Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

@MrsGrindah if it's any consolation it took over 2 stone for anyone to notice my loss! I'm 5ft 9, my start weight was 13st 4, I was probably a solid size 16.... I was 11 stone and a comfy size 10 before I got a comment. Then when I hit 10st everyone (except DH 🙄) suddenly started worrying that I'm wasting g away!

Seer · 01/01/2020 19:43

Thank you @DottieLottie1 I'm certain you'll be back to your usual svelte self very soon too (and it's not like you're not already super slim right now!)

Enjoy your last day of feasting @TantricTwist !

Welcome back @MrsGrindah we'll all be back on the weight loss horse together as of tomorrow so you're in good company. It won't be long until people notice your transformation!

I've decided I'm going to try to lose an extra pound or two below my new normal weight (so aiming for the top end of the 10 stone bracket which I think is the lightest I've been in many years) and tone up more so I'm in the best shape I can be for the photo shoot in mid-Jan. I'm not going to be too fixed on it but that's the aim.

Kettlebells, planks and 1000 cal week days here I come!

Also, I saw an old photo of myself earlier which I think was at my slimmest as an adult - I think I look too thin in it. I'm not sure how much I weighed then but I know at one point I was down to 9 stone 1! It wasn't even intentional I was just overly focused on clean eating at the time. I'm definitely happier now, 2 whole stone heavier!

Also @MrsGrindah, like @DottieLottie1 ... I've gone from a size 16 (but in total denial. I never bought anything in that size but my measurements then mean I was deffo that size - at least!) to a size 10, losing 25lb in 6 months... and to this day only one friend has mentioned it, my dh has finally said something only this week!

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 01/01/2020 21:45

I guess that means that everyone in your lives thinks you are both gorgeous no matter what size you are 🥰

Seer · 02/01/2020 09:35

Ah you're lovely @TantricTwist I'd like to think it's that (and not that people are scared to say anything to me! 😀)

So... I'm properly back on it today. I want to see if I can get my waist down to 29" without being silly about it. Kettlebells every other day and eating an average of 1200 cals/day.

Dh and DD are at the football and DS is out with relatives so I have a rare day to myself! Aside from a work call with a potential client at 4pm which I decided I'd squeeze in even tho I'm not formally back to work until next wed. Dec is often quiet in my line of work so it's good to see the new enquiries come in again.

B: fast
L: I might treat myself to lunch in town, probably pasta
D: will keep it light if I do have lunch out, eg miso and dumplings.

Will aim for 1k cals. I'm going to return to using MFP for the next two weeks to keep me more focused and accurate.

Have a lovely body-beautifying day all! ☺️

Morning all!

DH back at work today so I feel a bit more in routine. I'm just having a cuppa before heading to a large well known shopping centre with DD to spend her Christmas money and wait for it..... to purchase my Levi's! It will involve a fair bit of walking too. DD will want lunch so I'll probably have a dairy alternative hot choc. Nothing else planned for the day.

It was good to get back to seeing a pile of salad accompanying my food last night. It felt normal 🤷🏼‍♀️

B- Cuppa (know that doesn't really count)
L- Almond/Coconut milk based hot chocolate
D- Jacket potato with pineapple cottage cheese and salad

That's sub 1000.

Weighing in tomorrow and I'm a bit worried!

Hope your new lead goes well @Seer.

Enjoy your Thursday all 😊

Seer · 02/01/2020 10:44

I'm unreasonably excited about your Levi's @DottieLottie1! Let us know what you get ☺️

DottieLottie1 · 02/01/2020 12:40

Will do! I'll post a photo if the app will allow me to, but haven't had luck since I changed from iPhone to android!

MrsGrindah · 02/01/2020 14:25

Oh DottieI so pleased for you...Levi’s! My goal is to get a pair for my hols in March. Please post a photo!

