Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

Morning!

I'm planning on making a significant dent in my Christmas present shopping today. I'll probably go into the local town centre and the out of town shopping area. I'll also need to get to a department store at some point but closest JL is Westfield Stratford or Debs- lakeside Essex- that'll have to wait until next week or week after.

Will also take the dog on a long walk hoping the weather improves. Then the weekly food shop needs doing.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- raspberries
D- pesto tagliatelle, goats cheese, Italian meats and breads with balsamic oil.

Should fit 1000 calories.

Any interesting plans?

Enjoy your Monday 😊

MrsGrindah · 11/11/2019 07:37

Morning All,
Work all week but working from home 2 days so not so bad. Must have a good week this week..really don’t want to tip into 11 stone again. Back on the hula hooping too.
Breakfast will be yoghurt, lunch Fast , Dinner will be a huge pile of veg leftover from yesterday’s roast and some form of fish. No booze till the weekend now

Seer · 11/11/2019 13:37

Afternoon all! ☺️

Nothing exciting going on here... work ( tho my work is quite exciting atm, I can't really talk about it 🤷🏻‍♀️), school run, dog walk etc.

I went to the dentist for an Invisalign consultation this morning - first step was to take pics and then I'll go back for more info and decide whether to commit to paying for impressions etc.

I've just made a big batch of veg and herb soup for my week's lunches. Filling, tasty, nutritious and super low in cals!

B: fast
L: veg soup
D: pasta in mushroom, garlic and cashew cream sauce, broccoli

Should be an easy sub-1k cal day.

Determined to lose another 1lb this week.

Re shopping/JL: we go to Cambridge quite often @DottieLottie1 but I suppose it's just that bit further for you so Westfield makes sense.

Wish me luck ladies...it's my first weigh in at fat club tonight. I've been very good, didn't touch a drop of alcohol all weekend so hopefully it'll show on the scales tonight.

DottieLottie1 · 11/11/2019 15:47

Yes, good luck @MyGhastIsFlabbered and dont be hard on yourself. Baby steps and as we've said a fair few times already on this thread it's a journey not a sprint!

@Seer, there is also JL in Welwyn too but the one in Westfield is much nicer. I've got gift vouchers from last year so JL would be better than Debs. On the subject I cant wait for the JL advert to drop, it almost signals the start of Christmas for me!

Done my 10,000 steps which is just shy of 5 miles, still got thr food shop to do

DottieLottie1 · 11/11/2019 16:08

And I've just remembered that there is a JL in Chelmsford!

MrsGrindah · 11/11/2019 16:53

Hi everyone
When I first joined this thread I listed some daft motivational things to encourage me to lose weight, like the joy of a towel wrapping around you properly. Well today I’ve been thinking about the more unusual things that your weight affects too:
Buying expensive clothes for an investment...I can never guarantee I’m going to be the same size year to year to risk it
Having anything tailor made ..see above!
Swapping clothes with friends..I’m pretty much always bigger!
Having a good clear out...I darednt in case I need those sizes again
Where you shop...I don’t want to go into a place that makes me buy an XL when I KNOW I’m not !

Just thought I’d share my musings. Off to hula hoop now! Hope you all keep warm tonight...it’s freezing Up North!

DottieLottie1 · 11/11/2019 18:02

Wrap up in something warm and slinky 😉 @MrsGrindah. Yes, I'm with you on alot of those points. Now we have the option of buying something that doesn't have a stretchy waistband. Luckily for me I was is denial about my weight gain and therefore still have all my 'small' clothes. I didn't actually buy anything for my larger self, just stretched those tretchy waistband!

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 11/11/2019 19:51

4lb off this week. Stupidly I'm disappointed because once I lost 7lb in a week and was kind of hoping for a similar result. Trying to be philosophical. At least it's a step in the right direction.

Seer · 11/11/2019 20:02

Hope it goes well at SW @MyGhastIsFlabbered and you see a loss on the scales. You're not allowed to mention the F-word here, btw 😉

Oooh I love that list @MrsGrindah

Like @DottieLottie1 I was in denial about my gain and it happened over a ridiculously short space of time (1.5 stone went on in 6 months on and then off again in 6 months) so I didn't buy anything bigger or get rid of anything, I just ended up in a limited selection of stretchy clothes. It's so nice to have the choice of my whole wardrobe once again!

In a weird way, I'm kind of glad this happened as a) I'm so pleased with myself for losing the weight b) I appreciate my body/size now way more than I ever did before!

I'm planning to have some dresses tailor-made in the new year as a 'well done' to myself. I'm confident I won't put on the weight again so I'm happy to make the investment.

Seer · 11/11/2019 20:03

Cross-posted @MyGhastIsFlabbered 4lb is loads!!! I'm guessing any more than that must be water weight.

Really well done!

OP posts:
MyGhastIsFlabbered · 11/11/2019 20:27

Apologies for my use of the F word. It's what I've always called SW so force of habit.

MrsGrindah · 11/11/2019 20:32

4lbs is fab.. i need to lose that for Xmas and I will struggle.

