Thanks Fio2... just kick me, batter me whatever it takes...

twogorgeousboys · 20/09/2004 15:16

Forestfly and everyone else, I will join too. Have more than a stone and a half to lose, but would love to do it as part of a little team I can talk to! Thanks

Forestfly · 20/09/2004 15:26

Rosemary Conley Health Grill is only 19.99 i think its quite good if you like salmon and no one else does. Been looking at her site, i quite like her diets, basically you don't eat anything over 4% in fat etc here

Right, I'm biting the bullet and joining WW tonight before it all gets more out of hand than it already is. Tried SW and managed to do quite well but got to 'know it' too well, stopped and put it all back on . I feel I need a change, so WW it is then - I seem to need to have that constant keeping in check, so hopefully I can do it, especially if we can jolly each other along. I would like to loose 1 stone by the middle of November, then take it from there. So if I could join you that would be fab. Fingers crossed and all that.

Fizog · 20/09/2004 15:47

Does anyone know how good/bad a jacket potato is, I've never been able to work that out...

KateandtheGirls · 20/09/2004 15:49

Bad on the South Beach diet. I think if you're doing a low fat diet it's not bad, especially if you eat the skin (fibre).

Forestfly · 20/09/2004 15:54

Ive just found this online journal, you type in a food diary and it keeps track of your calories, fat etc. for that day. I am going to put in what i have eaten today and see how it adds up. here

unicorn · 20/09/2004 15:59

Fizog.. depends on what you stick on it (ie butter etc!!)
on its own the humble spud is just that methinks.

Forestfly... I am gearing up (as I always am!) for a body blitz... but I have 2 meals out this week... so can't do just yet ( and am definately not virtuous enough to go easy when out for a meal!)

KateandtheGirls · 20/09/2004 16:02

Forestfly, thanks for that journal. That's very useful.

Forestfly · 20/09/2004 16:25

Does anyone no if there is a supplement we/i could take to cleanse your system along with the soup, or even better speed up your metabolism?

Hi Ladies!

I'd love to join! I'm wanting to get back into a size 14 pair of Jeans i've never worn, but my target is to be the old curvaceuos sexy size 12 i once was, not the size 16 wobbly me i now am!!

I lost 2.5 stone before surprisingly falling pg with dd (now 8 months) in May 03, this was an attempt to lose all the weight i'd gained after having the depo injection for nearly 4 years! I followed the Slimming World eating plan at home without attending a class and found it so easy! I didn;t follow it like the bible, still had wine at the weekends and enjoyed the odd indian/pizza!

I've started it again today and am omn a green day! I had yoghurt and bannana for my brekkie, pasta with spicy tom sauce for lunch and am having a large jacket spud, with beans and mushrooms for tea! Oh and i've just snacked on an Apple! Tomorrow will be a meat day, as i had alternate days before so i never got bored! And you can have up to 15 syns a day, so that could be a bar of choccie, glass or two of wine, nice sauce to add to pasta/steak! Mmmmmm!

I've hung my size 14's on the back of my bedroom door so they stare me in the face every morning! But i'm peed as i don't know my actual weight today as my scales have broken! They say i am 18 stone..pmsl! Was a bit of a shock as i think i am around 13st!...

Good luck to you all!
Becs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

fio2 · 20/09/2004 16:51

shiraz, you are me!

you obviously have the same downfall;)

libb · 20/09/2004 16:52

I have some fantastic speaking electric scales - you lose 7lb just be moving 3inches across the floor. Bloody things, I wish that cow would shut up saying "error, please try again" too

butwhatdoiknow · 20/09/2004 16:53

I'll join you. I need to lose exactly the same!!

Ok heres the plan. Tomorrow you can only eat cucumber sandwiches. I mean - how many of them can you eat?

libb · 20/09/2004 16:54

lots if I can include tuna and mayo

Dingle · 20/09/2004 16:56

Forestfly, that journal look good!! Will take another look later.
What soup are you having, looked in my cupboards and fridge for inspiration without much sucess. Have quite a bit of salad stuff!! Don't mind it covered with mayo.

JuniperDewdrop · 20/09/2004 16:56

I'd love to join but I was useless in Bigmamas
Although I have just ordered my trampette so who knows, maybe I'll have men worshipping me at the chrimbo nights out as long as DH isn't looking that is!!

KateandtheGirls · 20/09/2004 16:56

I can't have bread. Does that mean I can only eat cucumber?

Hmm... don't think that'll work somehow...

Shiraz · 20/09/2004 16:57

Lol Fio and libb!....whatdoyouknow...cucumber sandwiches!! ooh too much bread!! pms!!!!

Shiraz · 20/09/2004 17:00

Another prob is we still don;t have an oven! We live in the middle of nowhere and don't have gas.....(oil fired here), and bloody Dixons ept sending me a gas oven...for crying out loud! I got that fed up and cancelled the order! Ever since dp has been working long hours or working away, so i've been relying on a stearmer, microwave grill, and a small table top oven/grill thing that my mother leant me, which you can fit about 2 tiny pork chops in pmsl! However it's so helathy amd i've managed for 3 months without a cooker! He he!
