Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

I'm back after a mad weekend (organising and celebrating a birthday in the family) and I'm so glad you are too @TantricTwist ! We've missed you!

😀 at your shorts falling down @DottieLottie1! Did anyone see?

It's been too crazy today to record cals but I've tried to err on the sensible side. Back on it properly tomorrow.

My weight is seems to be stuck at the mo but I'm due on and that does seem to happen. Fingers crossed it'll dip soon 🙏

TantricTwist · 13/10/2019 20:55

@Seer yay to mad fun weekends. Glad you had a good time of it. And I'm sure you got loads of compliments at how fabulous you are looking these days.

Joy of joys I chucked on a T-shirt I haven't worn in a while and it hangs nice and loose meaning I'm losing all over. Hallelujah Grin

DottieLottie1 · 14/10/2019 09:20

Its paying off @TantricTwist!...

@Seer I don't think so, but customers have noticed they are baggy, I keep having to hold them up! I am however worried my bum will be on show In the interim especially with the wiggly movements I demonstrate 😬😳😂

Non working day. I've just dropped at school as it was pouring. I'm back home and done a quick tidy and made myself a cuppa. I've taken it back to bed! Will get up properly soon and then a more thorough tidy operation will commence. I'm waiting in for a delivery so might catch a cheesy movie this afternoon. Will need to take the dog out at some point but that will be a pick my moment scenario because if the rain. Big weekly food shop also needs doing.

B- cuppa or 2, Vanilla and almond milkshake
L-Fast
D- Pesto Pasta Verde, italian meats and goat cheese

Should be sub 1000.

Have a good Monday everyone!

Seer · 14/10/2019 22:55

I spoke too soon... hopefully this was the last day of madness and we're back to usual tomorrow! Guests leave in the morning and normal life can recommence.

@TantricTwist the last time I met up with a big group of friends I got lots of compliments and then none yesterday but funnily enough did today when I was feeling very menstrual-bloated!

My friend kept saying how slim I look, how jealous she is etc. It's weird because this size feels normal to me now so it seems odd (but nice!) when someone comments on me looking slim!

@DottieLottie1 sorry I didn't come back to you about why I was over your way... erm... it had wheels? 😀

How are you getting on @MrsGrindah, @MyGhastIsFlabbered, @Threadbaretoe and all?

OP posts:
Seer · 14/10/2019 22:57

Great news about the loose t shirt @TantricTwist, every centimetre lost is progress ☺️

@DottieLottie1 I'm snorting at the thought of you wiggling away holding your baggy shorts up 😂

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 15/10/2019 06:59

@DottieLottie1 I'm snorting at the thought of you wiggling away holding your baggy shorts up 😂 @Seer - It is exactly this! I know where you were too.... Its not hear your getting some compliments, it just gives that little bit of extra motivation to stay on track for the final push. .

I'm going to have a cuppa in a bit and wake the DC. Once they are off to school I've got to get a tyre changed. Back home to take the dog out. This evening I will chauffeur DS and a friend to training in the next town.

I wore my old jeans yesterday- not 'the' Jean's though and besides my goal treat will be to buy new ones (yes, possibly Levi's 😉). Well, they didnt really stay up either! Like said baggy shorts I was hoiking them up all day. They are only a cheapy pair of primark's in a size 12 but I suspect I stretched them whilst I wore them piling on weight- I haven't worn them in 18 months. I don't dare try on 'the' Jean's which are a pair from gap in a size 8. I may never get back in those as I accept that size isn't sustainable or healthy at my height (5'9").

B- cuppa or two
L- Vanilla and almond milkshake
D- roast chicken in pitta with salad.
S- Blueberries

Should be sub 1000 calories.

Have a more interesting Tuesday than I am everyone!

Seer · 15/10/2019 11:08

Oooh get you in your too-big size 12 jeans @DottieLottie1 ! I'm sure your measurements must be a size 10 (35-28-37) by now so I don't think it's just that you've stretched them.