Did well yesterday and a good start today. I find a decent sized breakfast really helps me....egg and beans! Going to do my hula hooping every day this month..really helps with my waist. Its my midriff that’s the problem.. I always seem to put all my weight on there and my thighs!

It’s disappointed when people don’t notice weight loss but I do think it means that people don’t notice our flaws as much as we do ...which is a good thing!

DottieLottie1 · 02/01/2020 18:06

Just tried posting a photo, it said success but alas no post and no photo! Not sure why not but I haven't been able to post photos since my old phone died and I changed operating systems.

So o got Levi 720s in classic blue. They are levis latest design, just out and are super skinny. So, a far cry from the 501s I had at 18! Size 25 W 28L, though I'm a 30 leg I dont personally like the current turn up trend! For lovely 😍

MrsGrindah · 02/01/2020 18:35

How fab! I’ve just googled them and they look lovely. I don’t think I’ll be able to go for such a skinny style ( my legs will always be sausages) . Think I’m going to aim for the straight style ones. Do you feel fantastic?

DottieLottie1 · 02/01/2020 19:01

Actually @MrsGindah I do! I've been feeling a bit guilty for over indulging over the Christmas period and I've definitely gained a bit. But ..... if I managed to get into a 25 things cant be too bad! It was almost a wake up call for being ridiculous 🙄

Seer · 02/01/2020 19:22

@DottieLottie1 that's a size SIX! With your height you must look like a model! Congrats on finally reaching the Levi's goal - you're an inspiration!

@MrsGrindah sounds like you're making a great start to the year.

I've been on track today too. I ate lunch at a cafe so hard to know cals but have had a low cal dinner of miso and dumplings (200 cals) so I don't think I've gone over 1k cals.

I'm feeling very ready to be back to it. All those Christmas choc truffles can wait!

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 02/01/2020 19:30

I googled the same @Seer as I was a bit (nicely) surprised ! However, the levi size guide says a 25 W is actually 26.25".... so a solid size 8.

Seer · 02/01/2020 19:33

That's bonkers! Why do they have a waist number that's smaller than it actually is?! 🤷🏻‍♀️

And still... an 8!!!

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 02/01/2020 20:38

No idea, I assume for vanity 😂

DottieLottie1 · 03/01/2020 08:12

Morning 🙂

Weighed in this morning and to my surprise I've lost the 2 lb I gained last week, so back down to my lowest weight. I still find weight loss so strange, as I really thought I would have gained a little more due to NYE excess..... I'm guessing it was water weight then 🤷🏼‍♀️

Looking after my DNs today, so arts and crafts day. Will get the dog out for a walk but wont be a long one. I'm back to work next week so I'm going to make the most of the next few days.

B- cuppa
L- coconut or almond milk based hot
D- Homemade pizza (base and all) and homemade garlic bread
S- fruit, Prosecco

That'll be about 1400 calories. Time to maintain so I'm going to up calories gradually here and there but keep my portions sizes sensible. I'm going to continue eating a lot of salad usually as the side if my main and make that a permanent change.

What are your plans for today e everyone?

Enjoy your Friday 😊

Seer · 03/01/2020 10:41

That's great news @DottieLottie1 well done!

As of this morning, I'm back into my happy zone again (a 2lb window that I fluctuate within) albeit the top end of it at the moment.

I will now keep secret dieting until I'm at the bottom end of it or below, I reach a 29" waist or I get to my photo shoot... whichever happens first!

And then I'll be joining you in maintaining again at whatever weight I am at that point.

Maintaining by eating intuitively was working well for me for the few weeks before Christmas so I'm feeling confident about it.

No idea what we're up to today as dh had a v late night at the football as is still in bed!

I'm off to walk the dogs and then will see if he's up and about.

What I do know is:

B: fast
L: light lunch eg veg soup
D: Indian takeaway and wine!

Will be 1200-1400 cals as it's a Friday.

