Don't want to do it alone

ok, so I've out on 1 lb, or so. Is it ok if I do it in kilos, cos yhat's what I use. So I am now a whopping 65.3 and wish to be 55,

Fizog · 28/09/2004 14:15

Thanks Kate, was waiting for you to come on and tell me... I bought some last night as love it to, guessed it would be ok as low carb.

I'm going to have smoked salmon and scambled egg tomorrow for breakfast!

KateandtheGirls · 28/09/2004 14:17

Ernest, how many pounds is that? It doesn't sound so wopping to me. Sorry you had a bad week.

Fizog, sounds yummy! I might have the same. Oily fish like salmon are highly recommended because they have those good fish oils (Omega 3?), and are satisfying to eat.

JuniperDewdrop · 28/09/2004 14:20

mmmmmmm I love smoked salmon but only with salad, granary bread and a wee bit of butter so I'd better stay clear of SB diet

I'm loving my trampette though but I need to watch it as I almost bumped my head on the ceiling

Fizog · 28/09/2004 14:22

How much are trampettes?

Dingle · 28/09/2004 14:30

Fizog, have no time or money to go to the gym on a regular basis! Is there a video that anyone would recommend.
At least I'm doing something right,we all love salmon. Dh isn't keen on any other fish unless it comes from the chippy and is covered in batter!!

JuniperDewdrop · 28/09/2004 14:35

the one i got was 49 quid including p&p but argos had one that seems permanently out of stock for 17.99. I'm sure you can get cheaper than mine but I was desperate.

Dingle, I have a good dance fitness video somewhere with the redhead from Eastenders on it?? you're welcome to it if you want it, it's really good. I just have no willpower so give up doing them

JuniperDewdrop · 28/09/2004 14:36

she used to be in it, Bianca

Fizog · 28/09/2004 14:52

Dingle - I used to do a Hi/Lo Aerobics class in a village hall when I had a year off from any gym and I'd say they are just as good (if not better because not full of exercise mad folk). It was only £2.50 a session and I really started to notice the difference after about 6 weeks.

If you want a good workout video though I would try a Pilates video

KateandtheGirls · 28/09/2004 14:59

I'm lucky because my neighbor teaches pilates in her home once a week (she's just getting certified and uses us as practice). She's really good and it's a great workout. I highly recommend it, especially if you're not into aerobics and step (although I enjoy those too).

Couls someone explain to me what a trampette is? I'm assuming a kind of mini trampoline. Can you do a link to one?

PattyToo · 28/09/2004 15:04

Sounds like this is the place for me! DD 6.5 months old and I now weigh a stone more than when she was 6 weeks - how did that happen? Started my low fat diet yesterday and already craving crisps, chocolate and alcohol - help.....

sweetheart · 28/09/2004 15:06

Just dropped in to see how you are all doing. Where is Forestfly - she started all this and seems to have dissapeared - I hope she hasn't given up!!!

Shiraz · 28/09/2004 15:43

Hey ladies, well i've lost 1lb since last week, i was 13lbs 7 and i am now 13lbs 6, and that is with having a pizza and garlic bread with cheese at the weekend, a few glasses of Cider at the pub on Friday, a bottle of Wine Friday night and Sunday night!

However my 'true' diet started yesterday...as i have purchased a bargain exercise bike..ex gym thing! I did 15 mins last night and boy is my bum hurting! I was knackered after 10, but made myself keep going as i used to be a dab hand at using them! So it's 15 mins a night all this week, still following the SW eating plan..i'm on red day today!

Hoping my weight is down more next week..and no...no pizza this weekend..but i may have the odd glass of wine!

Good luck to you all,

Becs xx

Forestfly · 28/09/2004 16:25

Not given up, just been busy.
Well i have not weighed myself as i feel great and don't want to be put on a downer. Been to the gym every day, feel less bloated already. A long way to go yet so i hope everyones sticking to it. We can't give up after a week!!!!!!!!!!

libb · 28/09/2004 17:18

I would've weighed myself today but I know for a fact that the stupid electric americanised voice on my scales would announce my weight to the two workmen rewiring the house just as they came into the room

Will try to do it tomorrow morning . . .

bran · 28/09/2004 17:19

FF going to the gym every day only counts if you actually work out - flirting with gorgeous gym bods doesn't burn calories

Forestfly · 28/09/2004 17:20

It does count, it take a lot of strength to flutter my lashes

notadrop · 28/09/2004 17:54

color - I think I'll join you on the nohopers diet club. Posted earlier - lost 5lbs this week - but could well have put it all back on just today. Feel lousy. Gorging on a big bowl of lemon chicken & rice as I type.

Chinchilla · 28/09/2004 19:21

Fizog - mine was £50 from Boots.com. It was delivered really quickly. Bloomin' brilliant things (until you sprain your ankle on them, but that's another story )

ebbie22 · 28/09/2004 22:34

Have lost 4 pounds...But will see how i do this week...How sre you all getting on?

JuniperDewdrop · 29/09/2004 09:16

Hi Pattytoo and welcome Hope you find lots of support here

Fizog · 29/09/2004 14:40

Thanks Chinchilla, I might invest in one!

Kate - am I right in thinking that you can have fat-free/low fat yogurts on the SB diet?

Also what is Half-and-Half, I've been looking on the recipe site and a lot of the refer to 'half-and-half' is it an American Product/Term?

twogorgeousboys · 30/09/2004 13:47

Well done ebbie2

KateandtheGirls · 30/09/2004 14:06

Fizog, no yogurts the first two weeks. But in Phase 2, you're right, you can have low fat or fat free yogurts.

Half and half is an american product, but basically it's half milk and half cream. (Hence the name.)

I haven't been doing it strictly enough the past few days and my weight loss has stalled. I'm starting again today. I'm planning to repeat to myself over and over today - Kate, you will not have a glass of wine (or any chocolate) tonight while watching Survivor and then the Presidential debate.

Chinchilla · 30/09/2004 19:29

2nd weigh-in today. I lost 2.5lbs!
