Wagon was well and truly lost, hadn't even checked the threads in MONTHS.

Weighed in this morning at my highest in well over a year as 10st5.

I WILL NOT GAIN BACK ALL THE WEIGHT I LOST!

I saw the May thread died a death and I need my gang to help me get back in the ZONE

I don't care what method you are using if you want to join me this month in resurrecting the slenderistas please come on board I have missed you all so much!

FriedFishFacial · 06/06/2019 19:58

So glad to see this thread resurrected! I never post but have been a ghost slenderista for a long time. Also trying for the half stone in June, 1lb down since Monday so nowhere near the success you lot are having, but I’ve plateaued (read not been trying) for a couple of months now so just glad to be moving again. Low carbing roughly, although still having some fruit. Going well so far, feel back in control.

HairsprayBabe · 07/06/2019 08:00

Was not golden yesterday by a long stretch didn't go wild but had things that were more weekend foods than good/golden foods!

cherry yogurt
30g cream cheese
cucumber
tomato
full fat cappuccino
baked beans
irish scones x2
slice of my dads birthday cakes

In all honesty I should have stuck to 1 scone and then I might have sts but I am 10.1

I was planning on having an omelette for dinner but got distracted in the super market by yellow stickers.... that then had to be eaten right away Grin oopsy

Still I didn't just gorge my self all evening after a rubbish dinner and cake so that is a plus point for sure!

Hi FriedFish! We love a shadow slenderista!

Glad to see this thread is picking up a little bit of steam!

Going to have a broccoli cheese omelette for tea tonight rest of the day is standard yogurt fruit/veg and a little bit of fat so either celery and peanut butter or cream cheese and cucumber

Need to sneek in an extra golden day today to make up for cake and stodge yesterday

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 07/06/2019 10:08

Hello FriedFish, thanks for coming out of hiding! Grin

30g cream cheese
cucumber
tomato

Hairspray I am intrigued by this ^ - do you dunk / spread the latter in / on the former? Very impressed you're planning a Golden Friday! Mine won't be as I'm going to my mum's for dinner! And, well, because it's Friday...

Weighed in this morning to assess the damage. 2.4kg over. And that's after a Mega Fast Day yesterday. Not unexpected but waaaaah!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 07/06/2019 10:33

Hi everyone! Nice to see some familiar faces!

I saw this thread pop up in active and it must be a sign because I’ve just got back from holiday and my jeans won’t do up! It was a great holiday though Grin

I fell off the thread a while back after I reached my goal weight (54kg which sounds really low but I’m short!) and I maintained pretty well for a few months but I weighed myself this morning for the first time in a while and I’m 58.2kg. I think I need a few weeks of low carb to shift it!

HairsprayBabe · 07/06/2019 10:34

Slice the cucumber into rounds spread a bit of cream cheese on each round - I think I did 7 or 8 just eyeballed it few drops of hot sauce on each top with half a cherry tomato a few cracks of black pepper over the whole thing
It was literally made up yesterday from the things I felt like eating from my fridge Grin
They look like weird diet canapés if you are a meat eater you could add in a little bit of ham/sliced chicken for extra protein

I have these little individual pots of cream cheese so I don't have to weigh it out and I can be firm with my self 30g and that is it

I don't weigh out/measure/calorie count non starchy veg any more in that way madness lies - plus if you are gaining weight from tomatoes and cucumber then I dread to think how much of it you are eating!

They actually look incredibly classy Hairspray, I'd serve those at a party!

Spurious Nice to see you! I need to focus for a bit too, I'm sure it'll be much quicker coming off this time than it was the first time around!

HairsprayBabe · 10/06/2019 09:17

Happy Monday all, hope you all had good weekends! Hi spuriouser! Lovely to see some old friendly faces!

@quimreaper I find presenting my food in a nice way distracts me from the fact that I am eating such a piddly amount of calories!!

10.2 after the weekend - was okish for a weekend didn't go crazy but definitely ate things I would not in the week!

