going to be away from tomorrow for a few days so need to confees to gaining weight today although yesterday I was 3lb down on last week... might need to review the wine and chip content of the South Manchester beach diet whilst I am away...

This weekend I have been rubbish...Chips on fri and sweets throughout the weekend...
I know to all of you that because I dont have much to lose then I dont really matter,but I find that losing a stone and keeping it off really hard.....And just wanted the support that everyone else seems to be getting..

I've lost 3lbs since first posting, so quite happy. Except it is the same 3lbs I keep shifting and then putting it back on... so can only hope that next week I'll be posting to say I've lost a bit more.

Oh, I was wondering where everyone else was. I just looked back and realised that we are posting weight losses (hopefully) on Tuesdays.

I weighed myself this morning and I've lost nothing ho hum another thing to make me even more miserable than I have been...

... how have I managed to lose nothing?!?!?!

That's disheartening fizog. What have you been eating? I know that when I tried WW, the first week I was so good and followed it to the letter and exercised a lot, and I gained 2 pounds. That completely derailed me.

That's why it's amazing to me that I've been eating all this meat, cheese and eggs all week and I've still lost 4 pounds. (I've also eaten a lot of salads and veggies.)

Don't give up!

Not going to give up but am disheartened, been eating lots of lean beef/steak, ham, turkey breast, half fat cheese, fat free cottage cheese, half fat natural yogurt,spinach, tomato eggs... have been following south beach since Thursday but fell of the wagon on Sunday.

I hope that I will have shed at least a couple of lb's by next week or I'm going to have to rethink

I started South Beach on Monday and on Wednesday I felt lousy, so I can understand why you might have fallen off the wagon a couple of days later. I think it was the carb withdrawal that made me feel that way and I almost gave up and had a big bowl of pasta. But by Thursday I felt much better. I did slip a little on Saturday and then yesterday I was feeling hngry again. I really think you have to stick strictly to it for 3 days or so and you'll start to feel absolutely fine on the diet.

For me, the hard part is going to be social situations, eating out etc.

11 stone 8lb now so I lost a pound. Mam's babysitting tonight though so dh and I are going out for a Thai meal. Plus I haven't set my trampette up yet
Right I'm going to get it out of the box and see how difficult it is to set up then I'll report back later

Well done everyone! I'm down 5lbs this week!! No chocolate whatsoever! Swapped my addiction for something else - anyone else addicted to Kelloggs Fruit'n Fibre? Or is that a different thread?!

Well I've had 10 minutes on my trampette It was very easy to put up, just screwed the feet on. I'm honestly shattered and sweaty. Need to get a quick shower now before I go to get DS2 from nursery.

It is a fun way to exercise though Just have to be prepared to fight the kids for it

Well done to everyone so far. Fizog, don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I didn't lose anything for two weeks, then it got going again.

I go to the gym most days anyway but have been a bit lathargic lately so have just been swimming a couple/few times a week.

I am hopeful that it's might just be because I changed diets and then had a bad day too so hopefully next week I will start seeing results.

Is smoked salmon ok on the South Beach?

I'm useless trying the 10,000 steps and keep ending up eating the calories I've used up every night then in the middle of the night I vow not to do it again!!!! Think I'll start a nohopersdietclub

Haven't lost anything!! I'm still 9.11. I must admit I haven't done any exercise as such- only walking to school & back twice a day, just been too busy. But we have been eating healthier (apart from the quiche!)
WE are still allowing ourselves 1 takeaway a week.
Trying to incresae the amount of fruit & veg. Don't really know what else to do.
I'm not really that fuss about pounds-just need toning the fat bits and to be healthier! Any ideas anyone?

Dingle - if you want to tone I suggest joining a Hi/Lo impact aerobics class. 2 a week would see results in a reasonable time (if you had time)

Fizog, smoked salmon is OK on South Beach. In fact I've eaten quite a lot of it over the past week because I love it.