DottieLottie1 · 11/11/2019 20:37

@MyGhastIsFlabbered as @Seer says, 4 lb is loads! It's almost the equivalent to losing a 2 Litre bottle of soda.......

@Seer yay to your idea of tailored pieces 😁

DottieLottie1 · 12/11/2019 07:44

Morning.

Non working day for me. Hoping to get a lot of walking in today. I need to go to Tesco to get the bits I couldn't get yesterday in my main shop (Lidl). I've then got to pick up something for DH from the local garden centre. I'll pull on my wellies and pound the streets and countryside for an hour or two. Then home for a cheesy Christmas movie before the DC are back from school. Tonight I'm on chauffeur duty for DD and DS to and from their chosen sports training sessions.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fast
D- Roast chicken and saladi pitta
S- Blueberries, sugar free liquorice if I need something sweet

That comes to around 900 calories. I hope to burn a good few too!

What are your plans everyone?

Enjoy your Tuesday😊

Seer · 12/11/2019 09:40

Enjoy your ramble @DottieLottie1 ! It's cold out there, wrap up warm!

Dh is away on business so I'm juggling everything here on my own, have a long day at work, and feeling a bit ugh as I have a cold.

Decided to have breakfast for a change to give myself a bit of a boost.

B: olive tapenade on crumpets (sooo yum!)
L: veg soup
D: Thai curry, rice, pak Choi in garlic

Should be 1k despite breakfast as the soup is so low in cals.

Have a lovely day all ☺️

DottieLottie1 · 12/11/2019 13:06

Hope your feeling better soon @Seer , as you know take care of yourself especially when poorly. 🤧💐

Seer · 13/11/2019 08:16

Thank you @DottieLottie1

I'm still feeling below par and will try to take it easy again tho with dh away and DS's friends over this afternoon it's going to be interesting 😀

I've lost some inches on the tape all of a sudden!

My waist is now 29.5" the tape measure is on the tight side but I know there's been a genuine loss there.

It's looking my plan of losing another 3lb will take me nicely towards 29" waist.

My hips have also lost a whole inch 😮 and are now 38", I suspect it's actually fat lost off my tummy (which is now basically flat) rather than my hips - which I'm happy with. I like having curvy hips!

Most importantly... my measurements are all now slightly smaller than the ones I had made a note of 5 years ago and was seeing as my goal!

B: fast
L: veg soup
D: not sure yet but will keep low cal

Will aim for another 1k day

Have a lovely day all ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 13/11/2019 08:46

That's great @Seer , it's funny how sometimes your measurements show loss but your weight doesn't and then vice versa 🤷🏼‍♀️

First day of my working week. Double shift, will go for a walk between them but I wint be able to get in my non working day mileage. Prosecco and The Apprentice tonight!

B &L - fast
D- Jacket potato with pineapple cottage cheese and salad
S- Prosecco

That's 1049 calories (depending on how much I drink 😬😳) I'll probably add in some fruit somewhere.

Have a good Wednesday everyone 😊

Seer · 13/11/2019 09:30

Enjoy your prosecco Wednesday @DottieLottie1 !

What will you do re drinking prosecco when you start to maintain?

I've just been looking at my measurements against clothes sizing (I'm using ASOS's chart which I think is pretty standard) and according to that:

Bust: 12 (although my boobs are biggish my shoulders and rib cage are smaller so I tend to find 10s fit much better)

Waist and hips: right between a 10 and 12

So I guess I can say that I'm a size 11 🤷🏻‍♀️ which is a fine size by me.

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 13/11/2019 15:07

I'll probably drink as I have been. I've actually cut right down. I'm looking your size 11, not quite a 10 but a size 12 a little large!

Seer · 14/11/2019 12:32

Afternoon!

Still feeling rough so nothing much planned today other than just getting thru it!

B: fast
L: veg soup
D: veg pizza on cauliflower base

Aiming for 1k cal again - will probably use them up with the exertion of coughing!

No loss yet this week but the average of each day's weights is probably the lowest I've had so hopefully it's in sight 🙏

Have a lovely day all! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 14/11/2019 14:42

@Seer I've seemed to come down with something similar, cough and a streaming nose! I'm not sure how I caught it from you but MN is getting freaked by the day 🤣

Double shift today, between shifts right now so I'm currently in a Starbucks having a coconut milk hot choc, bliss! I wont be home until 8pm so nothing else planned for the day.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- coconut milk based hot chocolate
D- omelette with goats cheese, jalapeno and basil, mountains of salad.

That's only 859, a bit hardcore looking so I'll probably add another 100 or so calories in, maybe fruit.

Weigh in tomorrow, x fingers I've shifted something. @Seer it does sound like a drop is on it's way for you.

Enjoy your Thursday everyone 😊

Seer · 14/11/2019 20:14

Our menstrual cycles will be synching next @DottieLottie1 😀 Hope you feel better soon.

Keeping my fingers crossed for your weigh in tomorrow 🤞
