Previous thread here: Half a stone off (or 3kg) in June http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3600209-half-a-stone-off-or-3kg-in-june

Welcome all to half a stone off for July!

As in the June thread I promise to inject some enthusiasm into every day (and try to stay away from Greggs) We saw some amazing losses in June so let's see if we can beat June's total!!

All welcome whether you are fasting, 5:2 12:8, ww, slimming world etc etc.

All I ask for is positivity and for us all to support each other.

Much love and looking forward to Day 1!!!

Oh dear. Have just had some roasties. But they were dug from the garden at 4.30pm. Tossed in oil, salt, pepper, fresh oregano and parmesan. Bloody delish and I forwent a lamb kebab (those skewery things from Sainsbury). Just had them with a luscious salad.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 06/07/2019 20:40

What an utter fucking write off today has been food wise:

Ice cream
Chips
Crisps
Pop

Fuck me, and I wonder why I’m overweight.

I’m going to try my damnedest to get as near 3kg as poss by the 31st, started at 79.4 and already lost a princely 0.6kg so chin up, tits out, and remembering I’ve got so so so many lovely clothiers just needing to be worn again.

Sounds so easy when it’s written down doesn’t it?

Millie2018 · 06/07/2019 20:55

So last month I went to a b day party and there was a buffet. I went crazy. Cakes, crisps, biscuits, sausage rolls, chicken nuggets. That buffet led to 3 days of eating before I could get back in control.
Today I went to a buffet. I had one ham salad sandwich, cucumber, carrots, tomatoes, strawberries and grapes.
I go home after 2 hour car journey, put the kids to bed and went for a walk.
So far this week I’ve tracked 18miles. Weigh in tomorrow and I’m sure it will be a loss.
@cricketmum84 really pleased to hear Ivy cat is doing well
@paulhollywoodssexgut write it off and start again

Bloody hell @Millie2018 that’s inspirational

Millie2018 · 06/07/2019 21:43

Thank you! The cup cakes looked so good too!

lemonbalmtea · 06/07/2019 22:37

Can you lose weight through sweat? I've done buckets of that. Pleased as turned down an ice cream at the garden centre for ice cold sparkling water. Halo

3dogs2cats · 06/07/2019 22:42

Hello everyone. My birthday today. Lindt and strawberry bootlaces, toast with butter and lemon curd. Salad Nicole’s, white chocolate, pistachio and raspberry cake, and cleaned the frosting bowl. Then a fabulous Indian meal.
Once a year. Just as well

3dogs2cats · 06/07/2019 22:58

Just added calories to MFP. The 2 pints of beer really swung it!
800 over.

3dogs2cats · 06/07/2019 22:58

And I haven’t logged the cake

TreaterAnita · 06/07/2019 23:05

Brilliant news about Ivycat @cricketmum84.

@Fluffiest Isn’t it just the best feeling when you try something on and it looks great.

Another damage limitation day here today:

B: Hotel breakfast - prunes with yoghurt & granola, croissant, small cooked breakfast & 1 piece of toast
L: mozzarella salad & latte
S: latte
D: 3 slices pizza & wine

So a lot of cals, but not nearly as terrible as it could have been.

cricketmum84 · 06/07/2019 23:47

@3dogs2cats happy birthday!!!!!!

Lost 3lb this week, which I put down to using cronometer. If it's a novelty, I'll take it. After a long plateau it's welcome.

Can't say I've done much more exercise, although I did some vigorous gardening yesterday (scrubbing). Entering loss as I go to recalculate calories.

Off to aquafit and a little swim. I think I will treat myself to a sauna after.

cricketmum84 · 07/07/2019 08:33

Morning all.

It's day 7 and I'm the exact same weight I was on day 1. Seriously pissed off.

Had a lovely time at the gala yesterday and didn't eat too badly.
2 crumpets with avocado butter
Glass of Prosecco
2 beers
Filo wrap with spinach and feta from a veggie bakery stall
Half an ice cream (gave DH the rest Cos I had enough after half)
LM pulled pork burger in the evening.

