Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

Welcome back @MrsGrindah ! I was wondering about you and thinking I must tag you and @TantricTwist and check in with you.

Keep on keeping on... these plateaus and fluctuations are to be expected but if we keep focused on our plan then the weight does drop off.

I had two weeks of plateau/fluctuating up and down 3lb and then suddenly lost a further 2lb in the space of a few days.

Who knows how it all works 🤷🏻‍♀️ The main thing is to keep focused regardless!

DottieLottie1 · 08/10/2019 22:33

Yes, I echo what @Seer says, I have plateaued a couple of times, once for 3 weeks. I even out on weight one week despite religiously stocking to plan. After a plateau or small gain I then lose a few pounds Its as if your body pauses then resets. Don't get me wrong though it still bothers me when this happens but I should have learnt by now not to get down, alas I don't heed my own advice 🙄😂

As @Seer also mentioned, @TantricTwist you've been very quite of late. You haven't got locked in the gym changing room gave you? On a serious note, I hope your ok!

DottieLottie1 · 09/10/2019 08:01

Morning all 🙂

Working today. Currently laying in bed but slowly getting ready at the same time 🙄, cuppa at hand. Will try and get a walk in between shifts and I might stop at a coffee shop. Back home 8pmish. DH putting dinner on for us all.

B- cuppa x 2
L- costa/Starbucks/cafe Nero (depends which one is the quietest!)
D- Jacket Potato with pineapple cottage cheese and copious amounts of salad.
As its Wednesday = mid week prosecco

Will hit 1200 today. Yesterday I finished on a low 870.

Have a lovely Wednesday everyone.

Seer · 09/10/2019 09:12

Morning all ☺️

My weight's holding steady again but I'm managing not to get rattled thus far. Keeping focused on visualising my goal weight on the scales.

It's been interesting hanging around a couple of pounds below my original goal weight, I'm realising that although I feel soooo much better than before, I still don't feel amazing. And I really want to feel amazing again! It's proving good motivation to continue for this last few difficult miles of marathon!

Plans today... work and then both DCs are out after school so I'll have a rare hour to myself which I've just decided I will use to do some writing (I have several projects on the go all of which need TLC)!

B: I randomly felt really hungry so had violife 'cheese' on toast
L: mushroom ravioli and chard
D: roast vegetable pasta

Will likely be a 1200 day due to breakfast.

What are your plans? ☺️

OP posts:
Seer · 09/10/2019 09:13

Enjoy your prosecco @DottieLottie1 !

MrsGrindah · 09/10/2019 19:00

V little eaten today..just had no appetite which is unheard of for me!
Omlette for breakfast, no lunch and just had two cheese and crackers with a glass of wine. Not healthy I know so back on the greens tomorrow.

I tried on some more trousers today that I could hardly get into..a decent fit now. But I don’t understand the shape change vs the relatively little weight loss. I know it’s not muscle! Hula hooping is definitely helping chisel my waist though, but I still have a big rubber ring around my midriff and arse!

DottieLottie1 · 09/10/2019 20:21

@MrsGrindah if the clothes are fitting better it's working. You will probably get a whoosh of weight loss soonish if your keeping calories lowish.

Loveoddthings · 09/10/2019 20:41

Love reading all the successes!

Re fasting... how do you feel when you miss breakfast and / or lunch? Peculiar? Lightheaded? Ratty with the children? Or just a bit peckish?

DottieLottie1 · 09/10/2019 21:58

Hello @Loveoddthings! No, you get very used to fasting a meal quite quickly. I normally only skip lunch, @Seer more usually skips breakfast, its just a preference to what suits your lifestyle. I only feel hungry about an hour or so before my evening meal, no lightheadedness or any such. Are you thimking of losing weight?

DottieLottie1 · 10/10/2019 09:28

Morning!

Slept well last night, which is a nice change. Currently having a cuppa and then in going to mix up a shake for brekky (homemade not a slim fast type meal replacement thingy). Off to work mid morning. Will go for a walk between shifts so will probably cover 2 miles then, might pop into a coffee shop for a Coconut based hot choc. Home late evening with plans to have roast chicken in pitta with salad for dinner.

