Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

Yes @DottieLottie1 DD stayed home today and requested baguette and camembert (despite being off School with a 'tummy ache' Hmm ) so I thought it would be rude not to Grin Blush I'm glad you enjoyed your lovely Spa day and I'm sorry to hear about your DR. Hopefully it will be easier to cope with after having a relaxing day to recharge your batteries which I think you needed by the sounds of it. Yes they must think you're a right Lush Grin Wine Gin Grin tee hee hee

DottieLottie1 · 01/10/2019 06:37

Bad nights sleep as my mind is racing. DR still in hospital, hopefully discharged at some point today. Don't think I will visit as they will need to catch up on sleep. 😔

Unless my plans change due to the above I'm going to have a lazyish day. Probably stay in bed until mid morning to see if I can catch up on sleep. I need a new winter coat and have seen a few I like but will need to try on for size as I don't really know my new sizing yet (also need to leave space for a jumper to fit in comfortable so not too snug). This evening I'm taking DS to and from training so might sit and watch with DD. DH is at the football tonight so not sure what's for dinner.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L-Fruit probably Blueberries
D- TBD ....My meal planning has gone tits up as my mind is elsewhere.

Hope all is well and you have a good day.

MrsGrindah · 01/10/2019 07:08

Hello all Dottie You sound very caring but don’t forget to look after yourself too.

Tantric I now have to bacon for breakfast after reading your update! However I can easily factor it in to days calories. I like eating a nice breakfast dinner I don’t feel too deprived..not sir I can stretch to Camembert though!

Seer You are right...1lb off today! So I’ve officially lost half a stone. Really chuffed. It’s taken longer than I would like but I’d rather it happen slowly and stay off . Just 11lb to go now till I’m not overweight .

MrsGrindah · 01/10/2019 07:09

That should say I like eating a nice breakfast then I don’t feel too deprived...don’t know where the extra dinner came from!

DottieLottie1 · 01/10/2019 07:17

Well done @MrsGrindah!

Seer · 01/10/2019 07:50

Sending you lots of love @DottieLottie1 hope you manage to get some rest.

That's brilliant work @MrsGrindah well blooming done!

Thank you @TantricTwist, honestly I wouldn't be keeping on keeping on if it wasn't for you all. So good that your clothes are feeling better - it matters so much!

And.... I've finally dropped a pound! AND it takes me just into the 150s! 8lb to go!

No more off my waist yet but I do feel more toned and my tummy is deffo flatter (it's now about an inch in profile from being totally flat). I can now see my pubes to my heart's content 😀

As long as the fat comes off my waist or tummy I'm happy, my hips and boobs not so much!

Plans today... my weekly 'full' day at work, doing something a little scary later (imagine public speech kind of thing) but can't say what as it'll be outing!

Not sure on food plans yet, probably something like:

B: fast
L: mushroom ravioli and salad
D: the tacos I was going to have yesterday

Will aim for 1k cal.

Have a lovely day all! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 01/10/2019 08:56

Yay, @Seer! That tummy will flatten, mine needs to as Ive still got a tiny paunch but this is not helped by my C section scar, though that is not an excuse as it has been flat since! Good luck with your speech, presentation or whatever it is 😉

Thanks for the kind wishes regarding me and DR, though times ahead but gotta hold ot together.

TantricTwist · 01/10/2019 18:50

I woke up took DC to School came home turned kettle on and promptly fell asleep for 4 hours Hmm not even managing to make the Brew

All I've eaten so far is a cinammon bun I made from those jusroll packs. Very nice it was too, made them for the DC and couldn't resist trying one.

Suffice it to say I didn't go to the gym, which is a shame as I really wanted to do the classes today. At least I went yesterday when I was in the mood for it. Hopefully I'll go again tomorrow as I like the classes on then too.

D - chicken salad.

DottieLottie1 · 01/10/2019 19:07

@TantricTwist I've ended up havi g a lovely chicken salad too! DS threw a pizza I the oven and DD is having good old beans on toast. A rather cobbled together set of meals as I ended up at the hospital (central london) keeping my DR company, home 20 mins ago. Nasty journey back weatherwise part tube, part drive.

MrsGrindah · 01/10/2019 19:10

Another crazy work day... so banana porridge for breakfast then nothing till dinner ..DH helpfully made sausage and mash . I didn’t want. It but didn’t want to hurt his feelings so feel like what should have been a good day has been spoilt

TantricTwist · 01/10/2019 22:16

@DottieLottie1 your DR must have been so happy to see you, not always easy to get to hospital to see people so she'll appreciate the visit.

TantricTwist · 01/10/2019 22:20

I had an exciting evening dying my roots Hmm- they were in dire need - had to wait for DD's friend to leave first - DD helped me do the back - she also trims the back of my hair when needed. It's poker straight so a doddle to do.

Seer · 01/10/2019 22:30

Oh bless you @DottieLottie1 that doesn't sound like an easy day for you.

If it makes you feel any better @MrsGrindah Dh brought home takeaway pizzas tonight so my day hasn't been quite to plan either 😬

I'm imagining the luscious Timotei ad now @TantricTwist !

I'm not sure but I think I closed on around 1300 cals so could be worse. I'm also thinking the stomach vacuums are starting to pay off, I can definitely see more tone there now. They're so easy to do (eg when brushing teeth or in the shower) that I'll keep them up.

Just realised that if I lose 1lb week (less than I was but I'm expecting it to slow down) then I'll be at my goal for the 1st Dec! Will be an interesting time to switch to maintaining! 😬

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 02/10/2019 00:42

Whoop Whoop 2 inches off my waist which I'm pleased and very surprised about.

