Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

So I measured my waist this morning 30 1/2 inches. Not disastrous but it used to be 28 1/2! I’ve decided I’m going to weigh in in a fortnights time and just keep my head down. I’ve been averaging 1200 a day which I’ve researched is probably the max I can lose on. Plus no booze which has got to be good. Tried the trousers no again...can’t believe they used to be too big on me! Nil desperandum.
You lot are v inspiring!

DocusDiplo · 06/09/2019 08:39

Thanks @DottieLottie1
I've just been eating very little (fasting) and trying to choose healthy meals.
I'm not great at meal planning. Eating disorder hangups never go away I think. I am cross at myself for succumbing to poor choices.
And breathe.

DottieLottie1 · 06/09/2019 09:32

@DocusDiplo, is it just a slip up or has it totally gone to pot?

You can out it right 🙂

Seer · 06/09/2019 14:05

Whoop whoop @DottieLottie1 I'm so happy for you! We should probably grow to love our plateaus given they so often result in a whoosh!

You're doing amazingly well! 🌟

@MrsGrindah that's a great starting point! My waist was 35" at the beginning of May, which is by far the biggest it's ever been bar pregnancy! It's now 30.2 (was stuck at 30.5 for a while hence that fraction of an inch is important to note 😀) Here's to all of regaining our slim waists over the next few months!

@DocusDiplo don't beat yourself up, we all have slips along the way. Even if you've eaten a whole 3500 calories extra, the most you'll likely gain is a pound, and what's that matter in the great scheme of things? You can and will get back on the horse, darling, we're all here to cheer you on!

I've noticed I've got a renewed burst of motivation today. Hitting that first big goal has given me such confidence that I now feel capable of anything I set my mind to 😀

I can't wait to see my weight go into the 150s next. You've been in that range for a while, right Dottie?

Oh and today was the first day writing my new weight goal in the shower screen mist. It was a big 161lb with a heart around it and now it's 151lb 😀

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 06/09/2019 15:14

Just checked and I actually plateaued for 3 weeks. Then 1lb dropped off last week and 3lb this week. Strange, but I'm not complaining .

Seer · 07/09/2019 08:37

Morning all! ☺️

Not sure what we're up to today - ds has a sleepover and hoping to find somewhere for dd so we get some precious child-free time!

Plans...

B: avo and tomato on toast
L: nothing
D: depends on whether DD is here! Probably something we can eat whilst watching a film like v chicken burgers in wraps. V magnum and a couple of spritzers (Sat night treat!)

Aiming for 1200 cals.

Movement: dog walk, kettlebells and some core exercise on a Swiss ball

I went over yesterday (1300 cals) due to a glass of champagne and a slice of cake I'd made (need to feed the rest to the DCs today 😀) but still not bad for a fri with takeaway!

How are you all?

OP posts:
Seer · 07/09/2019 08:46

Something struck me earlier... I was trying to arrange a photo shoot earlier this year (work-related) and it kept falling through. Just realised how lucky that was given I've subsequently lost 20lb! I would have wished I'd waited!

I think I'll wait another month and then see if I can arrange it... hopefully that'll be when I'm looking all slim and fabulous! 💃

DottieLottie1 · 07/09/2019 08:57

Morning all 😊

I had a pizza last night add that with a few glasses of wine it and was around 1300 mark.

Heading out for a walk soon, will probably achieve several Miles by the end of the day. Swimming after lunch in hotel pool. Going to a bowling alley this evening followed by Dinner at an American themed gourmet burger type place. Must not undo my hard work!

B- Couple of cups of tea
L- fast
D- Nachos and possibly a burger or if I'm strict a funky salad

Probably some cocktails....

Enjoy your day 😊

MrsGrindah · 07/09/2019 18:44

So I tried a size 12 skirt on today just to gauge the damage. It wasn’t too bad. I definitely couldn’t wear it but it’s no worse than I’ve seen other people wearing if you see what I mean. 14 would have definitely been too big.

Now, I know it could be vanity sizing but I went into another shop and a 12 coat fitted perfectly so I need to remember I’m clearly not the size of an elephant. I’m weighing on the 19th ( it’s a significant date for me) and I promise to tell you warts and all!

DottieLottie1 · 07/09/2019 21:46

It's not to much of a mountain to climb then @MrsGrindah, even if it were you can do it! Baby steps and it will take you in the right direction 😘

DottieLottie1 · 07/09/2019 22:19

I opted for a cheeseburger plus bacon with fries, slaw and jalapenos. I've had a fair bit of wine and a pina colas. Aside had no brekky or lunch my calories will still be low (ish) ud say no more than 1600.... 😬 Back on it tomorrow as although I'm eating out for dinner I'll probably go for a chicken ceaser salad. I'll keep my breakfast and lunch for calories low.

Achieved 7 miles of walking is far today.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend all 😊

Seer · 08/09/2019 08:10

That sounds like a great amount of walking @DottieLottie1 So nice when it's possible to balance out the extra consumption with activity (I'm sure all the walking helped me not put too much weight on on my hols too)

You're deffo no elephant, @MrsGrindah ! But ultimately it's how you feel in your skin that's important. You'll soon be feeling good about yourself again.

I've just measured and my waist is now 30"! So thrilled by that! It's not reflected in my weight yet, no doubt partly because I ate lots of salted popcorn last night (not in my plans 🤦🏻‍♀️) so have probably retained water, but it's the waist measurement I care most about anyway.

That's 5" down from May!