Weigh in tomorrow.

Anyones plans more interesting than mine? 😂

Have a lovely Thursday 😊

Seer · 10/10/2019 09:41

Glad you slept well @DottieLottie1 !

@Loveoddthings like Dottie said, I rarely feel hungry when fasting, I probably fancy breakfast in the week about once a month (and then I do eat it). The rest of the time I don't even consider eating, I'm satisfied with black coffee, herbal tea and water. At weekends I have breakfast and really fancy it! The mind/body is a funny thing!

I'm up to some really interesting things work-wise Dottie but alas it would be too outing to share!

Aside from work I'm talking DD for tea and cake later as DS is at football.

B: fast
L: dumpling, broccoli and miso
D: puff pastry pizza, baked potatoes and veg

How are you @MrsGrindah @MyGhastIsFlabbered @TantricTwist and all?

Have a lovely day all!

DottieLottie1 · 11/10/2019 07:08

Hmmm, I've put on 1lb. I 'felt' like I'd lost this week. I'm going to try and not feel too glum as it's happened before. Still strange as this weeks daily average calorie intake was 1190 🤷🏼‍♀️. Puts me back at 7lbs still to lose, I doubt I'll hit target by Halloween. The target date doesn't bother me too much as long as I get to my happy weight (10 st). Cross fingers and my body is just resetting to go again.... Oh, who am I kidding, I've no real idea of why this happens but its definitely strange!

Working today. Will start with couple of cups of tea, fasting lunchtime and dinner will be a chilli. Should be no more than 1200 with a few flutes of Prosecco.

Have a good Friday everyone.

DottieLottie1 · 11/10/2019 07:59

Well for some reason I decided to weigh again just now and my scales read 10.06 5 times as opposed to 10.07 5 times an hour ago! I assume then I have not gained but remained the same, one of these fluctuations @Seer???

Seer · 11/10/2019 08:56

It very much sounds that way @DottieLottie1 ! And even now might still be fluctuating higher than you actually are, if that makes sense?

I've been hovering 1lb+ above my last lowest weight (158lb) for exactly a week, I'm back down to 158lb again this morning, which is good but unless I lose some over the weekend (unlikely!) it means I've lost nothing this week. It's all madness! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Keep on keeping on... it'll happen for us.

Usual day of work etc today.

B: fast
L: dumplings, miso, chard
D: takeaway, probably Indian, couple of glass of wine

Suspect it'll be around 1400 cals.

Onto the kettlebells now...

Have a lovely day all! ☺️

catsandkid · 11/10/2019 10:29

I think I need to join you ladies, if it's not too late? I've kind of gone off the rails a bit in the last year - annoyingly I lost a lot of weight last year and by Xmas I was only 4lb off my honeymoon weight. I then lost my healthy weight mojo and still haven't found it. I now need to lose at least a stone just as a starting point!

I've done slimming world before but unsure if it'll work again. What's everybody else doing to shift the pounds!?!

DottieLottie1 · 11/10/2019 17:33

Welcome @catsandkid 😊 I'm on a low calorie diet, 1200 cals max mon- fri and then I let my hair dien a bit at the weekends. I therefore eat what I want but portion control and I'm able to eat out and/or have a weekly takeaway. I've lost 40 lb and I'm on week 21, 6lb to go.

Most on this thread do similar but maybe 5:2 or 16:8 but essentially calorie controlled. I'm sure they will be along with their own story soon.

This and previous threads have been great for accountability, motivation and moral support. We've also had a bit of a laugh along the way and quite often deviate from the brief 😳😂

We are here if you need us.

Seer · 11/10/2019 18:23

Hi @catsandkid and welcome! Never too late ☺️ And if you've done it before you can do it again!

I'm similar to @DottieLottie1 in that I tend to stick to 1000-1200 cals Mon-Thurs and maybe 1500 Fri-Sun. I also do the 16:8 Mon-Fri - basically I miss breakfast and I try to have a light lunch.

