Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

Morning all🙂

I'm just back from taking the dog out, weather not great but managed to get in just over 4.5 miles. That's 9300 steps already for the day 😉 I also try and walk briskly but it's not always possible when the mutt stops for a sniff, pee or poo! Though I'm the o e that's regularly taken for a walk/sprint if a squirrel is spotted 😆

I'm currently watching a Christmas movie whilst I wait for a load of washing to finish. I finally got my hands on the alpro dark chocolate almond milk drink. Its brilliant cold or warm and doesn't necessarily need sweetening. Are 47 cal per 100 ml makes it a great hot choc alternative.

This afternoon I plan to tackle my wardrobe at last, bin bags at the ready. I'll donate them rather than bin them.

Main food shop will be done early evening once DH back from work.

B- Dark chocolate almond milk
L- fast
D- pesto tagliatelle and italian meats. Bread and olives.

960 calories

How's everyone getting on and what are your plans for the day?

DottieLottie1 · 25/11/2019 18:06

Well it's definitely been a day of move more. I'm up to 21,000 steps and I've still got to pop out to our local shop (by foot as it's only 5 mins away) as I forgot the damn sugar. DD will not eat her daily weetabix without it 🙄. So that's 11 miles and apparently (courtesy of MFP) 859 calories burnt. Feeling 💪but secretly wish I could run that distance 😆

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 25/11/2019 19:53

Woohoo! Another 2 1/2lb off today and got my half stone award! I'm dead chuffed because I've worked so hard this time.

DottieLottie1 · 25/11/2019 20:13

🙌🏼 that's coming off at a nice steady pace @MyGhastIsFlabbered, pleased for you!

Seer · 26/11/2019 07:47

Morning!

That's amazing progress @MyGhastIsFlabbered that's such a lot of weight!

Been a busy couple of days, with family here and work, but all good things.

I've not exactly dieted the last few days as we have been eating and drinking a fair bit with our visitors! Despite that I've made another tiny but still gratefully received loss of 4oz anyway, it flickered into the pound below too.

I'm having some photos done soon so needing to think of (buy/borrow!) suitable clothes for that, I'm very glad that I'm slim again for it!

Usual day of work, dog walk etc today

B: fast
L: miso, dumpling, veg
D: veg and bean chilli & rice (+ one taco wrap)

Have a lovely day all! ☺️

DottieLottie1 · 26/11/2019 08:48

Visitors always scupper plans @Seer, especially with secret dieting 😂.

I do think (no scientific training) that sometimes your body needs an occasional pause and kickstart to continue to lose weight. So if you've been dieting relatively hardcore then have a day or two of exceeding your calories it somehow restarts weight loss 🤷🏼‍♀️

I ended up with 24123 steps with 12 miles on the clock yesterday! New record me thinks, and will be hard to beat 😂

My wardrobe is finally sorted and I've actually got alot of old clothes that I'd forgotten about. I dont need much in the way of new clothes but some are definitely stuck in a time warp 😂 . I've got 3 dresses that I had pre-DH that I cant bear to get to rid for sentimental reasons. Also, the dress I wore on our first date when I was 21, put it this way we are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary next year.....

Once I've finished my cuppa (in bed) I'm going to get ready and take the dog out. That will probably be a 4-5 mile walk. On my to-do list is to clean all the lower level windows inside and out. Brush down our wood cladding and spruce up the front garden. All in preparation for Christmas decorating at the weekend 😊

This evening will be the normal chauffeur service for both DC to various sporting commitments.

B- Dark Chocolate almond milk warmed to make hot chocolate.
L- fast
D- roast chicken in pitta with salad and olives
S- raspberries

That's quite low (as in too low) in calories so I will need to top it up with something.

What are your plans everyone? Have you made a good start with festive plans or is it too early to mention for some? 😜

Enjoy your Tuesday
😊

DottieLottie1 · 27/11/2019 07:53

Morning 🙂

Working today with a double shift, home late evening. I will probably end up in one of the coffee shops on the high street. I might shake things up and try one of their festive offerings alas with almond or coconut milk alternative.

B- cuppa or 2
L- festive hot choc
D- Jacket sweet potato with pineapple cottage cheese and salad
S- 🍾🥂

That's around the 1200 calorie mark.

Enjoy your Wednesday everyone 😊

Seer · 27/11/2019 08:25

Morning ☺️

Yes visitors really do scupper secret dieting 😂 The only meal that's easy is breakfast as no-one notices in the madness of school morning plus I don't mind saying I fast then as I've done that off and on for years anyway.

Starting the day with a 2nd Invisalign consultation... should be interesting. Then work, collect DCs from school, nip into town to check on a coat dh might buy me and then home to walk the dogs and cook dinner.

Planning to go to a medium night tonight - I've never been to one before (only been to see them 1:1) - it should be fun if nothing else!

I've just realised I've been busy every evening this week so far. Mon and tues with things that are related to my work and too outing to describe and tonight the medium night. Looking forward to a chilled evening tomorrow!

B: fast
L: Asian dumplings, veg (inc new seaweed I bought!), miso
D: v sausage & lentil casserole with cavalo Nero

Should be 1k cals max.

