Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

I'm so sorry to hear about your DR @DottieLottie1 I'm wishing for smoother times ahead for you both.

Lovely to have you back @MyGhastIsFlabbered I've never done SW before but I'm never sure why it gets a bad rap, it looks like one of the most sensible diets out there plus you get the support and accountability. Do feel welcome to keep posting here too tho!

@MrsGrindah great news! Such a lovely feeling when we're enjoy being in our own skin again!

The old dress I mentioned fit perfectly. I'm going to try to upload a crop of when I wore it 12 years ago so you can get a sense of it.

THE jeans are still a way off being comfortable tho so I must have been slimmer whenever it was I was wearing them. Either that or it's my premenstrual bloat atm 🤷🏻‍♀️

Usual day of work, dog walk and school run...

B: fast
L: veg soup
D: Malaysian laksa

Aiming for 1k again.

Have a lovely day all! ☺️

The old dress I mentioned that I tried on again yesterday and it fit!

The blue band around the waist is fitted rather than adjustable so is a good one to use to check my size now against my size 12 years ago (when this pic was taken!)

Ooh I love that dress Seer and I’m not just saying that! How lovely that you can bring old clothes back to life!

DottieLottie1 · 06/11/2019 20:29

Hi all,

@MrsGrindah so pleased your happy! The test garment is oh so important a d handy! @Seer you looked lovely in that dress, bet you still do and slim! I was given new work shorts today, not the size 12 ones I'd ordered as they haven't come in yet, however my current t ones are so big they are unwearable. I was given the options of size 16 or 8, I tried the 8 and they were perfect. I am in no way a size 8 though, va it sizing is ridiculous. I'm size 10 waist and 12 hips.

Was at work today, double shift. Didn't get a real walk in today. Saw my DR between shifts.

B & L- fast
D- Jacket potato with pineapple cottage cheese and salad.

Wednesday =Prosecco cosied up on the sofa ready for tonight's episode of the apprentice.

Well done everyone 😊

DottieLottie1 · 07/11/2019 07:58

Morning all,

Working today so no interesting plans. Double shift so I will try and go for a walk between them.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- coconut milk based hot chocolate
D- omelette with goats cheese, salami and jalapeno. Side salad.
S- Blueberries

That's around 930 calories.

Weigh day tomorrow but not expecting a shift on the scales. It's much harder now even though I'm sticking religiously to plan. I dont 'feel' like I've lost anything like I have in past weeks. Just want the last few pounds gone! Especially with Christmas around the corner 😬

Have a more interesting day than me! Enjoy your Thursday 😊

DottieLottie1 · 08/11/2019 09:00

Well, I just wrote a longish post and although it apparently posted "successfully" it doesn't appear to be here!

So, I've lost 1 lb this week. 2 lb remaining!

Starting weight (Mid May) 13 st 4
Current weight- 10 st 2
Goal- 10 st 0

44 lbs in just under 6 months.

The loss is very slow now, I expect as I'm in my ideal range now. I will keep going though.

I've just got the DC off to school and I'm now making tonight's dinner as I'm time limited this evening. Working through lunch and then off to see poorly DR. I will be running a few errands for them and hopefully they will allow me to do a bit of cleaning- although they know my intentions are in the right place I think they find it irritating 😬

B- a cuppa or 2
L- fast
D- Chilli con carne, rice, tacos, tortilla chips and tex mex dips
S- I'm going g to call it a snack even though it's not, Prosecco😉

Should be about 1500 calories as long as I portion control well.

What are you all up to today?

Enjoy your Friday 😊

Seer · 08/11/2019 13:21

That's brilliant news @DottieLottie1 Well done! A pound is great progress at your stage.

I've just come on and feeling like I just want to lie on the sofa under a blanket reading a good book. Alas, I've been working 😬

B: fast
L: v cheese on toast (really fancied easy-to-make comfort food)
D: takeaway (Chinese I think) plus some wine

Will probably be around 1500 cals too.

