Previous thread here: Half a stone off (or 3kg) in June http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3600209-half-a-stone-off-or-3kg-in-june

Welcome all to half a stone off for July!

As in the June thread I promise to inject some enthusiasm into every day (and try to stay away from Greggs) We saw some amazing losses in June so let's see if we can beat June's total!!

All welcome whether you are fasting, 5:2 12:8, ww, slimming world etc etc.

All I ask for is positivity and for us all to support each other.

Much love and looking forward to Day 1!!!

High Five PHSexGut

crivit · 15/07/2019 21:07

Double win then 😀

Millie2018 · 15/07/2019 21:36

Another High Five PaulHollywood!
I did my swim although it took much longer then usual. I stuck to food plan today with the exception of a jam tart. Figure it wouldn’t hurt as long as I went for the swim.
Got a busy day tomorrow. Might not have a chance to update in the morning so plan is:
B. Wheat biscuits
L. Ham sandwich
D. Low cal spag bol and low cal garlic bread

Snacks: Costa coffee
Exercise: walking all day!

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 15/07/2019 22:07

Haha @crivit Grin

Had a cuppa and a handful of chocolate peanuts when I got in... to some that would be a fail but to a hardened sweets addict like me (and I truly am, I used to shift 500g of chocolate most nights) this is a big win.

Just a handful.

lightlypoached · 15/07/2019 22:13

Just did 2.5 hours of ballroom dancing 💃🕺😬

lemonbalmtea · 15/07/2019 23:33

Had a deadline-orama today and ended up 300 cals over. I'd like to say I will make it up tomorrow but I'm on training for two days. I will push hard with some exercise later in the week.

Half way through guys!

Vebrithien · 16/07/2019 07:07

Good morning all, beautiful sunny day here.
Sat outside with breakfast.

Am very impressed with all of the exercise you're doing! I'm managing a walk (very early morning) 3 or 4 times a week, and some prenatal Yoga a couple of times a week. Saturday I managed 21,000 steps (sore feet!)

Had a bit of a scare yesterday, constant cramping, 7 and a half weeks at the moment, but feeling better today. So scared of another miscarriage.

Am off on a school trip to a science museum today, with a salad and pasta packed lunch to help me avoid the cafe!

Weigh-in tomorrow. Have been very restrained this week.

Have a lovely day everyone, I find it so encouraging to read about all of the different journeys we're on.

cricketmum84 · 16/07/2019 07:10

Morning all and welcome to Day 16!!!! Is it just me or is this month absolutely flying by?

Ended up having one gin too many last night as I was so stressed out. DS ran away again, this time because I had tried (and failed) to confiscate his phone as he had refused to go to school again. DH tried as well once he got home from work. 2 hours later he said he needed 10 minutes fresh air and just didn't come back. He is safe now at grandparents although has said he won't come home whileever his stepdad is here. We've been together 11 years and he has brought him up since he was 3. Am I supposed to split up my family and leave my daughter without a dad just because my son has decided he doesn't like his step dad anymore?? I spent a lot of time crying last night so needed the extra gin.

Plan for today is:
B - fruit and iced coconut milk latte from costa
L - tiger roll with low fat cream cheese
D - some sort of pasta

Hope everyone has a lovely and low fat day 😂

@Vebrithien oh god that must have been scary. Praying that everything goes well and baby bean sticks. You've been in my thoughts recently xxx

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 16/07/2019 07:40

PaulHollywoodsSexGut kudos on the handful. Breaking binging habits is HARD.

Sending sticking vibes to your little bean Vebrithien Thanks

Also ThanksThanks for cricket.

Stuck to plan yesterday.

Today:

B: Yoghurt & nuts
L: sticky chicken, baguette & salad.

I was under 12 stone today (the first time that's happened on a Tuesday), so that's encouraging Smile

Fluffiest · 16/07/2019 08:22

Vebrithien that must have been really scary, I'm saying a little prayer for the little one this morning and for you.

cricket I'm so sorry that you are going through all this. I hope you find a way to get your son and family to a more peaceful place.

I'm down a pound again this morning. I want to really try today to not put it back on by tomorrow.

Not working today but have my 3 year old with me all day so plan is to be up on my feet as much as possible and to get out and about.

Hope everyone has a good day x

TreaterAnita · 16/07/2019 08:41

Everything crossed for you Vebrithien. Cricketmum, that sounds really tough, not surprised you needed some extra gin.

Not a great couple of days which I think is PMT related. Challenge now is to mark it and move on rather than writing off the rest of the week which is how I keep ending up back at square one.

Sunday:
B: bagel thin w/ cream cheese, tomato & salami
L: skinny latte, kids size pizza
D: chicken, rice & veg, too much wine

Monday:
B: skinny latte
L: falafel salad
D: Greek chicken salad, wine
S: chocolate bar, crisps, cookie 🙄

Weight yesterday was 59.5 kg so 2.1kg down for the month so far.

Vebrithien · 16/07/2019 09:07

Thank you everyone. Symptom spotting like mad, but much less pain today. If it continues, or I have any bleeding, I'll be straight to the EPU, if it's going to be another loss, I really don't want the weeks of thinking all is well, when little one has already died.

