Don't want to do it alone

OP posts:

Oops! I might have to double check my book, as my lady definitely gave me the impression that the bonus points were for ANY exercise.

Furball · 05/10/2004 20:09

Well, it put me off doing ANY, as 10,000 steps is scary enough and then all that extra for a few points, I'd rather not bother. But then thats probably why I'm in this mess in the first place!

Chinchilla · 05/10/2004 20:14

I will ask my lady, although she is a bit of a waste of time! Blooming 'leader', I think that I could do a better job than her. She keeps telling us to 'be good', which makes me FUME!

Chinchilla · 06/10/2004 21:24

Furball - Your leader is definitely wrong. My WW manual states that you can earn points for any exercise over your normal daily routine. Therefore, if you work in an office, and have started doing a half-hour brisk walk in your lunch-time, you would earn 3 (IIRC) points. My journal also makes it clear that the points are not dependent on having done your suggested 10,000 steps a day. HTH! Perhaps your leader should get some more training from WW! She sounds worse than mine, and that's saying something

Furball · 07/10/2004 19:48

Thanks Chinchilla, She is quite a nice lady, not that I've really seen her. Because her class is so big she has 2 sets of scales, I seem to end up with her accomplice.

Chinchilla · 07/10/2004 20:20

'Accomplice' LOL...I like it, sounds furtive!

Chinchilla · 07/10/2004 20:20

Oh yes, and I lost 2lbs this week!!! 8.5lbs in three weigh-ins.

so am I ist for this weeks' weigh-in? I'm ...... 64.6 How can my weight be exactly the same? I just don't understand it and am feeling pretting p*ed off.

All that effort with the walking and trampoline - I did 5 sessions on my trampoline & notched up over 94 000 steps in the week, as well as being 'good' food-wise and, as usual, not a gram lighter and clothes fit no better

ernest · 12/10/2004 08:02

but best of luck to all of you, sorry

Furball · 12/10/2004 08:07

Ooh, another one who stayed the same - although I didn't put the same effort of execise as you in though ernest. On a positive note I have lost 5 1/2 lbs so far and I did have a huge TGI Fridays with dessert last week [licking lips icon]

Good luck to everyone else

ernest · 12/10/2004 08:30

as anyone really tried slim fast ( I mean really given it a go, twice a day & really stuck to it, as opposed to a shake here and there)? I'm getting desperate

Fizog · 12/10/2004 08:36

Ernest - if it helps this is the first week I've lost anything and I have actually been really good. I switched to Weight Watchers (online) last week and have managed to lose 2lb's. Not much but it's a start. Hang in there.

JuniperDewdrop · 12/10/2004 09:06

Eeeek is it that time already? right I'll just pop off and have a quick weigh in but doubt I've lost anything

fairyfly · 12/10/2004 09:08

I have not weighed myself this week but i am not keeping any food down so should have lost some. There is something very odd about having your head down the toilet but smiling as you know weight loss is inevitable. Hope your all sticking to it.

JuniperDewdrop · 12/10/2004 09:11

11:6 so I've lost 1lb. That's all I'm losing every week and I walked loads yesterday plus I've really cut down. I've had a head cold though so haven't been on the trampette as it makes me really dizzy.

JuniperDewdrop · 12/10/2004 09:12

fairyfly

Sorry you've been unwell though

JuniperDewdrop · 12/10/2004 09:14

ernest, you know all that bouncing will definitely be building muscle which we all know is heavy. How do you look/feel in your clothes as that's the most important thing
I knew a girl once who started being a keep fit teacher. She dropped 2 dress sizes but went up in weight and looked fantastic.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 12/10/2004 11:43

Down 2 and three quarters of a pound this week. Better than last week. Will keep trundling on.

Sorry you're feeling so rotten fairyfly.

Having dusted off my exercise bike, have spent the last week walking past it guiltily without getting on it. Must sort myself out.

ernest · 19/10/2004 08:55

hooray! finally had a good week. I'm 63.2, so down 1.4, that's about 3 lbs. I can now just about squeeze into my pre-preg jeans, but hope no one notices the tummy bulging over the waist band. Had to work bloody hard tho' done the slim fast thing & been very strict. prob is couldn't do it over w/e & during these 2 days didn't eat really badly, but still put on a lot of what I lost wed/thur/fri. Does that mean when I go back to normal eating I'll just regain it all? Do I have to eat slim fast for the rest of my life?

PuffTheMagicDragon · 19/10/2004 09:43

Well done Ernest.

I've lost 3 and three qtr lbs this week, so 10 and a half pounds since we started on 20th September.

I still have a long way to go (put it this way, another 3 stone and I still won't be back to pre pregnancy weight, but at last my willpower is holding up and the weight is shifting.

How is everyone else?

Furball · 19/10/2004 10:00

Wow, thats brilliant both of you!

I lost 2 lbs this week So thats 7 1/2 lbs for me in total.

Fingers crossed for this week!!!

What's happened to everyone else on this thread who wanted to join in?? Where are you?

JuniperDewdrop · 19/10/2004 10:08

Well done you three!!

I've gained a pound this week probably because I've had sinusitis and not walked as much? Weird thing is a few people have asked if I've lost weight?
Finished the anti bs today but not back to normal. I was hoping to be trampetting by now but I'm not up to it.

Fizog · 19/10/2004 13:57

Another week of staying the same for me - and I'm being sooo good. It's a little frustrating. Still nevermind, I will percevier.

Why is it so easy to put on and not get off... where's the logic in that?? whatever happened to what goes up must come down?

Furball · 26/10/2004 07:50

Well, here we go again. I just scraped through with a loss of 1/2 lb this week. Wasn't 'naughty' as such, but did have 2 bottles of stella and a huge bag of pretzels one night last week, so can't really expect to lose anymore than I did.