Have a lovely day ☺️

Seer · 08/11/2019 13:22

I think Prosecco makes a great "snack" 😀

MrsGrindah · 08/11/2019 14:13

I have JUST GOT BACK INTO MY OLD JEANS! I’m so chuffed. They are a nice fit ( although not as loose as they used to be!). Comfortable enough for me to wear them to work.I need to make sure I don’t get complacent now..still half a stone to go!

Seer · 08/11/2019 15:50

Yay @MrsGrindah!! That's brilliant (and that's literally why we're here so it's a Team Success too 😀)!!

How will you celebrate?

OP posts:
MrsGrindah · 08/11/2019 16:29

I’m going out for a curry ( in my jeans!) and then back on it tomorrow! Thanks everyone. Told my DH about this thread and he thought it was an excellent idea.

DottieLottie1 · 08/11/2019 21:07

Yes, well done MrsGrindah! Celebrate away, you know you deserve it 😉

I think we can safely say that as long as we dont go mad we can still eat what we like. Obviously I mean controlling portion size and making sensible choices, it doesn't mean going completely without. I go slightly hardcore(sub 1000) for 2/3 days a week, then meet my 1200 limit for a couple of days. Weekends is a bit of a blowout. Its working for me so I'm going to keep it this way.

Come on, we can all do it and it's better to be in it together. 🙂

DottieLottie1 · 09/11/2019 09:27

Morning all 🙂

Up and ready for work, just having a cuppa before I leave. Working mid morning through to late afternoon. Not planning on doing anything other than watching Saturday night tv and possibly a movie, with a few glasses of Prosecco of course 😉

B & L- fast
D- takeaway probably from the chippy

  • a few glasses of Prosecco

Will be around 1600 calories. Saturday is my biggest blowout day!

Doing anything nice over the weekend?

Enjoy your Saturday everyone 😊

Seer · 09/11/2019 12:51

Afternoon!

My day is panning out similar to yours @DottieLottie1 Lots of relaxing, reading, watching films, walking dogs and pottering about.

I also need to do some stuff in the garden, ideally before more frost comes.

B: v sausage and tomato sandwich
L: will probably fast
D: home-made pizza

Will probably be between 1300 and 1500 cals depending on wine consumption!

I said I'll review whether to continue dieting at the end of this week or start to maintain.:: as I lost a pound earlier this week, I've decided to continue, albeit slowly and without any pressure. Any loss from now on is a bonus and gives me more leeway when I do start to maintain (I think - not sure it works like that!) If I can lose 2lb (getting to 155lb) think that'll be my place to stop.

Have a lovely day all. ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 09/11/2019 16:08

@Seer so we both have 2 lb to lose. Like you I dont have to lose it as I'm bang in the middle of my BMI range (this definitely is a good indicator for me although I understand it might not work for others) but my 'happy' weight is 10st flat. I'm going to have a good old think about how to maintain my weight. I'm thinking of adding 100 calories daily week one and week one what happens and if that works add a few more in. I'm guessing to maintain I'll need about 1800 calories as long as I remain as active. I think I've got a handle of portion control and how many calories. I'm hoping that I wont have to actively count but my subconscious will!

DottieLottie1 · 10/11/2019 16:13

We've just got back from watching DS play his sport and a quick stop off at tesco. I have already made tonight dinner and I'm currently feet up in front of the tv! Not much exercise done for me today but I'll up it tomorrow.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fast
D- lasagne and curly kale
S- raspberries

Have a good day everyone

I mean this nicely Lulu..bugger off!

MrsGrindah · 10/11/2019 18:37

Hi. I’ve been a bit slack this weekend. I said I’d be back on it yesterday but had far too much wine and cheese. Haven’t done much better today . Won’t weigh in till Friday though and will be “good”. Need to do more hula hooping. Hope you have all had lovely weekends.
