Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

Your massage is making me feel jealous 😂Enjoy @Seer! I've not had a ready meal in years and years but they are not all bad.

Off to work shortly. Seeing poorly relative in my break and home mid evening. DC are tasked with a few odd jobs as DH is away for work also, including retrieving my parcel which contains my faux fur jacket 😍

B & L- fast due to the Prosecco of later
D- goats cheese, salami and basil omelette with copious amounts of salad, lighter than light mayo
S- Blueberries and Prosecco

That's just over 1000 calories

Enjoy your Wednesday everyone 😊

DottieLottie1 · 05/12/2019 09:42

Morning 🙂

Just back from the school run which I dont normally (DC cycle) but DS had far too much to carry with sports gear and food tech ingredients etc. I've also taken the dog round the block as DH is away for work but back this evening. Currently watching Judge Rinder 😳 with a Vanilla and almond milkshake and a cuppa.

Off to work shortly, double shift. Between shifts I aim to get to the bank, post some Christmas cards and pop into the bakers for crusty rolls. I will also swing by starbucks or costa for a hot choc. Home mid evening. I'm also going to have to make room for a slice of DS's almond and cherry cake....

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- coconut milk based hot chocolate
D- minestrone soup with a crusty roll
S- slice of cake no idea on calories but I'll make it a small piece

Anything interesting planned?

Enjoy your Thursday everyone 😊

Seer · 05/12/2019 20:46

Argh! Lost a long post! Nothing particularly exciting anyway... back tomorrow

Morning!

I'm glad it's Friday! Got a fairly easy day planned which feels perfect!

Work, school pick up, dog walk then take away and film. ☺️

My eating habits have definitely changed for the better now, I just don't seem to have the cravings I used to have. It wasn't like I was a terrible eater before, I've always preferred nutritious food in the main, it just feels more natural now to eat sensible portion sizes (my real weakness previously, I loved mountains of pasta or rice) and not to snack (I've never been that bad, but would over-eat things like crisps when I'd put snacks out for visitors).

Another example is when I take my DCs for cake, it doesn't even occur to me to have a slice (maybe a just bite of theirs!)

I noticed my fairly new size 12 jeggings are wearable but on the loose side now. I didn't expect that!

B: fast
L: miso, veg, dumplings
D: Indian takeaway and wine 🍷

Around 1500 cals I expect.

Oh and I forgot to weigh myself this morning 🙈

Have a lovely Friday! ☺️

DottieLottie1 · 06/12/2019 09:28

That's such a positive mindset @Seer !

I've managed to shed another 2lb this week ,though in reality it's probably nearer 1.5 lbs. Last week my scales flickered to 2lb below until settling on a weight but I chose to go for the higher reading as I did today. I'm now 9st 10 so that's a 3st 8lb loss in just under 7 months. I am where I wanted to be now but for some reason I dont feel ready to maintain! I think this maybe that my weight through my 20s and most of my 30s was closer to 9st. I thought I'd be happy at 10st but I dont look like I do at 9st which is the body I have in my head! Now, I dont want to get obsessive and I'm well aware it's a dangerous path but I need to find my own positive mindset. One thing I have learnt on this journey is that whilst I gain weight easily with a little bit of determination I lose it fairly easily too!

Ust back from the school run, this time as it was pouring cats and dogs. I'm having a cuppa then off to work. On the way home I need to divert to the post office and then Argos to collect some Christmas parcels. Then it will be a snuggle up in front of the tv evening. DHs job to walk the dog, well she is his 😆

B- cuppa or 2
L- fast
D- Steak, homemade wedges and corn
S- Prosecco and DSs almond and cherry cake which incidentally is lovely 😊

That's 1300 calories.

Have a lovely Friday everyone 😊

DottieLottie1 · 07/12/2019 10:45

Morning!

Working this morning through to late afternoon. Other than that I'm going to have a lazy evening with takeaway and wine 😳

B&L- fast

To make way for....

D- KFC or fish n chips and Prosecco

So that's an easy 1800 calories 😬

Enjoy your Saturday all 😊

DottieLottie1 · 08/12/2019 11:57

Just home from DS's sports fixture. I'm freezing, I definitely feel the cold more when slimmer so that's a negative! Having a cuppa and then a Vanilla and almond milkshake. Will go out with the dog and the DH at some point this afternoon. Then a lazyish evening ahead.

B- fast
L- Vanilla and almond milkshake
D- Morrocan chicken tagine and rice

1100 calories

Enjoy your Sunday all!

Seer · 08/12/2019 20:55

Evening!

Haven't been able to get onto MN until now today.

Had a busy day and night out last night and ate and drank loads! Had a great time tho.

Today, I've been a bit hungover and tired and my eating has been a bit all over the place with snacking at a child's party and then a small dinner... I've no real clue how many calories I've eaten!

I'm actually looking forward to getting back to normal tomorrow!