Seer · 02/10/2019 07:47

That's amazing @TantricTwist ! Really well done!

I'm super envious too, it's just as well I like you so much as I'm not losing inches at all atm!

Care to share what size you are now and what your goal is? Understand if not.

Will write back later with my plans as I need to get going sorting the DCs out now.

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 02/10/2019 08:08

Morning!

🙌🏼 @TantricTwist that's brilliant, sounds like you may have had that whoosh of a loss we keep going g o about! Well done you and a great motivational tool isn't it 🙂

I'm having a cuppa and simultaneously getting the kids off to school 😉. Then off to work. I have a double shift so hopefully I can fit a walk in between. Will check up on DR but cant physically get into central London today.

B- cuppa/fast.
L- fast
D- Jacket potato with pineapple cottage cheese and tons of salad

Weds= Prosecco night

So I should hot 1100 cals ish.

I'm not sure if I'm tired or my minds playing tricks on me but I looked in the mirror last night and my tummy looked huge. Its definitely not flat and I think I need to tone up as skin is a bit erm loose. Unfortunately it made me feel really low. I need a kick up the rear as this is not going to be something I'm going to obsess over, I don't want an unhealthy attitude to boot!

Have a good day everyone.

Seer · 02/10/2019 08:32

Is it food related bloating or cycle related @DottieLottie1? Mine does that and try to remind myself that it's only temporary and not that my tummy is suddenly big again.

You're doing so well and are looking so slim.

Ok plans today...

Kettlebells in a mo, then work then leaving work early to meet a friend for lunch (nice but tricky for secret dieting! 😬) then school run, dog walk and catching up on work.

B: fast
L: don't know yet but will aim to keep it low cal
D: v meatballs, spaghetti and veg

Will aim for under 1200 cals as 1k will be challenging given lunch out.

Have a lovely day all! ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 02/10/2019 08:44

I'm not sure what it is @Seer I've never suffered from bloating and I have a mirena so no idea! Warning possibly TMI, but I can grab my tummy with both hands and pull it forwards 😳. I only noticed it being as bad last night before I was calling it a paunch but to actually be able to grab it 😳😳😳😳

Think I better start doing your stomach vacuums!

Seer · 02/10/2019 09:01

Are you sure that's not just normal skin @DottieLottie1 ?

People have differing levels of elasticity. My dsis for example has fairly loose skin even when she's skinny, it's just how she is and it doesn't really show unless she pulls it (like you're describing!)

Also, even tho my tummy looks fairly flat I can still grab a handful and wobble it around (esp if I'm lying down!) I'm fairly sure that's fat tho as it's not that easy to grab and feels 'thick' rather than loose.

We women are meant to have a bit of fat coverage anyway so I guess we need to account for that going somewhere!

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 02/10/2019 09:26

@DottieLottie1 the skin on tummy thing is I guess because you've lost weight there. Maybe just do a few crunches everyday to tone it up a bit if you're not happy with it. Regards to visiting your DR. I found that as much as patients do like a visitor they can get quite tired and often don't mind if they don't have visitors as they know you still care about them. If DR has a mobile on them then they are happy to have a chat during the day just not between 1 - 3 as that's nap time. Obvs if it's palliative care then you will want to be there as often as possible but if you can't they will understand.

@Seer I am 36 inches which is a size 14 (more than you started at I think). If I get to a size 12 I'll be over the moon but I think it will take a while. I have quite a large bust so I'll be happy if that also reduces as I love wearing shirts and the buttons always tend to pop open Blush.

DottieLottie1 · 02/10/2019 14:58

Thanks @Seer, I think @TantricTwist is right and my flabby gut needs toning! I was just a bit shocked at how much I could get hold of!

@TantricTwist my DR is living with a palliative condition but is in for precautionary reason relating to their body fighting back to infection. I think you might know what I mean?!

In a better mood, I know I'm being silly. Tummy is only noticeable when I'm not wearing g clothes as my u underwear sucks ot all in 😳😂

Going to take a walk in a bit but stopped off at Cafe Nero and having a regular hot chocolate with Coconut milk- 187 cals according to their nutritional pdf! Then back to work.

@TantricTwist it definitely sounds like your going well and not fat from your goal. 😊

TantricTwist · 02/10/2019 16:43

My goal should be a size 10 really which is quite a way still so keeping it real at 12 for now.

TantricTwist · 02/10/2019 16:46

That's quite scary if they're in for what I think you mean. No wonder you've been so worried. I hope DR has come through ok so far, sounds like they must have @DottieLottie1

Seer · 02/10/2019 19:16

That's only an inch more than where I started @TantricTwist, at this rate it won't be long now before you're in a size 12!

And I don't think you 'should' be aiming for a size 10. I think for some taller or busty women a size 12 can look better. It's only because I want to regain a more hourglass shape (a more defined hip/waist curve) that I'm not maintaining here myself.

That sounds really tough for your DR and you @DottieLottie1 I hope they come through this particular challenge soon. ♥️

I had a vegetable rice dish and two Asian dumplings at lunch, I'm guessing on cals but kept my dinner portion extra small (more chard than pasta!) so I don't think I'll have gone over more than 1k cals for the day.

Feeling motivated again now I'm seeing a loss happen!

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 02/10/2019 19:56

I'll be more than happy with a 12 but a 10 would be nice Smile

B - fast
L - chicken, lettuce wrap and couple of biscuits
D - rice and chicken with teriyaki sauce

Managed a yoga and Pilates class today, very relaxing. I'll miss them when I go back to work next week but will try to go after work and at the weekends. Although I might have to go for the more energetic classes as I'll be going a lot less.