Visiting time for ivy cat soon :) can't wait to see her!!

I probably won't really eat during the day but planning on making fajitas for tea, I do mine with quorn chicken pieces and use baby gem lettuce instead of tortilla wraps. However I've got a whole avocado just for me!! Love avocados but I don't eat enough of them as they are quite high in points.

Hope everyone has a lovely relaxing Sunday!

@3dogs2cats happy bday !
@cricketmum84 great news re the kitty.

The roasty spuds down thread sound amazing!

A sparse food day followed by indulgent evening. Half a burger, some salad and fried halloumi. Washed down with half a packet of Rolos and about 8 gin and slimlines (to be fair the glasses were titchy and I was thirsty 😬). Lots of dancing 💃 and sweating though (and treading on toes 🥴) so overall not bad.

The result: still 60.9. I'll take that.

Have a lean,mean day everyone 😎

Fluffiest · 07/07/2019 09:00

Ah sorry cricket that's really frustrating. Hoping week 2 is a better one for you.

I had a 4lb loss since day one of July. But I think that's because my weight went up 2lbs last weekend so I had a bit of a false starting point.

I really want to lose 2lbs this next week so that I can say that I've lost a stone since mid May.

Will skip tea tonight because I am singing at church so will aim to have nutritious and filling lunch.

BrillyPribble · 07/07/2019 09:07

Same here cricket, 13 st 9 exactly the same as last week. I know I'm sticking to the calories and have done lots more exercise than usual this week so am holding out and hoping for a little 'whoosh' down at some point. However today I'm going for Sunday lunch at a pub and tomorrow is a big family birthday so there'll be treats and cake galore.

WantLifeToBeBetter · 07/07/2019 09:20

Well done for the losses, and sorry to those who haven't lost this week. It's frustrating but honestly if you've made the right changes to your diet then it will come off eventually; and slowly and surely is far better than fast and then piling it all on again later, or developing an ED.

I had a decent day yesterday (considering I worked a 12 hour shift). Did have some wine (and some whisky!) when I got home but I'm fine with that as an occasional thing - just so long as it doesn't send me on a downward spiral so need to be careful today!

B - protein bar, banana
L - lentil salad, wholemeal roll, Labara bar
D - pitta bread stuffed with spicy chickpeas, salad, Japanese rice crackers
S - grapes and cherry tomatoes

Going for a 10k run shortly. And possibly off to a comedy show later depending on DP's health. If we do go then I'll stick to two alcoholic drinks. If not then the plan is to stay off the booze.

Good luck today, all (and I hope ivycat continues to improve)!

LooseAtTheSeams · 07/07/2019 09:21

Looking forward to hearing that Ivy Cat can come home! Enjoy your visit today Cricket!
No losses, no gains - and it's raining so probably no run today. The cat is a bit subdued - he's a sun worshipper.
Yesterday skipped breakfast so snacked on peaches and some lentil cakes. Beans on toast for lunch and tofu with rice, broccoli and spinach for dinner.

Ihatesundays · 07/07/2019 09:46

I lost 0.1kg again. These tiny amounts are so frustrating. Desperate to be 46kg as that’s under 12 stone (I was47.5kg this morning)

WantLifeToBeBetter · 07/07/2019 09:57

@Ihatesundays if I'm doing my maths right then 47.5kg is about 7.5 stones.. maybe you are thinner than you think (or I am massively fatter!).

Howlongtillbedtime · 07/07/2019 10:05

Morning
I had a drunken night out on friday and very little food so felt awful yesterday.
Result of that meant lots of carbs yesterday and sausage egg and chips for dinner last night. Was bloody lovely but back to the gym today and healthy eating.

Weather is a bit rubbish here today so housework and boring stuff to do.
Going to meal plan for the week ahead as that always helps to keep me on track.

I hope everyone has a good day . One week down already !

Ihatesundays · 07/07/2019 10:11

I mean 77.5 - too early for numbers!