Have a lovely Friday all! ☺️

MrsGrindah · 03/01/2020 19:23

Another good day today. Bit snacks but within my calorie limit. Starting to feel hungry again but in a good way...not full and annoyed with myself like I was over Christmas.

Tried on my summer clothes ( don’t ask why!) and they are all a nice easy fit ( 12s) so hopefully they will be loose for my March hols. Still can’t face the scales yet though!

For me this is the worst weekend of the year...trying to keep busy to take my mind of the fact that I can’t drink or eat too much! Hopefully buying some kettlebells this weekend to increase the exercise. Have a good weekend all.

DottieLottie1 · 03/01/2020 19:42

That's good @MrsGrindah, the way clothes fit is a good indicator! I had a pair of work shorts that were too small (as in bulging out too small 😱) as a measure alongside the scales. Said work shorts now fall off! You'll find the right time to weigh yourself! I'm a believer that you really do need to know your weight.... only because dress size and what you look like/ how healthy you are varies depending on height etc

As for kettlebells DH is looking in to buying some. I'm interested also (thanks @Seer 😜) but I'd suspect that DH would need a heavier weighted one than I would....

Just finished up the pizza for 😋 and on the vino..... but still within 1500 calories for the day. Also managed 10,000 steps somehow 😊

TantricTwist · 03/01/2020 22:03

Those jeans look great @DottieLottie1 that'll be me by the summer in a size 6 / 8, in my dreams Wink you never know though.

We've taken down the tree and most of the decorations and given everything a good hoover. I was then forced to watch 'Hellboy' on Netflix, the latest version, which was more enjoyable than I'd anticipated. Instead of Pizza I ate a lovely salad which is all I've eaten so far today which is fine made up of lettuce, chicken, baby plum tomatoes, roasted carrots, mozzarella, balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

TantricTwist · 03/01/2020 22:49

Actually just remembered I had cheerios for breakfast and a glass of OJ at some point.

Seer · 04/01/2020 11:28

Morning all!

We're in the middle of a plumbing nightmare (self-created thru trying to do something ourselves!) so that's rather taken up the day so far 🙈

No other plans until this evening when dh and I are hoping to go out.

Fingers crossed we'll have the water back on by then!

B: vBLT
L: fast
D: I think we might eat out and then go to the cinema

Will be a higher cal day but will aim for 1500 max.

Will get some kettlebells (let me know how you get on @DottieLottie1!) and walking in this afternoon.

In other news, I bought a lovely dress in the sale in Monsoon! It's a really lovely fit and has a fab leopard and star print. And it was a size Small!

Have a lovely Saturday all! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 04/01/2020 11:29

Morning!

Slightly sore head this morning, I ended up drinking the rest of the disarano..... 😬 not to worry, its all gone now and won't get another bottle until next christmas!

Plans today are to get out with the dog and then with DD to spend some more of her Christmas money but will shop locally this time. This evening we are going out for pub grub rather than getting our usual Saturday night takeaway. We are only doing this as we've got a 50% off voucher which makes it the same price as the takeaway and walkable 😜

I'll do a double fast due to the extra calories in last night's amaretto and not sure what I'll go for tonight. I need to be mindful that we are away next weekend and will be eating out for all meals except breakfast. Should be countered by the serious mileage I will also be putting in.

I'm going to wear the holy grail Levi's tonight...

@TantricTwist, I regularly have chicken salad and salad now as a side dish as opposed to chips. I eat mountains of the stuff 😂

What are your plans everyone?

TantricTwist · 04/01/2020 14:48

@Seer leopard and star print sounds gorgeous and in a small - that's a size 8 whoop whoop

@DottieLottie1 you get to wear your super skinny jeans - DH won't be able to keep his hands off your bum Wink

I think I might have IBS or something like that - and DS too - so I'm going to have to adjust our diet - cut things out and reintroduce items - bread being the main culprit I think although we rarely eat white bread - milk seems to affect DS but only occasionally so I'll get more oatly - it's hard to work out tbh