So 3lbs down over all so far - pretty pleased with that I feel if I stay focused this week I will get into the 9s for Friday

The weather is due to be hideous here so I feel my plan of salads and crudités will not hold up - may have to revert back to soups and other wintery things - I just never want a salad when it is pissing it down!

I have bought myself some of the Halo Top lollys - I like the icecream but the lollys are individually portioned at 80kcals each so I will treat my self to one later in the week but today we are being fully golden

Having a yogurt and probably some celery at lunch time
Satsuma if I get hungry before tea
Broccoli cheese omelette for dinner

Hoping to close the kitchen on about 700 kcals - just having a cappuccino now!

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 10/06/2019 12:21

Broccoli cheese omelette sounds delicious! I'm the same with food and weather, if it's cold, eating something cold and crunchy makes me feel colder. It really is horrible here, it's planning to rain nonstop all week! Not conducive to a good step count I fear...!

HairsprayBabe · 11/06/2019 10:07

I have never seen rain like it in June - it feels more like October!
I am hibernating and have done an online food shop for the first time in ages because the weather is too vile to consider going outside!

I did well yesterday
Cappuccino
Yogurt
Celery sticks
2 baby oranges
Broccoli and cheese omelette
Halo top "magnum" (80 cals)

10.1 - was hoping for a bit more but never mind I guess it is still downwards and I am on for another golden day today

Food plan is:
Yogurt
Cabbage broth - literally 2 cabbage leaves shredded superfine and sat in stock for 5 mins
Cherry tomatoes if I need something to nibble on in the 3-5 pm slump
Diet broccoli and cauliflower cheese for tea

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 11/06/2019 15:42

Hairspray do you use frozen cauli and brocolli for that dinner? I was making it for us a while ago but it kept going really watery which wasn't very appetising, even if I defrosted and dried it out the day before. I never got to the bottom of it.

We're having mackerel and ratatouille for dinner tonight Smile

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 12/06/2019 09:24

It’s awful weather here too, really miserable. It was nicer weather in February!

I’m at home today, but not sure what to do for lunch. I’m thinking maybe an omelette or something? Dinner is going to be stir fry.

I did fairly well at the weekend but the last couple of days have not gone to plan, plus AF is due and I feel quite bleurgh, and not like I want to nibble celery sticks.

Ello That rings a bell, I remember someone promising to share the recipe for that on the old thread! Sounds delicious.

4.4 Lindas is superb, well done Smile

Good day yesterday, the mackerel and ratatouille were fab - I've discovered the secret to ratatouille, which always strikes me as very convenient but always comes out really bland and boring whenever I attempt it, is to go absolutely berserk on the herbs, and make it 48hrs or so in advance and leave it to mature in the fridge. Also to make it nice and "solid", so the tomato flavour doesn't dominate. Just in case anyone else has always been defeated by it!

I also drank absolutely gallons of water yesterday, which I'm hoping will help get things moving. I've realised at the last weigh-in I was even heavier than I was on my first weigh-in of the year Sad

cheesenpickles · 12/06/2019 14:29

Hiya, can I join please? I've been in MAJOR denial about my weight for a while. Managed to lose about 2 stone after I had my youngest but it's crept back on again working from home/kids in bed grazing.

I've been doing intermittent fasting since Friday with a bit of watching my calories/cutting out a lot of carbs and going ok so far. Weighed myself everyday and I've already dropped 7lbs (though I know this will be water weigh mostly at this point).

Ultimately I'd like to lose another 71lbs but I'm aiming for 50lbs at first. I used to be very slim and toned naturally but the 20s and 30s have slipped by as my weight has increased.

Eldest is being a fuss pot with food at the moment and I always swore I wouldn't cook separate meals but in order to make sure we're all eating it looks like I'll have to. Sob.