Have a lovely day all! ☺️

Seer · 27/11/2019 08:28

Well done on all your decluttering, cleaning and sorting @DottieLottie1 That's a great feeling I bet!

I'm going to put sorting my wardrobe on my to do list too - one for the weekend maybe.

I'd like to have a clear idea of the gaps in my wardrobe so that I'm ready for having a few perfect dresses made for me next year.

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 28/11/2019 09:06

Morning!

Hope you enjoyed your medium evening @Seer. I'm quite sceptical over that sort of thing, I would definitely need to hear it all with my own ears!

Double shift again today with a training session between shifts. Wont get any real walking I today but I should make up for that as I'm on a/leave for the rest of the week.

B- Hot Dark chocolate almond milk
L- fruit and a protein shake
D- minestrone soup and crusty rolls

Will be sub 1000.

Weigh in tomorrow, new target weight is 9st 9 but only to give me a bit of leeway for Christmas time. Big holiday only a few weeks later so dont want to risk weight gain for that 😆 My happy weight is 10st 0

How's everyone today? .

Enjoy your Thursday 😊

Seer · 28/11/2019 09:10

Morning! ☺️

Well, the medium night was kinda trippy! Then I got home and felt STARVING... That pretty much never happens to me late at night. Weird! I ate a few bits of ciabatta with olive tapenade and half a chocolate muffin so not exactly the best choices either 😀

Usual day of work etc planned, tho excitingly my potential photographer is coming here later to meet me and look at possible locations.

B: fast
L: miso, veg, dumplings
D: puff pastry pizza with veg and olive toppings, baked potato scallops, broccoli

Should be around 1k cals.

What have you got planned today? ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 28/11/2019 21:53

Oooooh, your job does sound interesting @Seer/ Mrs Focker..... my imagination has gone into overdrive 😆

Seer · 29/11/2019 07:42

I've lost a bunch of weight at once! I was hoping to drop until the lb down and I've missed that and dropped into the next one down instead! I couldn't quite believe my eyes when I saw the scales this morning!

I'm now just 8oz off my goal. I've lost just over 25lb altogether since May - which seems a lot to me. And still only one person has noticed! 😂

I'm pretty sure this is as slim I've been since having DCs. I'm going to try my wedding dress on this weekend to see for sure (I know I was perfectly slim then).

I haven't seen the reduction in my waist size I was hoping for but I'm so happy with myself and my body overall that it's not really bothering me. I don't want to be any thinner overall so I'll accept that my waist, in its wisdom, wants to stay as is for now.

My work is hard to explain even when I'm not trying to out myself @DottieLottie1 😀 It drives my DH mad when people ask him what his wife does, especially as he's in the suited and booted corporate world 😀

Quiet day today which is perfect! Work, school pick up, dog walk and then take away, wine and film tonight. Dreamy!

B: fast
L: will finish up leftovers from the sausage & lentil casserole (no sausages tho)
D: Chinese takeaway & wine

Have a beautiful Friday! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 29/11/2019 08:53

🙌🏼 @Seer , you sound chuffed!

Nothing for me this week but I am below target, I'm not particularly bothered but I have gone a little hardcore this week. The scales were flickering down 1-2 lbs below the weight it eventually plumped on. Maybe I should get some scales that weigh in st, lbs and oz? I find that when this happens I plateau for a while and then drop a load in one go, as if the body is catching up with itself 🤷🏼‍♀️ On a positive and opposite to you @Seer my waist has shrunk. The measuring tape now shows a relatively snug 26.5 😊

I'm using up the last bits of a/leave before christmas shutdown. I might brave the sales, black Friday and all. I'll get the dog out at some point today. Will also need to give the house a but of a spring (🤔) clean in preparation for the Christmas decs!

B- warmed Dark chocolate almond milk
L- fast
D- steak, homemade wedges, peas and grilled tomato.
S- Prosecco 😳

That's 1150 calories

Enjoy your Friday all 😊

Seer · 30/11/2019 09:50

Your waist must be looking so slender @DottieLottie1 ! I'm so jel!

I forgot to weigh myself before drinking a cup of tea this morning (this has only happened once before) so I'm wondering whether to take it as a sign to start semi-maintaining.

My thoughts so far:

Move to weekly weigh-ins on Fridays.

Keep eating as I have been until Christmas but without tracking it in MFP (I'll continue to post my daily food plan here).

About to have a sauna and then we have a child-free day and dh and I are going to London or Cambridge ☺️

B: vBLT
L: fast
D: eating out

What's your plans everyone? ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 30/11/2019 10:08

@Seer your idea of semi-maintaing is similar to mine! I'm not really calorie tracking on MFP now but have a mental idea! I even allowed myself a couple of fo dant covered shortcake biscuits yesterday 😆 The thing I will be doing differently to you is weighing daily so I dont take my eye off the ball!

Im the name of Christmas I've got DH to order me a beautiful faux fur coat in a black Friday deal. He's also going to buy my Levi's but I darent order online as I know I'll have to try on a few pairs to get the right fit. Cant be doing with multiple returns.