Have a lovely rest of your weekend! ☺️

OP posts:
Seer · 09/12/2019 09:22

Morning!

So back to normal today with eating habits, work, school run etc.

DS is singing at some school thing this evening and I need to figure out a quick dinner we can eat beforehand.

B: fast
L: dumpling, miso, veg
D: see above - haven't figured it out yet!

In other news, having socialised a lot this weekend, I noticed that:

a) I'm soooo loving being this size again! It's so much more fun getting dressed up to go out when the focus isn't covering my tummy like it was back in May! Life is so much sweeter when I feel so confident and happy about my body. I will not let myself forget how important this is!

B) I had lots of compliments but they were all about my clothes! It doesn't look like anyone ever noticed the almost 2 stone I gained and lost again in the space of a year 🤷🏻‍♀️😀

Have a lovely Monday! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 09/12/2019 09:34

@Seer whilst I'm still not 100% about my body I'm definitely more confident when I'm smaller. Is that wrong? I've also noticed that people are nicer to me too. That's definitely wrong! Glad your in your happy place 😊

Waiting in for a Sky engineer then off for a dog walk. More online Christmas shopping being conducted as I write even though I'm more or less done!

B- hot Dark chocolate almond milk
L- fast
D- pesto pasta, italian meats , breads and cheese.

1000 calories

Enjoy the Carol singing tonight!

Have a good Monday all. 😊

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 09/12/2019 17:58

Argh I'm so cross with myself. Had wine at the weekend and I put on 1.5lb this week. I only had 1/2lb to get my stone award and I blew it. Angry

Seer · 10/12/2019 08:44

@DottieLottie1 I don't think it's wrong that you feel that way, I reckon it's human to care how about healthy and beautiful our bodies are!

@MyGhastIsFlabbered don't be hard on yourself, you've been doing so well and it may well not have been the wine anyway. Dottie and I both still drink alcohol and have steadily lost weight. Maybe it was just one of those fluctuations we all have (me especially!)

Long day at work today, nothing much else planned other than kettlebells and plank this morning and walking the dogs later.

I'm gradually getting there re Xmas, still have most of the DCs presents to get tho!

B: fast
L: rice and stir 'fried' (no oil!) vegetables
D: leftover bean chilli and rice from last night (I don't need to cook as dh away and dc out)

Will be around 1k cals even with a chocolate truffle from my advent calendar.

I'm finding this way of maintaining easy so far... sticking to a rough plan of eating that I know works (b:fast, l: low cal, d: normal but sensible portions), not tracking in MFP any more, only weighing weekly (tho I forgot on Fri!). We'll see how it's working out once I next remember to weigh myself!

Have a fab day all ☺️

OP posts:
Seer · 10/12/2019 09:30

In other news... my waist is a bit smaller! Finally 29.5"! maybe I will get back to 29" after all 🙏

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 10/12/2019 16:23

@MyGhastIsFlabbered as @Seer said I still have a drink or 2 or 3 a few times a week but i factor it into my daily calorie allowance. So for example I may have a few glasses of Prosecco tomorrow as a midweek treat, but I will probably fast breakfast and lunch and have something along the lines of omelette and mountains of salad for dinner. You can lose that 1.5 lbs as quickly!

Well done @Seer on that half inch 😜

I was up and out with the dog early this morning, I'm glad as the weather turned this afternoon. 5 miles and 10,000 steps achieved before 10 am! I've spent the best part of the day in the hair salon so I've got beautiful icy blonde Christmas hair 😊. Finished off my last bits of present shopping just now and awaiting Amazon to deliver a parcel. If I buy anything else between now and Christmas I'm officially being g naughty 😂This evening I've hot the usual chauffeuring service for both DC to their respective sporting commitments.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fast
D- peri peri chicken in pitta, salad, beetroot and olives, lighter than light mayo
S- raspberries

That's only 871 calories so I'll need to add something else in. I really dont need to go that hardcore now! 😳

On the Levi front I've (i think) decided on the 711s but what colour? Either a darkish blue or black as my current Jean's (not Levis) are somewhere between a kind of stone wash and mid blue. Decisions, decisions! 😂 I'll go in store and try on at some point but likely to be January now.

Enjoy your Tuesday all 😊

DottieLottie1 · 11/12/2019 07:54

Morning 🙂

Double shift today. I will try and see poorly DR between them. DR is not at all well and it's hard for everyone 😔 Wont get much walking done today although I must walk fairly far at work but it goes unrecorded. Back home late evening.

B&L- Fast
D- Sweet jacket potato with pineapple cottage cheese and mountains of salad
S- Prosecco

That's 1196 calories

Seer · 11/12/2019 21:27

Evening!

That sounds tough @DottieLottie1, even harder at this time of year I'm guessing too ♥️

It's been a bit of a non-stop day here... dh away so needed to do the school run and walk the dogs before work then had parents evening (all good!) after work.