BrillyPribble · 16/07/2019 10:50

Everything crossed for you verbrithien Flowers

My legmaster arrived today, bloody hell its hard work! I'm looking forward to jumping on each day though, and seeing progress.
Still being strict with calories, got friends coming over for lunch today so will make that my main meal and have a protein shake for tea later.

Crazzzycat · 16/07/2019 11:05

So sorry to hear you’re having a hard time cricketmum and vebrithien. I really hope everything works out for you.

My weight seems to be going up and down almost as much as my mood. 76.5 kg this morning, 0.5 kg down from yesterday...it’s too big a drop to be believable, especially as I didn’t actually count calories the last few weeks (or did much exercise!) But let’s not complain too much 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ellieboolou27 · 16/07/2019 11:27

@Vebrithien hoping everything is ok for you, if in any doubt go to EPU, they are so supportive and will put your mind at rest.

Feeling very bloated today, despite my resolve to reduce my daily calories to 1200 I've not been logging and eating like a pig the last few days. going to force myself to do a YouTube workout now as kids break up Friday and won't have as much opportunities from then!

PeriComoToes · 16/07/2019 13:49

Sorry to hear about your worries cricket and veb Flowers

I'm giving myself a pat on the back for 1. Walking for over an hour this morning and 2. Talking myself down from getting the gooiest, most calorific grilled cheese sandwich as a 'reward' for lunch.

Got a smoked salmon salad instead and then had the best most juiciest, crunchiest apple I've had in forever. It was delicious and literally tasted of summer. Take that! grilled cheese sandwich

@Vebrithien sending sticky-bean vibes to your little one.

Thanksfor @cricket and Ginas you deserve it. Hang in there your boy will come out the other side of this.

Started off well today with a 6.30 am yoga class and 2k steps before 7.30 am . But had poached egg and sourdough brekky instead of doing a 16 hour fast I had planned. Then went to a boring workshop work thing, had 2 fat biscuits and half a sarnie. Then 2 crackers and cheese (they brought in a cheeseboard.Grin). Then some sliced fruit. Then got home to find DH had naked a Dundee cake so had to try a piece. And DD has cooked a curry.

Blimey. I may even have to go the whole hog and wash the whole lot down with some white (a good friend is visiting and staying over so maybe rude not to drink ? ).

Mind you I have done 10k Steps so not a totally indulgent bastard Grin.

I have a really busy day tomorrow so will just write off today

I'm rubbish today. Confused

lightlypoached · 16/07/2019 18:58

Oh and that was DH Made a cake, not naked a cake. How do you even 'naked' a cake ?

PeriComoToes · 16/07/2019 19:15

'so not a totally indulgent bastard' 😂

I LOVE Dundee cake but only ever have it at Christmas.

Decided to have a bit of pasta with my turkey meatballs (and salad no less) but keep the portion small. Do you have any idea how pitiful an amount 45g of cooked spaghetti is? Literally a fork full. Not sure I'll even bother next time.

Fluffiest · 16/07/2019 19:28

Mid-july, gorgeous weather and I've caught a stinker of a cold! Nose is streaming, throat is scratchy and my eyes feel hot and puffy. Bleugh!

Can't face exercise tonight. I'm going to sweet talk DH into making me a hot toddy and then go to bed as soon as I can.

Food wise has been nearly OK but not great. Morrisons lighter breakfast, an ice lolly, three fruit pastels, sausage, mash and sweetcorn for tea but I only had one sausage instead of two.

Hoping if I rest tonight I'll shake this bug off quickly and get back on track.

Ellieboolou27 · 16/07/2019 19:45

@lightlypoached Naked cake 🤣🤣

Had cream cheese and crackers for breakfast
Lunch beans and egg with 2 bacon grilled

Dinner German sausage (280 calories for one)!!! with lots of green vegetables

Resisted biscuits at after school activities and did 20 minutes HIIT

Ihatesundays · 16/07/2019 20:36

Back to it today after a lazy weekend of pizza and not moving.

Did a big walk and a workout - I feel so bloated from the heat though...

Millie2018 · 16/07/2019 20:58

Managed to stick to plan with the exception of a bag of mini cheddars. I have to teach myself that I do not need to eat every time my children do... especially as I have 6 weeks with them coming up.
Was so desperate to eat some pudding tonight that I had 2 nectarines. This is after a decent dinner too. My only consolation is that I did do a lot of walking today.

Wellthatwastricky · 16/07/2019 21:05

Sending positive well wishes verbrithien

Cricket,* I'm sorry you're having tough times with your DS again, you're such a trooper, that gin much deserved I think.

I'm just keeping on keeping on. Think I might be slipping into bad habits. You know, sneaky little extra nibbles and that way danger lies (to the path of how I kept on putting on weight in fact).

Still, a bit of a NSV yesterday, I bought two tops two whole sizes smaller than I was wearing two months ago. Waist is someway off dropping two sizes, but my goodness what a nice feeling.
