Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

Sorry for the slight derail but, if you're wearing Levis (particularly 501s), do you buy women's or men's?

Back in the day, it was the done thing to wear men's.

Seer · 11/09/2019 13:24

God, you're right @ageingdisgracefully ! I have no clue what's the done thing now!

We deffo are going to need a jeans thread going soon 😀

ageingdisgracefully · 11/09/2019 16:20

I've just bought myself a pair of men's vintage Levi 501s on ebay. Blush

Seer · 11/09/2019 18:48

Exciting @ageingdisgracefully ! How did you work out your size?

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 11/09/2019 19:40

I don't think they even had womens levis back in my day.

I think I'd have to try on a pair in my local Levis shop esp as they have no give whatsoever and my body is a far more womanly shape than the last time I wore them.

Seer · 11/09/2019 20:40

My perspective on food must have really changed... just totted up calories for the day as a) I changed dinner b) I've 'pigged out' today for some strange reason (I had breakfast, cake, seconds of dinner and 2 spritzers)...

And I've still only totalled 1514. Weird! I guess having a small lunch (160 cals helped) 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 11/09/2019 20:49

I'm not even sure where my closest Levi shop is! I do remember my first came from the county town in Essex. I'll have to google, I assume they can be bought in department stores too. @TantricTwist I'll look into your Jeans suggestion, but got 13 lb to go!

Finished on 967 cals.

MrsGrindah · 11/09/2019 21:25

I haven’t had chance to hula today so double tomorrow. Love the fact that we are all researching Levi’s now! There’s a Levi’s shop ten minutes from me. I wish I had the guts to go in now just to see their faces! But the fact that they have absolutely no give is exactly what I want . I hate my M and S stretchy jeans as they sag so quickly. And yes it makes you feel good getting into a twelve but we all know I’m not a twelve..plus they remind me of maternity jeans. No I want some proper sized , stiff denim jeans that fit just right. There’s a song about that if any of you are interested....

Seer · 11/09/2019 22:03

I'm so in the same mind @MrsGrindah

I'm wearing size 12 m & s jeggings which are soooo stretchy and comfortable but don't look too brilliant.

They also make my tummy look much bigger than it actually is. I think it's where the thick elasticated waistline (nice!) pushes all my flesh into one area. It looks much flatter in actual jeans with a zip and button.

It's challenging tho because I really dislike uncomfortable, tight, restrictive fabric so I'm not sure I'll be happy actually wearing Levi's etc even tho they'll look so much better.

I was the same even when I was super slim in my teens, I used to take my jeans (and bra) off the moment I got home!

Seer · 11/09/2019 22:10

We're in the same mind and the same stretchy old jeans Grin

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 11/09/2019 22:19

Yes @MrsGrindah, the dreaded stretchy one size fits all 😬😳😂

DottieLottie1 · 11/09/2019 22:22

The nearest Levi shop to me is Westfields, Stratford. That's not too bad means I've got to go by tube though. I might, I just might.... but what style???? Cant wait, 13 lbs need gone, now😂

DottieLottie1 · 12/09/2019 07:26

Morning everyone 🙂

Another restless night, I'm definitely anxious over my family members health and current state of mind. 😔

Working this morning but taking annual leave this evening as we've got a birthday to celebrate. Out for dinner so will have a tipple or 2, I will compensate for this through the day.

B- starting with a cuppa or 3
L- fast
D- pub grub but will be sensible

Will try and get an extra dog walk in too.

Have a good day all!

DottieLottie1 · 12/09/2019 07:28

Hmmm, new phone. I'm writing in paragraphs (honest) but they disappear once I post. Weird!

MrsGrindah · 12/09/2019 07:35

Morning Dottie Sorry to hear about your relative. Hope things work out well for them.

I need to be good today as ended up having 3 glasses of wine last night although I did eat very little . Upshot is I can’t face breakfast!

Double hula hooping today and fishfingers and salad for tea!

If all reach our Holy Grails I think we should post a photo of us in our jeans - faces obscured of course ( although I can’t promise not to photo shop a picture of Taylor Swift instead)

Seer · 12/09/2019 08:48

Sending you and your relative lots of love @DottieLottie1 ♥️

Hope you have a good evening out and manage to take your mind off it all for a while.

Sounds like you and I both had the off-piste vibes going on yesterday @MrsGrindah. Ah well, #todayisanewday ☺️

I'm starting to get a bit frustrated by my plateau even though it's only been a week, my averaged daily weights are lower than last week's, and I know it usually goes like this. 🤦🏻‍♀️

In other news, I found a lovely pair of grey jeans (not jeggings but some stretch) from River Island that have been folded in my drawer forgotten and unworn for the last year or so. I think I must have stopped wearing them because they were uncomfortable (not realising I'd actually put on weight Hmm). They now fit perfectly, feel nice and looks pretty great!

Working today and nothing else planned other than some more running around for my DS school trip...

B: fast
L: veg, Asian dumplings and miso soup (a 130 cal dream!)
D: the lentil and veg curry, rice and chapati I planned to have yesterday

Walk, kettlebells, SVs

Should be a 1k cal day if I don't go all weird and randomly end up eating breakfast and cake like yesterday!

Have a good slimming day, all ☺️

@DottieLottie1 sorry to hear about your relative. I hope it's something that can be sorted out eventually. Get their medication reviewed if they're taking any as that can cause all sorts of strange MH issues on top of being medically unwell.