Off work again! Going out with DH shortly to fetch a parcel then on to that posh garden centre near us @Seer. Having a pub dinner this evening.

B & L - fast
D- pub grub whatever takes my fancy.
S- lots of wine 😳

How is everyone getting on? Enjoy your Saturday 😊

DottieLottie1 · 01/12/2019 21:19

Happy 1sr Dec everyone.

Took DS to an away fixture today so was out most of the morning through to early afternoon. Have just finished doing the internal Christmas decs, I will the outside ones for tomorrow seeing as it's too dark now. All good on the food front, made a lovely Morrocan tagine dish for dinner.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fast
D- Morrocan Chicken tagine with rice

Around 1100 calories, kitchen closed.

Hope you all has a great weekend 😊

Seer · 02/12/2019 08:59

Morning! ☺️

Goodness I don't feel ready for Dec/Xmas yet! I've only just started even thinking about presents.

We put up our non-tree decorations yesterday and plan to buy a tree next weekend so we're organised that way at least!

Typical day of work/school run/dog walk today and then I'm working in my Mrs Fockerish way tonight 😀

B: fast
L: miso, dumplings, broccoli
D: sag dal, rice, chapatis

Will be around 1k-1200 cal even with several cups of tea and some dark chocolate.

I've noticed I've adapted to eating this way now (not 1k every day! Just this pattern of eating: fast, light lunch, normal dinner, and rarely snacking) and don't seem to want to do anything differently even if I can.

I've been losing weight so slowly for the past month that I'm probably almost maintaining anyway so maybe this is how I'll continue from now on unless I keep losing more weight (which isn't my plan).

Have a lovely day! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 02/12/2019 09:10

I'd assume your body is telling you something @Seer!

Starting the day with a few cups of tea. I'll take the dog out at some point but I'm awaiting a parcel (Christmas present for DH) from Amazon. Unfortunately due to age restrictions on the product I need to be in as they cant leave it in a safe place or with a neighbour. Problem now is do I chance it? Knowing my luck they will try and deliver if I take the dog out but if I stay in it wont arrive until 9pm. Oh well, 3rd world problem and all that. Outside Christmas decs need putting up. Mid morning I'll either go almond milk hot choc or a vanilla and almond milkshake. Dinner will be pesto pasta and italian meats. Should be around 1000 calories.

Enjoy your Monday all 😊

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 02/12/2019 19:19

Drum roll please....

At this week's weigh in I've lost 5lb. Only 1/2lb more until I get my stone award.

DottieLottie1 · 02/12/2019 21:27

🙌🏼 @MyGhastIsFlabbered, you sound like your in the zone 😉 How much more would you like to lose?

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 02/12/2019 21:38

Unfortunately at least another 3 stone but it's all going in the right direction.

DottieLottie1 · 03/12/2019 09:24

@MyGhastIsFlabbered it's a great start. I've lost 3 st 6 since mid May and have hit my target weight, just want to lose another 2/3 lbs to give me room for christmas festivities 😳 . I shifted the weight quite quickly in the end but at the time I wanted it gone overnight. Amazing that it goes on so quick but the reverse is a different story.

I'm off out in a bit as I've got to collect some parcels and check out a couple of garden centres for potential gifts. This afternoon I will get the dog out for a longish walk. Usual household chores need doing. This evening is the normal Tuesday night drop off and pick up for both DC to their sporting commitments. Back to work tomorrow.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fast
D- Roast chicken with hot sauce in pitta plus salad, olives and beetroot
S- fruit

That's around 817 calories

Enjoy your Tuesday 😊

Seer · 03/12/2019 20:29

That's amazing @MyGhastIsFlabbered ! That's so much weight to have lost!

Busy day here and didn't get a chance to post this morning.

B: fast
L: miso, veg, dumplings + 2 advent chocs!
D: spaghetti with v meatballs and broccoli

Probably around 1k. No urge to change my eating habits yet, even tho I'm now maintaining, I feel satiated. I guess old cravings have gone and my stomach has shrunk.

Massage booked in the morning which I soooo fancy!

Have a lovely evening all!

OP posts:
Seer · 04/12/2019 08:15

Morning! ☺️

Starting the day with a massage - yay! Sadly I'm going to work after that as I've got lots to get done before I break for Xmas.

Dh is away and the DCs want v macaroni cheese for dinner. I might see if I can get my fave Thai curry ready meal from waitrose for me (it's the only ready meal I ever have and I love it!)

B: fast
L: miso, dumplings, chard, broccoli
D: either the Thai curry or macaroni plus tender stem broccoli

I'm guessing around 1k cal.

I hopped on the scales for a cheeky weigh this morning and I'm still at my lowest weight, which is novel for me given how much I usually fluctuate upwards again after I hit a new low weight!

If I drop down to 153lb (which would be just into 10 stone for the first time for many years) then I'm OK with that. Any more and I think I consider consciously start eating more as I know looking too slim doesn't suit my body shape (my hips and thighs stay wide but aren't balanced by curves elsewhere) and I'm not sure it'll do my face any favours at this age!

Have a lovely day everyone! ☺️