I don't lose weight as fast as Dottie tho! I'm 22lb down since May (I had a week's break from dieting during a holiday) but it's been fairly easy going and I'm happy with that.

I've got 7lb left to go which is proving slower to lose but it'll happen.

I've had a glass of wine and about to order the curry 😋

Oh btw Dottie, I'm over in your town on Sunday for a children's activity!

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 11/10/2019 19:32

I'm guessing your back at LZ? Or the outdoor pursuits place, or go karting! Then I'll go bowling or quaser 😂

DottieLottie1 · 12/10/2019 08:27

Morning all.

I had a full unbroken 9 and a half hours sleep, I needed it! DR was discharged from hospital yesterday (yay, but still a long road ahead) so I think my stress levels have decreased.

Working mid morning, through lunch and home late afternoon. Will start the day with a brew and will miss lunch (it's not possible to eat or even be tempted so no option other than fasting which makes dieting life easier). Takeaway tonight will probably be a KFC. No plans for this evening so will snuggle down and watch a movie with a few glasses prosecco. So around 1600 calories.

Anything interesting planned for today?

Enjoy your Saturday everyone 😊

DottieLottie1 · 13/10/2019 10:16

Morning all.

I've just comfortably slipped an old pair of jeans on, size 12 but they are a bit big. I do think I stretched them though as my waistline grew 😬😳😂 so I'd still say I'm a modern day size 12.

DS sports fixture has just been called off due to playing conditions so that's my plans changed for the day. I'm going to start with a cuppa and then have one of my Vanilla and almond milkshakes. Fast at lunch and dinner will be roast chicken wraps with salad. Should come in just shy of 1000 calories.

How are we doing everyone? Where have you been @TantricTwist?

Have a lovely Sunday!

TantricTwist · 13/10/2019 11:35

Hello my lovelies I'll have a catch up read of the thread and come back on in a while. I have missed you all and you're not forgotten.

I've been busy in a new role at work which I'm loving. I've been absent from all social media the last week. I've been really good calorie in take wise although haven't been recording it on MFP. However I had to order some uniform and was a bit meh at my size so I think I became a bit morose about it all.

But I'll be back on track and fully focussed. I did manage the gym after work last week and last weekend. Except at the weekend it's full of families who let their kids sit by the studio windows making it very uncomfortable to do a class with them all staring in although they're way more interested in their iPhones than us.

TantricTwist · 13/10/2019 11:58

I've read the thread and thanks for your unwavering support @Seer and @DottieLottie1*

I'm so pleased your DR is out of hospital Dottie.

I've just measured my waist and it's still the same which is fine, so long as it hasn't increased I'm happy.

So glad you're both able wear your old clothes comfortably. That'll be me soon, the sooner the better jeans wise as my current ones are starting to wear out a bit now and I refuse to buy new ones when I have so many decent ones already

DottieLottie1 · 13/10/2019 12:07

Yay @TantricTwist your back! I've also had to order new uniform as my shorts fall down (like all the way😳). Problem for me is we do t have any test pieces a d if memory serves me well they come up super small. X fingers they fit, I've gone for a size 12. Maybe it's true sizing rather than vanity.... Glad your enjoying your new role 😘

TantricTwist · 13/10/2019 12:39

Yes uniforms are awkward for everyone. Too small, too tight on the bust, too baggy on the bust. Mine did fit albeit too tightly so I ordered 2 sizes up but it still looks meh. That said my jeans are looser. I might even try on the fairly new ones that became too tight a good few months ago.

Ok so just tried on my 34 inch waist jeans which did go on and even zip up lol. But obvs there is stretch and no way could I actually wear them but I'm happy I can get them on at this point.

B - fast
L - onion, tomato, feta and bacon on puff pastry. The rest I'll take into work tomorrow if DD and I don't finish it off later.

D - not sure yet maybe roast pork but not sure when DC are back from various activities so may do it tomorrow evening

TantricTwist · 13/10/2019 12:40

@DottieLottie1 hopefully I'll have to reorder my uniform soon Wink
