I'll probably do the weights after we've met up rather than before ... have been out for most of the day (dh's birthday) and will probably be out too early in the morning to do them then (I know, I know ... I could stop Scrabbling and do them now ...)

Oh yes, - the 50th, wasn't it? Was the day today, then? Happy Birthday, Mr WWB.

JackieNo · 16/08/2007 21:57

Are we going to get to meet him tomorrow, or will he just drop you off and run in fear and trembling from the prospect of so many MNers together (I suspect my DH would)?

WigWamBam · 16/08/2007 22:00

It was today - I can't quite believe I'm married to a 50 year old

I might convince him to come in and say hello ... but I suspect he would prefer to dump and run

TigerFeet · 16/08/2007 22:08

we'll be gentle with him WWB

oooh lovely scrabble is up and runnign again

WigWamBam · 16/08/2007 22:15

Morning ladies! We're hoping to set off just after 9.00am so we should be with you just after 10.30am.

JackieNo · 17/08/2007 07:41

Morning. I'm just about to head off and get some fresh bread, then we're almost all set. See you all later .

agalch · 17/08/2007 07:49

agalch, sorry you can't make it, would have loved to have seen your wedding pics

JackieNo · 17/08/2007 09:30

Shame we can't all be here: we'll miss you agalch, and the others, MrsJC and ForcesSweetheart.

Littlefish · 17/08/2007 16:21

Just got home.

Jackie, thank you so much for your hospitality. Your ds and dd were complete stars. Your ds in particular because he shared so beautifully with dd.

It was lovely to see you all there.

Tigerfeet, I hope your journey home is better than your journey there.

WWB - at last we meet! Dd and I will make the journey up the motorway to see you one of these days, I promise. I hope your DH survived the bike ride.

Littlemissensible - you really are much too young and lovely to be a grandmother!

SJ - Lovely, as always to see you. I'll try and find out some news on MP for you. Daniel is absolutely divine and being a mother suits you so well.

JackieNo · 17/08/2007 17:52

Hi Littlefish, glad you got home safely - we discovered your DD's peg and necklace - hope she doesn't miss them too much. If you email me your address, I'll stick them in the post to you.

It was absolutely lovely to see everyone. Thank you all for coming - we had a lovely time.

Littlefish · 17/08/2007 18:02

Didn't realise we'd left the necklace too. She remembered about the peg! when we were about half way home and cried for about 20 minutes!!!! I'll e-mail you my address if that's ok.

JackieNo · 17/08/2007 18:08

Oh dear, poor thing.

Kewcumber · 17/08/2007 19:32

lovely to see everyone. Sorry about Jaws Jones - I'll be glad when this phase is over. So kind of you to host Jackie your house must have been a bomb site afterwards!

And it was indeed very nice ham.

WigWamBam · 17/08/2007 19:38

Poor thing; I hope she's less upset now.

Thank you so much for having us. It was really, really nice to meet everyone - and to put faces to the names. We had a lovely time - as proved by dd hiding under the bed when it was time to go! She got on so well with your dd, Jackie - she's already asking when they can meet up again.

Dh survived his bike ride, but strangely enough didn't much fancy going for a walk with us after he got back!

Kew - it was lovely to meet your DS: he really is as gorgeous as his photos. My DS went through the same phase - I seem to remember it passed pretty quickly. Although the house looked a bit of a bomb site, it didn't take very long to tidy up at all.

WWB - DD is also keen to meet up again. Lovely that they got on so well. (and that we all did too).

WigWamBam · 17/08/2007 21:12

Yea, nice that everyone got on (although I suspected we would!) I will email the photos of our dds when I get them onto the PC.

Seems like dd has yet another urine infection; she didn't tell me she'd been going to the loo every few minutes and it was stinging until we were part way home. Several trips to service stations and one wet kitchen floor later, I suspect we'll be at the emergency GPs in the morning (why is it always at the weekend??)

OP posts:
JackieNo · 17/08/2007 22:35

Oh no - poor her, and poor you too. As you say, always at the weekend, too. Hope she feels better soon.

WigWamBam · 17/08/2007 22:42

And me!

Another Saturday morning spent waiting around at the emergency GP clinic ...

She went to sleep OK, we'll just have to see how it is in the morning. But the constant weeing and soreness doesn't bode well again. I could weep with frustration for her.

JackieNo · 17/08/2007 22:44

Will it mean more ABs, do you think?

littlemisssensible · 17/08/2007 23:05

Hi All,

Thankyou for a lovely day JackieNo!

It was lovely to meet you all,and all of the LOs were lovely! I'm sure we have the most gorgeous and well behaved children on mumsnet!

Only took 1.5hours to get home (I knew the way, going back!), I hope everyone else got home safely.

DH has enjoyed the snacks I bought back with me (sorry I forgot the bread Jackie )and wants to know what the yoghurty dip with basil and something else was as he's loving it!

I'll post the courgette and muffin recipe tomorrow when I'm a little more awake!

JackieNo · 17/08/2007 23:08

Hi Littlemisssensible. Glad you got back safely - it was lovely to meet you too. Don't worry about the bread - WWB took it.

I think the dip might have been the Waitrose pecorino, basil and something else one. TigerFeet will know - I suspect she brought it. Hope she's home by now, and not still en route.