You're going to have to accept the harsh reality that you're a slinky size 10 now 😀

The scales were doing that flickering thing this morning so I'm hopeful that an overdue loss is on its way 🙏

It was meant to be a working day for me (and I'm right in the middle of releasing something) but we've got a power cut all day so... 🤷🏻‍♀️

On the upside it'll give me a chance to both rest and clear up the mess from the weekend.

Other than that, just the usual dog walk etc.

B: fast
L: not sure, might go out for lunch to get out of this cold dark house and warm up!
D: Vegetable laksa (Waitrose ready meal) - dh away and children eating elsewhere so thought I'd make life easy for myself try it

Will aim for 1k cals.

Have a lovely day all ☺️

Bonus... just seen myself in a video taken yesterday and was happy with how I looked! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 15/10/2019 12:04

Glad your feeling really happy @Seer!

Never been sure as to what figure type I am! I'm not a pear or an apple. My stats are 34-28-38. My hips are quite wide but i definitely dont appear as a pear. I have really broad, square shoulders and am athletic looking (more so when slim!). I've tried entering in my stats to various sites but they always throw up different answers 🤷🏼‍♀️

Seer · 15/10/2019 13:14

Your frame sounds similar to my sister's @DottieLottie1, she has broad shoulders too and although she has a smallish bust and wide hips, she looks much more rectangular/athletic than pear-shaped.

I guess the sites where you put in your measurements don't tend to take shoulder width into account.

Regardless, your waist/hip curve is to die for. 🙌

OP posts:
Seer · 15/10/2019 13:23

Btw, my current measurements are:

B: 38
W: just under 30 (can't wait until I can say 29"!)
H just under 39

I don't actually mind my bust and hips staying that size, if my waist can miraculously shrink!

Even though my bust is on the large size (technically 12-14) my shoulders and rib cage are quite small so I tend to need a smaller size on top than on the bottom! I can usually fit a 10 on top or dress whereas I need a 12 for jeans or skirts.

Body shapes, huh? 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 16/10/2019 08:17

Morning.

@Seer your body shape sounds like a lovely hourglass. I'm still confused by mine. I cant be a owar as my shoulders are square and way broader than my hips. My bust is smallish so I wouldnt say an hourglass either. Maybe I'm just unique 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Slept well and I'm currently having a cuppa before I make sure DC get off to school in time. Then off to work. Might stop and get an almond/coconut milk based hot choc between shifts for lunch. Dinner will be jackets and cottage cheese. Wednesday is Midweek Prosecco too 😁.

Should hit 1200 by end of day.

How is everyone?

Enjoy your Wednesday 😊

Seer · 16/10/2019 10:57

Thank you @DottieLottie1 I guess we rarely appreciate what we've got!

Busy day at a school event today, lots of walking!

B: fast
L: sandwich (packed lunch)
D: veg and tofu stirfry, rice and spring rolls

Have a lovely day all!

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 17/10/2019 07:58

Morning.

Finished yesterday on 1129 calories. Today I'm having a Vanilla and almond milkshake for breakfast. Lunch will be a coconut milk based hot choc which tastes like a hot choc with coconut syrup! Then dinner will be a cheese omelette with mountains of salad. So around 859 cals.

Weigh day tomorrow. I've at peace with the probability that I wont hit target by Halloween, but I'm aware I've done well. I'd like to lose my final 6 lbs at the soonest so I can change my diet to one of maintenance (though I expect that to be a challenge in itself!). Its 10 weeks to Christmas so I should be there by then, my holiday is early spring so I better be beach ready by then!

Working today. Anyone got more interesting plans than me?
Have a good Thursday.

Seer · 17/10/2019 08:50

Morning @DottieLottie1 @TantricTwist and all ☺️

Dottie, have you seen trinny and Susannah's body shapes? I think the calculator is a bit crap but the list of shapes is good: www.bodyshapecalculator.co.uk/trinny-and-susannahs-12-body-shapes

I think I might be a vase from that list.

Like you, I'm realising these last 7lb pounds might take longer than I'd hoped but even if I only lose .5lb per week, if I keep at it, it'll go eventually.

