Welcome all to half a stone off for July!

As in the June thread I promise to inject some enthusiasm into every day (and try to stay away from Greggs) We saw some amazing losses in June so let's see if we can beat June's total!!

All welcome whether you are fasting, 5:2 12:8, ww, slimming world etc etc.

All I ask for is positivity and for us all to support each other.

Much love and looking forward to Day 1!!!

Morning all, I am loving Chronometer. Having plateaued at 1lb weekly loss and gaining weight last week, I am now 0.5lb off this weeks target, and I like that I know my daily diet is nutritionally balanced. Thank god my pmt has gone too.

twobambinos · 04/07/2019 09:50

@lightlypoached hope you feel better soon.

@xJune88 you will be back in the normal bmi range in no time. Welcome and congrats on your baby.

I've had a breakfast of 400kcals two bacon medallions grilled with homemade brown bread and butter and water. Plan for today is a long run. And some clothes shopping in the evening. No idea whats for lunch or dinner as will be out and about. Have to stay on track as hoping tomorrow will bring a loss on the scales.

Millie2018 · 04/07/2019 09:52

I’m at a soft play (yes already) and the bacon sandwiches smell sooooo good! Sipping a coffee and going to burn some energy off on the bouncy castle!
Welcome @xJune88! It’s still early days! Enjoy your little one x

jfk1718 · 04/07/2019 09:57

Kept to 1200 cals yesterday and did 1600 steps.

Had a cheeky mid week weigh in today and was approx 9st4, so 1lb off since sunday. I think my scales might be flattering me a bit though. Put on a dress which at 9st4 should be a bit baggy and it's actually quite snug. So I feel like I'm actually more like 9st8. Not sure if it's scales or that I haven't been able to do proper exercise (I'm normally a runner but broke my foot recently so can only walk and not run) and so I'm larger but weigh less because less muscle.

Anyway, I'll take the positive and keep going. Tomorrow is last day in work before a couple of weeks off so need to keep focussed (you lot are really helping!)

Crazzzycat · 04/07/2019 11:30

Morning all. Started off my day by going for a 40 minute walk in glorious sunshine. The highlight was seeing two blackbirds teaching their chick how to find food. It was adorable!

Hope you all had an equally good start to your day!

LeukaeLucky · 04/07/2019 13:35

@Crazzzycat thanks
I'm back and hoping to lose weight before going on holidays 18th of July
Xx

TheCatThatDanced · 04/07/2019 13:36

So I was on last thread.

Went well yesterday but this morning woke up late. Missed breakfast. Had half a cup of tea with skimmed milk then Pret sausage and egg brioche for breakfast, a rocky road for snack, turkish pilau small portion with 2 quorn mini eggs, 1 baked crisps 109 calories and fruit salad from work canteen.

disaster day but this week have managed hardly any snacks and if anything have had those Nak'd bars e.g. 1 a day.

OhTheRoses · 04/07/2019 15:05

I have no idea what the scales will reveal when we get home tomorrow. Hoping not too much damage will have been done.

Loving all the kitties. Hoping Ivycat has turned the corner.

cricketmum84 · 04/07/2019 15:55

Still no blood results from the vets. I called at lunchtime but they said it would be later this afternoon.

I'm so on edge and anxious waiting for them to call.

Fingers crossed x

BrillyPribble · 04/07/2019 17:00

Any news yet cricketmum?

cricketmum84 · 04/07/2019 17:25

Some good and some not so good news.

Creatinine and Urea levels have come down slightly but still at a critical level. Creatinine is now at 746. However she has developed high blood pressure which is very common with kidney disease.

Going for another couple of days fluids and they are starting with some kidney and BP medication from tomorrow morning. More blood tests Saturday to see if there is any more improvement.

Aw @cricketmum84 here’s hoping another round of meds can help Ivycat get better Flowers

lightlypoached · 04/07/2019 20:36

@twobambinos thanks. how you ever manage to keep weight down with home baked bread in the house is beyond me!

cricketmum84 · 04/07/2019 20:47

Hope everyone has had a good day. I've been on the stress diet today! Realised at about 3pm that I hadn't eaten in 24 hours! Oops!

Ended up with a banana and a slice of bread.