QuimReaper · 12/06/2019 16:44

Hello cheese - you might want to change that name if you're dieting, it'll make you feel peckish whenever you see it! Grin Welcome aboard the Slenderista train, we'll handhold you through it. Is Intermittent Fasting your strategy? Is that 16:8 or 5:2?

7lbs since Friday is INCREDIBLE, what a great start!

Cooking separate meals sounds like a pain in the jacksie, but depending on what your kids eat, could it be construed as a good thing? If they're eating something non-diet-friendly, you might not be tempted to just have the same to make things easier? Of course, that also depends on what shape the fusspot's fussiness takes, if they'll only countenance roast potatoes or something it's not much good...!

cheesenpickles · 12/06/2019 17:08

Thanks haha yeah I thought it might be a good Idea to nc Grin. Yes, I've been doing IF and aiming for 16:8 but have ended up doing close to 18:6 or event 20:4. It's surprising how much I wasn't listening to my body and just eating whatever because I fancied it. Trying to eat Keto/low carb ish but won't be hugely strict on it until I need to/plateau.

Think for now separate meals may have to be a thing. What I've been trying to do is cook a high protein meal and then bulking theirs with some veg, potatoes etc. They eat lots of fruit and veg but the carbs are definitely my downfall.

So pleased how it's going so far. I really need to get in the mindset of it not being a diet as such but more a new "lifestyle".

HairsprayBabe · 13/06/2019 09:25

Didn't get a chance to weigh in this morning as I had to be out of the house for half six and wasn't thinking!

Just having a coffee now - it is freezing I have gone into the office today and I am borrowing someone's hot water bottle!

Quim For my broccoli/cauli cheese - I do use a frozen mix but I roast them on their own from frozen for about 20 mins first to get rid of all the extra water

I make a really stingy amount of cheese sauce with skimmed milk and strong cheese then I put a bit more cheese on top.

I use the strongest cheese possible so I can use less and still get a good cheesy flavour.

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 13/06/2019 13:03

cheese I am always saying that to people, about how often eating is force of habit - it's quite amazing once you start paying attention to it! You also notice if you let yourself get hungry that it quite often dissipates by itself - we tend to think of it as something which grows and grows and grows, which is certainly sometimes true, but if you ignore it, you'll often find that by the time it comes to actually eat you're not feeling remotely hungry any more. It's a good lesson to learn I think.

cheesenpickles · 13/06/2019 13:28

So true quim. When I've tried dieting in the past it was all about weighing and obsessing about what I could have or counting down the minutes till I had my next "dust" shake Grin. Now I'm thinking about what I'm going to eat and really putting thought into it so I enjoy what I'm having. We had a sneaky kebab last night but it was a chicken shish with salad and garlic mayo, all accounted for and handed the pita to my husband. I never thought I'd be able to do that and it's what I would have ordered usually anyway. Not to mention I'm getting lots more work done now I'm not popping to see what's in the cupboards. It's only been a week but I'm thinking this is the change of strategy I needed all along.

cheesenpickles · 14/06/2019 06:31

Eek. So first proper "weigh-in" after one week and I'm 8.5lbs down. Pretty pleased with that. Smile

stellarsky · 14/06/2019 07:52

Hello!
Head hanging in shame. I'm back to lose the lindas. Slight username change as lost the other log in.
I'm definitely up for this. Going on holiday next month and would like to drop a dress size.

QuimReaper · 14/06/2019 11:07

Crikey cheese that's brilliant! Well done you!

Stella welcome back Smile I'm going away next month too and feeling similarly!

Only lost 100g this week though Sad The days of my dropping 500g in a week seem to be a thing of the past. I wonder why Confused

cheesenpickles · 14/06/2019 13:00

Thanks. I know it's the just the first bit and water weight but considering im at that awks time of the month it's pretty good going. I'll be happy with 1lb average a week going forward.

Just did a mfp of what I used to eat in an average day and was horrified. I think I was inhaling about 4000kcal a day ... mostly on drinks. BlushConfused
