Previous thread here: Half a stone off (or 3kg) in June http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3600209-half-a-stone-off-or-3kg-in-june

Welcome all to half a stone off for July!

As in the June thread I promise to inject some enthusiasm into every day (and try to stay away from Greggs) We saw some amazing losses in June so let's see if we can beat June's total!!

All welcome whether you are fasting, 5:2 12:8, ww, slimming world etc etc.

All I ask for is positivity and for us all to support each other.

Much love and looking forward to Day 1!!!

@WantLifeToBeBetter hugs, that sounds really hard. You are doing so well to stick to healthy eating with everything that's going on.

@Millie2018 omg I bet the bride was mortified! I would have been if that had happened at my wedding.

Well it's Monday morning! The start of a brand new week and we are going to smash it!! I'm being mega strict with myself this week.

Has anyone tried any wraps etc to reduce stomach fat? If so what did you use and did you find them effective (even if it's just in the short term)!

Plan for today is:
B - fruit and water
L - leftover veggie sausage and butter bean casserole from yesterday
D - some sort of salad with roasted chilli chickpeas
No snacks, no wine!

Have a great day everyone!!

Starting the week with determination. Going to give that squat tip mentioned up thread a go. Also going to commit to doing some form of exercise every day for the next 7 days. Would love to hit 3kg this month. Plan for today:
B. Wheat biscuits
L. Egg salad
D. Jacket Potato and beans
Snacks: fruit and Costa coffee
Exercise: an hours swim
Have a good day everyone!

Morning all! As predicted, a slight gain this week. I knew it had to be wrong as there was no way I'd lost 1.9kg in a week. It was much to big a loss. Okey dokey, let's see where we're up too this week!

Weight at end of June: 123.2kg

1/07/2019: 122.5kg

8/07/2019: 120.6kg

15/07/2019: 121.2kg

Loss so far in July: 2kg

Weight at beginning of 2019: 142.9kg
Total loss so far: 21.7kg (3.417stones/47.8

I'll take that! Well on target for a 3kg loss this month!

Sorry I've been MIA again. DD is (still) teething and has dropped her afternoon nap. This makes for a grumpy toddler and a very tired mummy who wishes she could go temporarily deaf just to get some peace and quiet. I am having a bloody street party when those last two bastard teeth pop through.

Ellieboolou27 · 15/07/2019 07:44

1.5lb gained - not surprising as ate far too much over the last few days and not logging everything on MFP.

First gain since i started in June. Meeting friend for pub lunch today so will need to choose wisely. Also not going to weigh daily this week.

Ellieboolou27 · 15/07/2019 07:48

@DeadButDelicious never mind the gain - teething and no sleep is hard work!

Next week we will be posting our losses 👍

PeriComoToes · 15/07/2019 08:15

1.8lbs lost this week so that's a total of 4.6lbs since the beginning of July (and a stone since the beginning of the year).

Trousers are feeling a bit looser which is a good sign.

Feeling positive for the week ahead. Holiday in just over 4 weeks so really need to stay focused.

Good luck for week 3 everyone.

crivit · 15/07/2019 08:31

74.1kg for me this morning. A bigger loss than last week (I think 1kg as opposed to 100g) but a little frustrating given I was at 73.3 at one point during the week. Thank goodness I went for the 2 hour bike ride yesterday otherwise it may have been even more disappointing!

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 15/07/2019 08:34

I’m actually scared to go on the scales. Last few days are a definite “could do better”.

I read somewhere that “it’s ok to feel hungry for a bit”. Need to get on board with that.

Crazzzycat · 15/07/2019 08:59

Weighed in at 77 kg this morning, which is a total loss of 0.6 for this month. It’s not much, but as the month has been pretty hard going so far, I’m actually pretty happy with that.

Fingers crossed the next few weeks will be easier Smile

Ihatesundays · 15/07/2019 09:09

I’m staying off scales till tomorrow - my last weight was 77kg too @crazzzycat

lightlypoached · 15/07/2019 09:23

Morning team.

An indulgent weekend but not ott.

60.9/32% this morning (that'll be the cheese!)

But more importantly had my NHS well person check and it was all good. Cholesterol all good. BMI 21.6. BP ok (just!). Need to drink less.