Decided on a pub tea instead of chippy. God some pubs veggie options are just dire aren't they? My choices were Mac and cheese, nachos or a mega carb heavy mushroom pie. I would absolutely love to open a veggie pub that offered something other than bloody cheese!!! I had nachos in the end and they were very meh.

Ha ha. We have a carvery close by. I thought it offered lots of opportunities for no cook suppers as dh rolled off a late train . We went once.

The family in front of us decided to try the gravies before ladling. About six choices. Finger in and lick; abd repeat. We had dry dinner. DH has refused ever to set foot in a carvery again!

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 04/07/2019 20:55

Well somehow I’ve gone from 79.4kg to 78.8kg PLUS I’ve sussed out that my scales measure body fat and water as well.

So it’s wins all round, even if I am 37% lard.

Ihatesundays · 04/07/2019 20:58

I lost 0.1kg - I hope for something better tomorrow Grin

TreaterAnita · 04/07/2019 21:32

Sorry that it was only mixed news about Ivycat @cricketmum84. Fingers crossed that the meds help.

Down another 1kg this morning, but now on holiday for a couple of days so will be damage limitation.

B: skinny latte
L: skinny latte & egg & mushroom muffin
D: nachos, flatbread & cheesy chips (v beige but shared with DD and we left loads), 3 glasses of wine

CheerfulChimp · 04/07/2019 21:47

Weighed at the gym yesterday and have lost 1.9kg and had a great session. Today, I've been active at work and avoided sugary treats or snacks but did indulge in a jacket potato meal for lunch. Dinner at home was a small portion of chicken and rice with some vegetables.

Tomorrow I want to do my first morning run at 6.15am before going to work. I've been saying this since last week Blush so will try harder to make it happen.

Anyone here get up early to go running before they go to work?

Millie2018 · 04/07/2019 21:56

Stuck to plan today, despite the bacon sandwiches calling me this morning. Worked hard at my Zumba class and managed a 3 mile walk at lunchtime. No snacks!
Still thinking of ivy cat @cricketmum84

lightlypoached · 04/07/2019 22:03

@CheerfulChimp i don't run but did yoga class before work today. it made me sweat a lot. it's hard to get up but feels great once you are there.

@PaulHollywoods i'm glad you found the fat measurement thing. don't believe the 37% - they are notoriously unreliable - thats my story and im sticking to it)

WantLifeToBeBetter · 04/07/2019 22:10

Flowers for Ivy Cat.

The pub trend round here is for "dirty" vegan food, so it's all plant based but dripping in grease Hmm .. I wish pubs would offer some "hearty but healthy" options personally.

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut @Ihatesundays
@TreaterAnita @CheerfulChimp : well done for all your losses - that's great going!

Not a bad day here:
B - bircher muesli with (too much) honey
L - big salad box, banana
D - omlette, guacamole, rye bread, salad & a yoghurt
S - veggies and half a strawberry & banana smoothie
No alcohol, lots of water, 5k run.

It's going to be a long and stressful day at work tomorrow and I know I'll be tempted by the treat box. Going to try the strategy of making sure I take time to have healthy filling meals so hopefully can avoid snacking. It's not going to be easy though so any motivational words would be appreciated!

Good luck with your run @CheerfullChimp - I like to run first thing at the weekend but never have the willpower before work.

Howlongtillbedtime · 05/07/2019 06:31

Good morning all
First weigh in of the month and I am 3 pounds down. Very happy with that.
I have many pounds still to lose but I do feel I am slowly getting somewhere.
Not sure about food today but I will get to the gym after work and then am out with DH to a comedy night later which I'm looking forward to.

Paws still crossed for Ivycat cricket

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 05/07/2019 07:19

Morning!

Sorry ivy cat is still stuck at the vet cricket Thanks

I WILL NOT buy scales that measure my body fat. Nope. Won't do it.

Trying to dredge up some motivational words for WantLifeToBeBetter...

The only thing I can come up with is the old Nothing Tastes As Good As Skinny Feels Halo

Great losses everyone!

I'm feeling groggy this morning, so I'm skipping my run.

L: egg on toast
D: chilli

Enjoy the sunshine.
