Wagon was well and truly lost, hadn't even checked the threads in MONTHS.

Weighed in this morning at my highest in well over a year as 10st5.

I WILL NOT GAIN BACK ALL THE WEIGHT I LOST!

I saw the May thread died a death and I need my gang to help me get back in the ZONE

I don't care what method you are using if you want to join me this month in resurrecting the slenderistas please come on board I have missed you all so much!

cheese knowledge is power, it should be pretty straightforward to consistently lose now you know what hidden / empty calories were making their way into your diet before. Especially since it's calories that are fairly easy to ditch, being drinks. I'm guessing it was lots of sugary fizzy ones, and juices and things? I always think that's a pretty good vice to have, as there are lots of satisfying 'placebo' replacement options, like cordial with sparkling water, so it's not such a dramatic transition. Less easy if it was wine...!

I'm hoping for Good Things this week - DH is going away so I'll aim to be super golden until Thursday. Fingers crossed...!

lastqueenofscotland · 17/06/2019 21:44

Count me the fuck back in.
Hovering around 10.7 10.8 at the moment, probably more after 4 days of eating like a complete bin. Brave the scales tomorrow

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 17/06/2019 22:13

OMG you're all here! And I didn't spot you. So glad to see the thread resurrected. I have name changed a few times but this thread really helped me when i needed to lose 1.5 stone.

It's creeping back on. I was 11 3 this morning. Time to clamber back on the wagon and I hope you'll all motivate me.

Cheese well done! That's so impressive.

Quim I'm going to give your method a go.

poorpaws · 17/06/2019 23:58

Did I hear my name? I’m back - I’m fat! ☹️

Starting Wednesday (meal out tomorrow).

I’ve missed you all 😢

I’ll be back on Wednesday and I’m out leaving again. Remember my shinny new wagon? I’m jumping on the drivers seat.

lastqueenofscotland · 18/06/2019 07:36

10 11 this morning Shock
A lot of that I hope is bloat and water retention, I was hungover yesterday and ate EVERYTHING

I think I've got a touch of the keto flu at the moment. Bit of a nagging headache but nothing too bad, though I get pressure headaches so it could be that. I had to put photos of myself up on social media for work and feeling really vulnerable about it. I work in a role that's a look about how you look/being cool and constantly feeling like a fraudy heffulump. Blush

QuimReaper · 18/06/2019 15:27

Oh hello again Kicky and lasty and paws! Slenderistas Assemble!

I am delighted that some of you are trying Quim's Patented Weight Loss Programme Smile I feel a bit of a fraud as I'm still a couple of kilos heavier than I want to be, but I'm planning to be Mega Golden for the next couple of days! Unfortunately I had a mishap with a block of cheddar last night and snaffled a couple of tortellini from DH, but hoping a couple of Mega Golden Days will set me straight.

What's everyone got planned for dinner? I've got a Fridge Soup going on in the slow cooker, I just made a base sauce and chucked in everything that needed using up - primarily four sausages and a red pepper Confused

QuimReaper · 18/06/2019 15:35

cheese have you been drinking lots of water? A tip I picked up on one of the 5:2 threads is that drinking lots of water can deplete your salt supplies, and so a spoonful of marmite can help. I think it's Hairspray who dissolves marmite in hot water if you fancy that, or you could use an oxo cube.

Might just be sugar withdrawal though!

cheesenpickles · 18/06/2019 15:55

Yeah I've been having lots of water so could be electrolytes. I'll give the oxo cube a try (don't like marmite blughhh). Feeling better now thankfully!

lastqueenofscotland · 18/06/2019 18:22

I’m having fajitas but have eaten the square root of fuck all all day so need to try to not eat my weight in biscuits while they are cooking

stellarsky · 18/06/2019 20:29

Waves to all!