Woke up with a headache today so decided to have breakfast to see if it would help.

Work today, then picking up dd to take her for tea (me) and cake (her!)

B: pancakes with aubergine chutney Indian style (my fave!)
L: Asian dumplings, veg and miso
D: lentil bolognese with wholewheat pasta and broccoli

Will aim for 1200 cals as 1k will be challenging now I've had breakfast.

Have a lovely day all!

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 17/10/2019 09:36

I have looked at that in the past @Seer but get mixed results!

Looking at the silhouette examples I too am closer to the vase. However I dont have a large bust but I'm wide round the back and shoulders so gives the same effect.

Oh, I dont know!

Seer · 18/10/2019 09:09

Morning all! ☺️

Well, weirdly I've lost at least half an inch off my hips (now 38.5") but nothing on the scales or my waist. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm guessing it's off my tummy (which did and still has a bit of fat to lose) rather than my hips themselves so I'm trying to feel grateful about it instead of annoyed that I'm losing it in the wrong place!

I'm glad to have a flattish tummy but I really want a smaller waist!

We've got a rare child-free night tonight so might go for a meal/cinema combo!

B: fast
L: dumplings, miso and veg
D: not sure yet but probably Indian/Chinese/Thai

Aiming for 1400 cals max.

Have a lovely day all!

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 18/10/2019 09:14

Morning 🙂

Good start to the day, I've lost 2lbs this week. I'm now down to 10st 4, that's exactly 3 stone loss in 22 weeks. Measured my waist too which was a looseish 27.5 (27" was rather snug!). My tummy is still wobbly though and I can grab alot, toning exercises needed. I'm on the final push with 4lbs to go, I'm expecting a plateau before my next drop. It's strange how positive you feel when you lose after a plateau but stress when in that plateau 🤷🏼‍♀️

Off to work shortly. I'm having a double fast today, only because I've run out of ingredients for my shake! Working through lunch and dinner will be chicken and chorizo tray bake with rice. Of and Prosecco friday.

Will hit my 1200 calories today.

How is everyone?

Enjoy your Friday 😊

DottieLottie1 · 18/10/2019 09:30

Cross post @Seer, south da like you'll have a whoosh soon. Shall we trade mark our saying? 😂

Seer · 18/10/2019 09:59

2lbs is an amazing loss and deffo a whoosh TM @DottieLottie1 ! Congrats!

DottieLottie1 · 18/10/2019 14:49

I've just braved trying on my old Jean's. Results as follows-

Gap UK size 6/ US 2 fit comfortably again! In truth this pair were always an odd sizing as I had bought another size 8 from gap at the same time that were smaller 🤔😂 The sizing is off, like way off! I'd say they are actually a uk 10 but I like the label 😉 I would be an emaciated wreck if I really was a size 6! Unfortunately this pair have developed a hole between the legs 😔

Next size 8, Got on and done up, look good but are digging into my hip bones, though not noticeable are uncomfortable. Ditto size 8 from New look.

Next size 8 denim shorts, fit perfectly.

I conclude I'm currently a small size 10 and need to get some new Jean's. 4 lbs to go and I will. I think I only went from size 12 to 10 very recently, maybe .5 stone did it.

Feeling positive, almost there.

Hope everything is going well for you all.

MrsGrindah · 18/10/2019 17:46

Hi all.. sorry I’ve been silent. If I’m honest I’m feeling really down. Down to 11st 1:5 now so won’t make my goal of under 11st by next Friday ( big birthday). I know I should be grateful that I’ve lost 8lbs ( and somebody noticed yesterday) but it’s getting me down how bloody slow it is. I’m in peri menopause so that’s doesn’t help but it feels so relentless. Feeling sorry for myself I suppose. But you are all doing so well .. Dottie You are disappearing!

DottieLottie1 · 18/10/2019 19:33

@MrsGrindah, but that's only less than 2lb off target, it's still bloody brilliant! Baby steps I'm afraid, if only we had a magic wand. Is it your big birthday? What are your plans?