Can't wait to see measurements in the 20s again. That feels like 'slim' to me ☺️

I wish I knew my measurements from when I could fit easily in my Goal Jeans. I suspect I had a 28-29" waist.

No idea of plans today yet, will post later when I know.

Have a lovely day all of you! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 08/09/2019 09:51

That must be a lovely feeling @Seer, well done you! I have measured my waist on occasion on this diet but not religiously. I sometimes wonder if I'm pulling the tape measure too tight to achieve what I want to see!!!
That's why the slightly tight shirt test is better I think 😳

Just had my morning coffee and then off out to an outdoor activity centre. DC are booked in for a go ape type activity and Segway experience. DH and I will walk the dog and possibly have a coffee stop to kill time. Dinner booked in a little independent French cafe. I'm going for lowish calories tonight so probably a salad but might bulk it out with some fries. Minimal alcohol as driving early in the morning as got to travel back in time for school. 5:30 am start...

Hope you all have an enjoyable day 😊

TantricTwist · 08/09/2019 11:10

Your break sounds so much fun *@DottieLottie1

Arrrrgh I keep writing things, pressing return and they promptly disappear Confused. @Seer glad the final inches are coming off and I'm doing fine and am definitely losing the inches but tired and busy at the moment.

TantricTwist · 08/09/2019 11:10

Hello to everyone else

Seer · 08/09/2019 11:15

What is the slightly tight shirt test @DottieLottie1 ? 😀

Tbh, I do hold the tape measure 'snug' but not digging in. Although it might be a little on the tight side, I go on the idea that if it's always the same degree of snugness, then I'm measuring my progress accurately even if maybe the resulting number is a little on the optimistic side 😀

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 08/09/2019 11:38

I'm not starting the gym till the end of Sept, it's mainly for the lovely pool they have tbh and to join their badminton group (as I love badminton and used to play it a lot a long time ago)
I'm changing job roles so I'll just be working days, no nights, hurrah, so can jump in the pool after a day at work which will give me so much joy :)

Today I'll be making a full on Sunday Roast chicken which I'm looking forward to making with yorkshire puds, stuffing, roast potatoes and veggies.

Seer · 08/09/2019 12:05

That all sounds wonderful @TantricTwist , I'm really pleased for you! 😍

I've noticed my torso suddenly seems much slimmer side on, even tho I didn't know I had much fat to lose there - it wasn't like it was wobbly there. Maybe I've lost some visceral fat or something? Weird but good! 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 08/09/2019 12:17

@Seer sounds like it's melting off you at the moment, yay. I guess due to hip size clothes may stay a certain size but losing weight around them will allow the clothes to hang differently. My tummy was lovely and flat yesterday in my jeans and my shirt hung so beautifully so I felt really good when I was out and about earlier yesterday. I was meant to go out and let my hair down with friends last night but DS sliced his thumb on some glass and it bled for forever it seemed, so dealt with that and stayed at home as it had freaked him out a bit. Obvs for me it's just a cut thumb I need to clean and dress properly and no damaged vital organs etc but for him it was vomit inducing seemingly never ending bloody horror show.

DottieLottie1 · 08/09/2019 12:47

No more night shifts sounds wonderful @TantricTwist , assume you wont be as tired.

@Seer that was a typo- tight short test not shirf! Although it was a tight shirt (you know , where the button holes stretch) that started all this 😳

TantricTwist · 08/09/2019 13:17

Definitely @DottieLottie1 no more nights or super early starts. Oh god stretchy button holes, so pleased my shirts fit again and I don't have that going on, also part of the reason I started this journey tbh. Although I was bit meh that dress I bought the other week didnt fit due to big boobage going on Hmm glad it's a bit colder now though so I can wear jeans and shirts again.

Seer · 08/09/2019 13:43

Nothing wrong with big boobage @TantricTwist ! It's so amazing feeling the difference in clothes isn't it? Makes it all worthwhile.

I've just tried on the Goal Jeans again (obsessed much?) and I got them all the way done up (they have 3 buttons and a zip) - which has shocked me. They're certainly not comfortable enough to actually wear but I can see that it's totally within my reach if I keep on keeping on.

I've just started doing stomach vacuum exercises (I think what Tim F calls cat sick exercises 😀) today which are meant to work your TA muscles and potentially reduce your waist. I hope so because I don't really want to lose more weight off my hips and boobs if I can help it. I like having curves.

MrsGrindah · 08/09/2019 14:00

Just dropping in to say this thread is helping me sooo much. Had two glasses of wine last night so just had a salad and a lighter , all protein breakfast this morning. I’m definitely a size 13 at the moment! My aim is to be a comfortable twelve in 7 weeks ( I’ve got a big birthday coming up)
My goal jeans are some gorgeous dark denim flares that look fab with heels. Might not make it to them in 7 weeks ( they are a generous 10) but I won’t be far off hopefully.
Hope you all have the lovely weather we have here. Off to hula hoop now!

Seer · 08/09/2019 15:33

Plans:

B: v sausage and tomato sandwich
L: fast
D: veg & rice stir fry with spring rolls (eating out)

Might have a spritzer later.

Should be around 1100 cals which I'm happy with for a Sunday.

Done kettlebells and stomach vacuums and will go for a walk later

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 08/09/2019 21:26

Had to google your vacuum exercises @Seer.

Achieved 9.3 miles of walking today. My dinner plans changed, still went to the French Cafe but opted for steak instead, though was only 610 calories.

Ending on 1400 for the day. Back to
