I'm not that keen on any board games. Or card games. Can just about stomach Monopoly (as long as people aren't too cut-throat about it), and quite enjoy Scrabble, but I did hold the record for the lowest ever score in our family.

TigerFeet · 15/08/2007 13:46

WBB you are just too damn good at scrabble, I am on the verge of throwing my teddy out of the pram at you

You know words I have never heard of

Kewcumber · 15/08/2007 14:02

she makes them up tigerfeet.

She and MrsJC have just stuffed me right royally with a ridiculous scaore for a single word.

I definately don't need facebook!

I have enough problems doing any actual work as it is, without another distraction!!!!!

TigerFeet · 15/08/2007 15:03

You are in no position to comment KC, you are trouncing me too

I wish I was good at engineering a board so I could get an X or X on the triple word score

Kewcumber · 15/08/2007 19:46

Tiger - you're not even atthe foothills compared to the trouncing that MrcJC and WWB are giving me in this particular game

WigWamBam · 15/08/2007 22:11

I've only just started

You're not that bad; there was only one point between us on the first game we played though ...

Hi Guys,

Crap weigh in this am

I've put 2.5lbs on and I'm now feeling depressed! I'm tempted to blame it on AF but I suspect that the fact that I've been a pig is probably nearer the truth

But lets try and be positive! This time last year (which was just before I started posting) I was yo-yoing between 13 and 13.5 stone and now I'm yo-yoing between 12.5 and 13 stone so thats some improvement! Just gotta concentrate on NOT going above 13 again whilst trying to reduce it a little more!

If I can keep this up it'll only take me another 3 years to get to the 11 stone I'd be happy with!!!

littlemisssensible · 16/08/2007 09:38

Oh, forgot to ask, what time are we expect at your pad tomorrow, JackieNo?

JackieNo · 16/08/2007 11:03

Hi littlemisssensible- any time after 10.30.

Just starting to make a bit of a shopping list, and will be off to buy some goodies to eat in a bit. I'll weigh later, but am expecting the worst. I did lumber today, though, for the first time since last Sunday (as Tuesday was monsoon conditions, and I'd been up with DS most of the night, and 'slept' on the floor of his room).

MrsJohnCusack · 16/08/2007 11:21

Scrabble really needs to get working again, I am suffering miserably without it

WWB uses LOVELY words I must say

It's blardy thursday again alread isn't it, well I am the same - will weigh again tomorrow just in case of a miracle and email then (no chance though. Have been to a 3rd birthday party and snacked royally on crisps/chips/sweets etc. and had a chinese last night. Although I don't suppose vegetables in a quite healthy sweet and sour sacue with a bit of veggie rice can be that bad actually).

And have a lovely time tomorrow (said through gritted teeth)

littlemisssensible · 16/08/2007 11:25

I wish you could come to Mrs JC

Thanx JackieNo! I should be there about 11.00ish, assumeing the M27/M3/A34 don't clog with traffic!

TigerFeet · 16/08/2007 14:17

Mrs JC, such a shame, I neeeeeed to cuddle your gorgeous dc's, a cuddle from 12000 miles away will have to do

WWB does use lovely words, wish I know as many!

Should be there between 10.30 and 11, I will have some goodies from work, so far I have M&S potato salad, a multipack with olives, houmous and felafel and assorted stuff, a couple of other dips and a multipack of dips. Am going to try and get some flavoured houmous this afternoon.

Littlefish · 16/08/2007 18:22

I have breadsticks, vegetable crisps and some crackers.

Can't wait to see you tomorrow

WigWamBam · 16/08/2007 18:26

I have a couple of dips, some pots of salad, and as Little Miss Picky (dd!) was worried there wouldn't be anything for her to eat I also have sausage rolls (not Greggs, sadly), cocktail sausages and mini Scotch eggs.

And chocolate (but that's for the children!).

What was the final count - 5 adults, 5 kids?

OP posts:
JackieNo · 16/08/2007 18:41

6 adults and 6 kids, WWB.

I too have pre-cooked sausages, breadsticks. Also assorted crisps, nice ham, cheese, mini-pizzas, biscuits (for mid morning and afternoon snacks), 2 frozen desserts, yoghurts (for the kids, if necessary), veg for dipping, grapes, umm, and will be buying bread fresh tomorrow. So I suspect we should have enough food.

WigWamBam · 16/08/2007 19:52

6? I must have blinked and missed a name going on!

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 16/08/2007 20:13

Jackie is counting me and DS as two as we ech a lot

Will makes some couscous tonight - sausage rolls yum

JackieNo · 16/08/2007 20:43

I think it's 6:

JackieNo (DD and DS)
Kewcumber (DS)
WWB (DD)
TigerFeet (DD)
Littlefish (DD)
Littlemisssensible.

That's 6 of each, isn't it?

WigWamBam · 16/08/2007 21:21

It was just me being stupid and missing a name off.

If eating a lot qualifies us for counting as two then we ought to just cater for a round dozen of each - in fact, better round up to 15 of each, just to be on the safe side

OP posts:
JackieNo · 16/08/2007 21:32

I think we'll be OK - as somebody (not me) once said, I'm like John Lewis - never knowingly under-catered.

TigerFeet · 16/08/2007 21:36

BigMoFo's in eating a lot for lunch shocker

WigWamBam · 16/08/2007 21:36

Sounds good to me

I can just imagine all those lurkers shaking their heads and tutting at what pigs they think we're going to be ...

OP posts:
JackieNo · 16/08/2007 21:39

Ah, who cares about them. Actually, I just realised I forgot to email - will do it now. Looked at what I was last week, and I've lost a pound.