I will keep on with the fasting though as it feels good. Smile

Still aiming for 59 something for holidays so you aren't rid of me yet 😂

Crazzzycat · 15/07/2019 09:59

High five ✋ @Ihatesundays 😄

HearMeSnore · 15/07/2019 10:09

Ok - even after the takeaway, ice cream and gin - no gain since Monday. And Monday's weigh-in was unrealistically low due to tummy upset on Sunday. So we're ok.

Total loss so far 5lb.

B: Fruit & fibre, cup of tea
L: M&S super nutty salad
D: Macaroni cheese, green salad

Shopping arrives late this evening. No goodies or snacks left in the house so as long as I avoid work biscuits I'll be ok.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 15/07/2019 10:29

Millie2018 that sounds grim. I always pack food for weddings. They make me ravenous.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut it was doing 5:2 for a while which taught me not to panic about feeling hungry. It was valuable for that alone!

Thanks for you Want.

Didn't really think about what I was eating this weekend.

Today:

B: yoghurt & nuts
L: spaghetti bolognese

Then a fast until tomorrow.

No running for me today: my body feels like lead.

Millie2018 · 15/07/2019 13:14

Who was it that mentioned doing squats to help your pelvic floor? I thought I was pretty fit but just did 100 squats and nearly passed out!

Fluffiest · 15/07/2019 14:37

Back up to 9st8 this morning. I'm stuck in a yo-yo pattern. Getting annoying now.

However, I resisted the Just Eat voucher last night and made a tomato pasta instead. And I ran for a solid twenty minutes yesterday, which is good for me.

Today I've had a poached egg on toast, a packet of sunbites, and two chocolates (office temptations!) going to have a small bowl of pasta tonight and then do some exercise at home and then decorating.

Skinnywish1 · 15/07/2019 15:05

Weigh day for me and thanks to a bout of d&v last week I've lost 3lb. Fingers crossed I can keep it off and loose some more this week. May fit in a few walks this week around work and my home stuff try and help things along.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 15/07/2019 17:06

That was on another thread @Millie2018 where it may have been @tallgreenglass that recommended it.

I’ve done about 10 today and am dead.

Also someone needs to motivate me to go to Tai Chi tonight as I’m in the mood for sacking it off.

Millie2018 · 15/07/2019 17:11

I had a year of physio after DD’s birth due to birth injuries and just about regained control before falling pregnant with DS. That just about finished me off in that area 😂 will definitely keep up with them though see if it makes a difference!
Paulhollywood go to Tai Chi! Because urrrm, it will make you feel like a winner for the rest of the evening...

3dogs2cats · 15/07/2019 18:08

I had been really good today, but we had a new loaf of sourdough and a friend gave me a jar of her homemade strawberry jam. I enjoyed it though. I must remember that when I don’t lose any weight this week.

PeriComoToes · 15/07/2019 18:22

Aaargh I had a doughnut today. I didn't even want it!!!

Visited my mum - who I don't see that often - and she had got it in especially. I didn't have the heart to refuse. It was meh to be honest. Am adjusting tonight's dinner to make up for it to stay within my calories though so that's something.

I would worry that after about squat 3 a big stream of wee would come out so I think I'll steer clear of those.

BrillyPribble · 15/07/2019 19:12

On the pelvic floor thing, I ordered one of those leg masters that someone mentioned earlier and it's arriving tomorrow - be interesting to see if it helps!
I've been properly sticking well within calories and within 16:8 again for the last few days, hope that by weigh in on Wednesday I'll be back on the right track.
The hunger thing is interesting. When I was pregnant, I felt really faint and queasy if I got hungry so I'd nibble on things constantly. I think the result of that is that I panic about feeling hungry. I'm trying to retrain myself that feeling hungry is OK and doesn't mean I'm going to keel over.

crivit · 15/07/2019 19:23

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut - probably too late to be an encouragement but I think you should go! I did a t'ai chi and qi gong class earlier and feel much better for it 😀

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 15/07/2019 19:29

I’m here! I’m here. Managed to resist sitting in the ASDA car park stuffing my face with chocolate buttons 😐
