Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

Morning All! A quarter of a pound off this morning. This is agonisingly slow but I don’t care as long as it’s going in the right direction!
Yesterday was
B ..tiny portion of leftover sausage an mash
L fast
D Onion bhajis and salad and wine!
No time to exercise yesterday but will do today.

So I have a big birthday in 3 weeks time...won’t be at goal weight but determined to be under 11 stone by then. Tried some jeans on today that were getting tight...a lovely fit ( 12). Vanity sizing though...it’s a bugger isn’t it?

DottieLottie1 · 03/10/2019 08:18

Morning!

@MrsGrindah well done its paying off! It's such a shame weight doesn't shift as fast as it goes on though.

Having a cuppa and making sure kids are off to school in time. Working a double shift fro. Mid morning through to this evening. Will go for a walk between shifts.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fruit and a protein shake
D- Cheese Omelette and mountains of salad
S- Blueberries and sugar free sweets

Should be 950 cals. My average daily calorie intake over the last week has been 1234 according to MFP. Weigh in tomorrow.

@TantricTwist I think you have guessed why DR is in hospital. Hopefully they have the latest infection controlled (Immuno compromised) and home today.

What are your plans everyone?

Have a good day 😊

TantricTwist · 03/10/2019 10:02

I did a fair bit of snacking last night such as an apple, sweets and a pistachio pudding pot Hmm I did back off from the sweet chilli crisps that were whispering my name from the cupboard. I need a routine of chamomile tea or something as my last intake.

B - croissant
L - chicken salad or omelette
D -

Seer · 03/10/2019 13:47

I'm a camomile tea fan @TantricTwist, I always have one last thing before bed. I'm also a fan of those sweet chilli crisps 😀

@MrsGrindah our motto is: any loss is a loss! Slow and steady wins the race.

I've lost another couple of ounces too which makes it almost a pound since Sunday. Yay! Should see 158lb on the scales soon! 🙏

So weird the way weight loss stalls and then starts up again, with no real change in calories!

I wore a top tucked into skinny jeans yesterday which I think is a first this year! And I felt good in it too. Back in May the level of muffin top would have made it impossible!

Dare I ask what your waist is now @DottieLottie1 ? I will try not to be consumed with envy! 😀

Been working this morning and then this afternoon... work, dog walk, school pick-up, viewing a secondary school, then back home to make dinner.

B: fast
L: v BLT (had some veggie bacon that needed using up)
D: the tacos at long last!

It'll be around 1100 cals I suspect.

Have a lovely day, my fellow secret dieters! ☺️

DottieLottie1 · 03/10/2019 15:27

@Seer I'm weighing in tomorrow so I'll measure them too...

DottieLottie1 · 03/10/2019 15:28

then not them 🙄

MrsGrindah · 03/10/2019 18:45

My waist is under 30 inches now! Gobsmacked!

Seer · 04/10/2019 08:04

That's amazing @MrsGrindah Bet you're looking all slinky now!

I've bizarrely lost another pound! Bizarrely because it's so much in such a short space of time and also it only appeared on the scales once and was so much lower than the other weights (I usually weigh about 4 times in 4 different places and take the lowest one). But hey... I'll take it!

I've been visualising my brain telling my body to burn fat from my tummy and waist - maybe it's working? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm now on 158.2lb, only 7lb to go but I'm not seeing the desired change in my waistline yet.

Nothing particularly exciting on today, usual school run, work, dog walk, play date etc.

B: fast
L: miso and Asian dumplings
D: Chinese takeaway and wine

Aiming to keep below 1300 cals

What are you all up to? ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 04/10/2019 09:06

Well done @MrsGrindah and @Seer!

And... I'm down 3lb this week! Might be a sprinkling of stress though 😔

I'm now 10st 06lb, so that's 2st 12lb lost in 21 weeks. 6lbs to go so I feel I'm on the final push now. Waist is 28" and I'm slam bang in the middle of my healthy BMI range.

I'm well aware that my weight may plateau and fluctuate before I get to target but I'm going to try not to worry!

Working mid morning through to late afternoon.