B: fast
L: left over bean chilli and rice (small portion)
D: pesto pasta with olive bread and broccoli

With a glass of spritzer it was around 1100 cals

Hope you've had a good day.

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 11/12/2019 22:37

It is @Seer , this could be our last Christmas together as we know but it could be next year or the year after. We simply don't t know, so we are going to make the best of the time left 😔. I love Christmas and will make it a good one for everyone despite everything. DR is my mum 🥰

Enjoy your spritzer 😊

DottieLottie1 · 12/12/2019 07:59

Morning all.

Another day of the school run, again DS has too much to carry and bike! Once back from that I will wander down to our polling station and get my vote in. Then off to work for a double shift. I will probably chill with a hot choc in a coffee shop between shifts. Home late evening.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- coconut milk based hot chocolate
D- minestrone soup, crusty roll
S- Blueberries

Calories = 1115 but DS will probably want me to try a piece of his salted caramel cake.....

Enjoy your Thursday everyone 😊

DottieLottie1 · 13/12/2019 08:58

Morning!

I've dropped another 2lb this week despite eating several slices of DS's cakes.... 9st 8lb now that's a 52 lb loss in 7 months to the day! Waist is a comfortable 26", not sure what I started out at but guessing 35/6".

Off to work shortly and home early evening. We are going out for dinner tonight but only pub grub. Will have the steak planned for tonight tomorrow instead.

I've got to turn my thoughts to maintaining now. I'm not sure how to go about it though. I'm definitely worried about regaining 😬

What are your plans? Enjoy your Friday everyone 😊

Seer · 13/12/2019 09:56

Morning!

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday, dh has been away so the mornings have been so busy getting everyone sorted before work.

The DCs are off with a sick bug today so I'm taking it more slowly.

I really felt your love for your DM @DottieLottie1 it brought tears to my eyes. I hope you can make Christmas magical for you all. ♥️

Another 2lb wow! You're like a weight loss machine! I know you're scared to put on weight again but given how easily you lose it it's not like it would be that problematic anyway! You could put on half a stone and lose it again in a month!

I remembered to weigh this morning and i've maintained my previous weight so I'm v happy about that. I've been eating as before, without tracking the cals, and been a little looser in terms of having the odd treat or snack. It feels easy and sustainable so I'm confident that this is the right way for me.

B: fast
L: probably dumplings, miso and veg
D: Indian takeaway and wine

Have a lovely day! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 13/12/2019 15:58

@Seer thanks for your kind words! I also know your right in regards to gaining a little/ losing it again, my big holiday is not long now so want to stay trim for that. Though Christmas will be a little lax and I'm going to enjoy baileys, Christmas pud and mince pies! Funny really as I'm not much of a dessert person 🤷🏼‍♀️

It must be lovely not having to track what you eat. It sounds like you've formed sensible eating habits!

How is everyone else doing?

DottieLottie1 · 14/12/2019 10:44

Working until late afternoon. DS is cooking us all a steak dinner tonight 😋 No other plans. Weather is awful so puts me off going out anywhere!

Enjoy your Saturday all.

Seer · 14/12/2019 10:54

Morning!

Busy afternoon ahead for a DR's birthday tho I'm currently lying in bed writing and then will have a long hot bath!

B: vBLT
L: will probably fast
D: not sure yet but probably something like v burgers

Will likely have some wine later so around 1500-1800 cals

I'm deffo feeling getting a new wardrobe, I'm bored of most of my clothes now!

Have a great day! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 15/12/2019 10:04

Morning! I'm nit out of bed yet 😳 Will get up shortly as DS has a 'team building" day with his sports team. I'm not sure what I'll get up to as I've got to hang around waiting for him and I'm unsure what spectating facilities the venue has. It's a bit too rural to go for a walk, maybe I'll take my wellies and see! DH travelling for work today but back tomorrow mid afternoon.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fast
D- 5% fat beef burger in buns with salad (DC will have sauteed potatoes)

@Seer, new wardrobe shopping founds exciting! I'm just pleased I can now fit in my old clothes, I've got some nice pieces 😉 I got another nice comment from a customer yesterday- I admitted I had dropped nearly 4 stone, they told me I'd developed the thigh gap! 😂

Enjoy your Sunday all. 😊

DottieLottie1 · 16/12/2019 08:37

Morning. I didn't sleep well last night most probably due to DH being away. I'm not sure why that should bother me though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Once I've shooed the DC off to school I need to get ready and then heading for the town centre. I've got the MN 'twitch' and I'm buying more gifts even though I'm finished 😳

Once back I will get the dog out for a long walk but I need to time that well due to the shocking weather.

This afternoon I need to do the big food shop, next weeks of course will be the Christmas food shop. We wont go nuts as we are with family on Christmas day and eating out boxing day. We have people round between Christmas and new year.

Lazy evening with a Christmas movie or two!

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fast
D- Pesto pasta, Italian meats and cheeses

975 calories