I'm doing 16:8. I have never tried fasting before. I've always thought I required to eat at set intervals through the day. But I have been looking at the times I eat and I eat a lot of biscuits in the staff room at 10.10 so I decided I can wait and eat my breakfast then. Which is fine when I'm at work but our summer holidays start in two weeks and that'll be the test!

lastqueenofscotland · 18/06/2019 22:25

Accidentally ate loads of crisps while cooking but apart from that I’ve been well good so, fingers crossed

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 18/06/2019 23:14

Well apart from a small cupcake and a fab lolly I've been pretty golden today. Avocado on toast for lunch and chicken wrap for dinner.

Stellar I've been experimenting with 16:8 for the last few months. It went really well for the first couple of weeks and I lost quite a bit of weight but then I developed a bit of a habit of binging after lunch (usually on office biscuits). The other problem was that because I was skipping breakfast I wasn't having any porridge. Which had quite a bad effect on my digestive system Blush.

I'm doing a sort of half hearted version now.

QuimReaper · 19/06/2019 10:43

have eaten the square root of fuck all all day

Grin

kick one solution to that might be to mix oatbran into a yoghurt - doesn't require any prep and it's curiously delicious with vanilla yoghurt! If you had it as a post-lunch snack that'd be two birds with one stone Smile

(If you're not familiar - I discovered oat bran when I was first low-carbing, apparently it's beloved of Atkins dieters as it's supposed to be some kind of miracle substance which expands once inside you, so it tricks you into feeling fuller, and "drags" everything through your digestive system without leaving a trace of itself behind or being metabolised as a carb. I don't know whether those claims are true but I'm sure it'd have a porridge type effect!)

QuimReaper · 19/06/2019 10:50

I've left my smoothie maker languishing for an embarrassingly long time, so it's coming out today! Kale, carrot and apple smoothie here I come.

My weird sausage stew affair was pretty good last night in the end - needed a bit of frozen mashed potato to thicken it and I dumped in the end of a tub of Philadelphia so it wasn't quite as virtuous as it could have been, but surely better for it!

For some reason I'm ravenous this morning though, my belly's growling like nobody's business Confused

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 19/06/2019 12:26

Thanks quim. I will give that a try. I find it really easy to skip breakfast. I have only had hot water so far today and I'm not particularly hungry yet.

I think fasting definitely works for me but I need to thonk a bit more about what I eat when I do.

lastqueenofscotland · 19/06/2019 12:27

Was 10.10 this morning. Good for breakfast and lunch but someone bought me a bag of crisps Angry

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 19/06/2019 13:59

Oh dear. After my last post I had a bowl of porridge for lunch and then went to a meeting. There was a full lunch and cake provided Blush

Salad for dinner.

cheesenpickles · 19/06/2019 16:00

I have to say I'm so glad I don't work in an office anymore. The amount of food on offer sounds overwhelming!

QuimReaper · 19/06/2019 19:00

Oh my goodness, resisting food at work is SO hard! I think if I ever have another office job, I'll claim to suffer with coeliac disease, then I'll be forced to choose between giving in to cake/sandwiches, and outing myself as a compulsive lying lunatic Grin

I'm distracting my belly with an oxo cube at the moment. Racked up just about 20K step today - and they were actual steps, not hooping - and been very virtuous and kaley. Planning the same for tomorrow and hoping to finally see a decent result!

poorpaws · 19/06/2019 23:17

Well my first day couldn’t have been worse. Tomorrow and Friday I am eating out again (that’s very unusual for me). Guess I’d better start on Saturday or better still Monday 😂

I think I need a lot of help.

Unlike Quim i’m not even doing many steps. I wonder if there’s any hope for me at all if this is the beginning. I will be back though and I will try harder ... next week.

QuimReaper · 20/06/2019 14:51

poor of course there's hope for you, and this isn't the beginning! This is a long boring road full of ups and downs, which you've been on for ages - you've been on an "up" before, and you'll do it again!

(Come to think of it, with the road analogy, should the "downs" be the good bits and the "ups" be the bad, i.e. "uphill struggle" bits? Hmm.)

lastqueenofscotland · 20/06/2019 18:24

I was 10.8 this morning. Largely I suspect due to dehydration from the enormous amount of beer I consumed the day before

poorpaws · 21/06/2019 22:06

Oh my goodness I’ve been out all day and eaten so much food. Egg diet anyone? 😀