B- cuppa x 2
L- fast
D- Morrocan Chicken tagine with couscous

Fri = Prosecco

Will be 1200 cals.

Have a good day all 😊

Seer · 04/10/2019 17:19

Goodness me, that is tonnes @DottieLottie1 😮 congratulations! tho do make sure you're looking after yourself too ♥️

I tried on 'the jeans' this morning and they fit to the extent that they could be worn!!!

They create a bit of waist overhang which means I couldn't wear them with a tight top but I'm blown away that they actually fit! It doesn't seem any time ago that they were several inches away from being able to be buttoned!

By the time I hit my goal they should fit and not create a bulge!

The irony is I'm not sure I actually like them that much any more! Looking forward to the 501s!

MrsGrindah · 04/10/2019 19:01

You must all be getting loads of compliments! Nobody has noticed my half a stone yet but I wouldn’t expect it. Last time I lost weight it took 1 and a half stone before anyone noticed!

Not been good today..calories ok but random food rather than proper planned meals. Work is still horrible though so I’m amazed I’m staying on plan at all. Tomorrow is another day though and I’m not out this weekend so won’t be tempted.

Have a good weekend all!

DottieLottie1 · 04/10/2019 19:38

@MrsGrindah it was 2.5 stone before anyone noticed for me! DH still hasn't commented but did tell me I looked nice in a dress and that I hadnt worn it in a long time. The reason I hadn't worn this dress was because in actual fact it was previously worn as a top and looked hideous when I last tried it on. It was said dress/top that kick started my diet!!!!

Seer · 05/10/2019 07:26

Off for my day of eating way too much at the place that used to begin with 'health...' 😀

I won't even attempt to track calories but I won't go quite as wild as I normally would have.

Expect it'll be at least 2000 cals! 😬

Have a lovely day, all!

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 05/10/2019 08:21

Morning everyone 🙂

Let your hair down @Seer it is the weekend after all!

I'm going to have a cuppa and watch the first half of the Rugby, come on England! Then I'm off to work, will catch the second half on the car radio. Working late morning through to late afternoon. I need to order some new uniform work shorts as mine now don't stay up, I have to hoist them up every other second 😳 Tonight we're going out for a pub dinner instead of takeaway, got a £30 off food voucher too 😉

B- cuppa x 2
L- fast
D- maybe steak and chips or flatbread pizza and chips. Wine....

Will be I the region of 1500 cals. I will look up pubs nutritional I fo at some point but I'm not going to obsess.

What are your plans everyone?

Enjoy your Saturday 😊

MrsGrindah · 05/10/2019 17:50

Bought my birthday dress today...size 12! It’s lovely and makes my waist look so small! It’s a teeny bit snug on the hips but I’ve 3 weeks yet so might be okay by then. Absolutely delighted as I didn’t weigh today cos felt heavy.

Breakfast Yoghurt
Just had a cheese salad and a few crackers for dinner because I’m enjoying my calories through wine!

MrsGrindah · 05/10/2019 17:52

Think I’m going to ask Santa for some 501s for Christmas

DottieLottie1 · 05/10/2019 20:31

Hey @MrsGrindah that's great and brilliant for your motivation.

I've been out for dinner and worn some pleather/coated leggings that I haven't dared wear in a couple of years. They are size 10s and are a perfect fit but I'm aware its vanity sizing, they are miss selfridge. I'd say I'm a modern 12.. They pull my tummy in so it appears flat- definitely flattering. I don't think they looked as good from the rear though 😱😂😂😂

DottieLottie1 · 06/10/2019 08:01

Morning all.

Woke early again, DR still in hospital as they are still trying to get to the root of latest infection😔.

I'm going to have a cup of tea in a bit then wake the DC up. Weather is atrocious at the moment so I'm not looking forward to watching DS playing his sport today! Quite a trek as fixture is 1.5 hours away. Once back from that I'm going to have a lazy evening.

B- cuppa x 2
L- Vanilla and almond milkshake, fruit
D- roast Chicken wraps and salad

Will be just shy of 1000 calories.