@MrsGrindah Grin at saggy M&S jeans as my DD was taking the piss out of mine yesterday.

@Seer You've just reminded me I have some grey jeans, some rust coloured and brown ones folded away somewhere I haven't worn since they got too small for me. A ward clerk yesterday wore some grey jeans with a lovely white shirt and I thought what a gorgeous classic simple look that was whilst I stood there in my oversized scrubs, no make up and hair tied up looking all hot and dishevelled Grin

Last night I ate an aubergine, mozzarella and red pesto bake that I rustled up as a speedy version of my far more delicious aubergine parmigiana.

Today I've had parma ham rolled up with philadelphia cheese in the middle, quite delicious.

@ageingdisgracefully you've started something here with your talk of Levis Grin I have to say I have Top Shop Jamie Jeans which I find very flattering and wear when I go out out. M&S are my daily comfort jeans ie on the way to work and back.

DottieLottie1 · 12/09/2019 10:13

Thanks for your kind wishes all. Relative living with a palliative condition.

DottieLottie1 · 12/09/2019 23:02

I'm surprisingly full. I've only had a (large) flatbread pepperoni pizza. And a fair but if fizz looking at the restaurants nutritional info I've only had 1470 cals for the day.

Happy birthday family member!

Working tomorrow and weigh in 😬

DottieLottie1 · 13/09/2019 08:58

Morning all 🙂

In the last week I've eaten out for dinner 4 times and once for brunch. However I walked miles and miles (circa 30 miles) last weekend. I felt that maybe, just maybe I had lost a little. To my surprise I've dropped another 3lbs! I'm now 10 st 10 lb, 10 lbs to go. My BMI is now 22.2, so I'm almost in the middle if the healthy range. I'm starting to feel I'm on the last push now, 10 lbs to go. It might get tough now. I've been on this diet 4 months today and dropped 35 lbs.

I'm off to work shortly, just finishing a cuppa. Working through lunch. I'll need to stop at the supermarket on the way home for a few bits. Making a slow cooked Morrocan sticky chicken for dinner, it contains honey and almonds so not low calorie. Portion size is my friend here but will be hard to resist seconds! I won't as I'm so close to getting my new jeans!

What are your plans everyone? Have a lovely day, the weathers great in these neck of the woods 😊

DottieLottie1 · 13/09/2019 09:00

Whoops, my maths has gone up the creek! 36 lb loss over 4 months.

Seer · 13/09/2019 10:33

That's amazing @DottieLottie1 ! Well done! 🙌

Sadly, I've got the opposite tale here. I really need cheering on...

My scales still aren't moving downwards (well, 2 ounces down today Hmm so technically I'm the lighest I've been so far - whoopee).

Usually I fluctuate up and down several pounds whereas I've pretty much stuck to my lowest weight for the past week which is easier in some ways... but it's starting to wear thin.

I've looked at my average cals for the past week and it's 1214/day (which is lower than usual) surely I should be losing weight on that? Even without the exercise I do!

I also feel like today was my last weigh in to see a weight loss this week as I tend to be heavier at the weekends due to the extra consumption and salt from the Friday night takeaway.

Help please... keep me on this horse! 🙏

In other news, working today, takeaway tonight.

B: fasting
L: dumplings, veg, miso
D: Chinese takeaway and wine

Normally would be around 1500 on a Friday but aiming for 1200 as I want to lose some blooming weight!

Walk, kettlebells and SV later.

What's everyone's body goals now?

Mine originally was to reduce my tummy (in May it was huge for the first time ever aside from pregnancy 🙈) but I'm fairly happy with it now even tho I could stand to lose another inch or so to get it flatter. Now I'm more focused on getting a better shape so I'm primarily wanting to see a reduction on my waist.

I'd also like a bigger firmer bum - which I think the kettlebells are helping with!

I feel better just for having shared all this anyway - thank you for being here! ☺️♥️

Well done Dottie and Seer!

I’m just a teensy bit jealous! Although I’m chuffed at my own achievement..two weeks of completely following diet and exercise plan. Only time I’ve slipped is regarding wine, but then I’ve adjusted my calories the next day. I do feel better.

My big weigh in is Thursday. I have a figure in my head and if I’m less than that I will take it. If not...I’ll need your help!

This weekend should be ok. No social events to throw me off plan!

DottieLottie1 · 13/09/2019 15:30

@MrsGrindah the wine isn't really a problem as long as you factor it in (preferably for the day your dro king!). Honestly meal planning g is the way forward. I'm 4 month in, you've only just started. Were not going anywhere as once (🤞) we've hit target the next challenge is to maintain it! You can do it 😊

@Seer you would be telling me a loss is a loss however minute! I plateaued for 3 weeks and it was frustrating/upsetting when followed the diet religiously. You will lose but the last few pounds I think might be the toughest. My target other than hitting 10st flat is to get my tummy flat, I've still got a little paunch. My collar bone is more predominant which I like and my face more angular.

Have a good day all Smile

Seer · 13/09/2019 16:49

Thank you so much @DottieLottie1, I really needed to hear that! ☺️

I don't find the diet too challenging when I'm losing 1lb+/week but it suddenly seems the hardest thing on Earth when I'm not!

I'm sitting in the sunshine with a good book and a spritzer now. Dh has been away on biz and not back until 8ish so I've got a few hours to fill with whatever I like ☺️

Love the sun being back! ☀️