Have a good day everyone.

Seer · 07/10/2019 08:01

Morning all ☺️

That must be so worrying @DottieLottie1 I hope things improve soon.

I had a day off in all ways yesterday, just bumping back down to reality again.

Off to view a secondary school again this morning then usual work, dog walk etc

B: fast (I need to! I've eaten tonnes this w/e!)
L: mushroom ravioli with broccoli
D: v sausage & lentil casserole w/ roast potatoes

Will keep portions small and aim for 1k cals

What are your plans all?

DottieLottie1 · 07/10/2019 08:03

Morning everyone.

Up early but for work reasons today. Have a course in well known city In Hampshire. Currently waiting to go in to the conference room. This means I will be fasting breakfast and lunch. Should be home late afternoon so will have to take the dog out come rain (most likely) or shine. When DH home from work we need to do our weekly food shop, bring it on lidl! Dinner will be pesto pasta (I think), will be low calorie day today. I'm hoping to make my target by Halloween, so that's 6lb in 4 weeks (I weighed in Friday). Could be doable but should definitely be there by Christmas and that's 7 weeks before my holiday.

Hiw was you weekend and what are your plans everyone ?

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 07/10/2019 19:34

So I've had another crappy week of stuff and the first thing to go when things get tough is my willpower...I comfort eat constantly. So I'm back at 80.4 kg and feeling like a huge fat blob, plus I'm annoyed at myself for being rubbish. Tea and sympathy much appreciated.

DottieLottie1 · 08/10/2019 08:17

Morning.

@MyGhastIsFlabbered I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad week. It is difficult but when your in the right mindset the willpower comes. It took me a while to get there as I'd buried my head in the sand but I'm on a mission now despite the added stresses along the way. You can do it!

I think DH has noticed now, what took him so long? Nearly 3 bloody stone did!😂 However he has made no direct comment but keeps telling me I look nice in what I'm wearing. I then mention that it's an old item of clothing I haven't worn in a while and he doesn't believe me. Maybe he thinks I've suddenly developed a shopping addiction 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

I slept better last night and I'm going to have a little lay in once kids off to school. Need to take the dog out, go to the shops and put a wash load on and out. Will visit DR this afternoon. Tonight DS is training so I will act as chauffeur.

B- cuppa x 2, Vanilla and almond milkshake

L- fast

D- omelette with goats cheese, chorizo and jalapeno, mountains of salad.

S- Blueberries and sugar free sweets

That's 750 calories so I might add to it as I thi I that's a little too hardcore.

Have a good day everyone.

Seer · 08/10/2019 09:53

Morning all ☺️

I'm sorry you're struggling @MyGhastIsFlabbered can you find some places you can make some small wins for now, maybe just choosing to eat 5% more healthily, or slightly smaller portions? Sometimes just knowing we're still on the path, despite the challenges and lapses, really helps us to stop spiralling down.

That's so funny @DottieLottie1! 3 stone is tonnes! Well done to him for finally noticing! 😀 That said, my dh hasn't said anything even tho I'm 22lbs smaller!

I hope your visit to your relative goes well. I'm sure they'll be glad to see you.

Nothing special planned today, usual work, dog walk etc. The children are eating elsewhere and DH is away tonight so I'm having a v rare ready meal (it's one I love from Waitrose!)

B: fast
L: leftover lentil and sausage casserole (it's fairly low cal)
D: Thai curry & rice ready meal plus broccoli and chard

Will aim for around 1k cals. Keeping focused on losing the last 7lb to go!

Have a lovely day all!

Here you are! This thread dropped off“ threads I’m on”...I was worried you’d all gone off for a night out without me Grin

Really disappointed to find I’d put a pound on this morning. Keep losing and gaining the same pound over the last fortnight but trying not to let it get to me...but the weeks are flying by till my goal. I need to be less than 11st by. 26th and I can’t seem to make it happen. I swear I’m not kidding myself re calories. Maybe cos I’m approaching a big birthday it’s a sign it gets harder as you get older..

You are all doing so well though so I still get cheered up by this thread!
