Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

I would like to join.
Gained a fair bit of weight after an all inclusive holiday in May and I heavily indulged in Swiss chocolate this month.
Never tried meal replacement shakes before but I've ordered some from Amazon.

Fluffiest · 29/06/2019 07:12

Morning all,

Can't believe June ends tomorrow! I really want to finish strong these last couple of days, and then be full of enthusiasm for July's challenge!

Gained back 1lb this morning which isn't surprising because I had a big lunch of leftovers and then DH had a fry up waiting for me when I got home. Also didn't exercise last night because I was cleaning the house for a party today (even though we are going to be out in the garden anyway)!

Going to try my hardest to drop that 1lb again today. There will be lots of yummy food about but as we're hosting I think I will spend more time looking after people than eating myself!

Morning! In bed with coffee before I start the day proper.*

Jeds55 best wishes to you & your bean Thanks

Have a great party Fluffiest Glitterball

My plan over the weekend is just 3 meals a day, no snacks, no booze, then back to two meals on Monday

cricketmum84 · 29/06/2019 08:54

Morning all. It's our penultimate day today!!

My day has started pretty badly. My beautiful cat was acting a bit strange and then collapse and couldn't walk. I've rushed her to the vets where they are keeping her in and doing a whole raft of tests. She's not even 2 yet so still a baby and she has pretty much nurses me through the last year or so. Please keep everything crossed that she is going to be ok.

We are throwing a bbq this afternoon, it would usually be a bit of a blow out for me but being veggie certainly has its bonuses! Plenty of grilled mushrooms, salad and corn on the cob for me!

Have a lovely sunny Saturday ❤️

Oh cricket what a tough time you are having. Keeping everything crossed for your beautiful cat.

I usually relax a bit at the weekend but given final weigh-in for the month is tomorrow I might stay a bit more on-course today! Banoffee protein shake and grapes for breakfast, salad for lunch, not sure about tea yet.

LooseAtTheSeams · 29/06/2019 09:57

Oh no cricket - I am keeping fingers crossed for a quick recovery!

OhTheRoses · 29/06/2019 10:51

Similar hapoened to our boy aged two cricket. We got him straight to emergency vet and were prepared for the worst. They pumped his stomach and he turned the cr. He was unwell for about a week being v v sick every time he came off the drip and ate. Had scans to see if any damage and there wasn't. It was poisoning of some sort - we know not what. He pulled through. Now 11 with osteoarthritis.

Flowers fingers and toes x

Millie2018 · 29/06/2019 10:53

@cricketmum84 really hope your cat makes a speedy recovery and it’s nothing serious.
Chinese last night was a bad idea, unsurprisingly. I’ll be amazed if I haven’t gained when I weigh in tomorrow morning. Did my Zumba class as normal this morning and sweated loads so hopefully that will help.
Have a good day everyone.

Startoftheyear2019 · 29/06/2019 11:49

I'm so sorry @cricketmum84. You really are having a tough time 🌈

cricketmum84 · 29/06/2019 12:27

Vets have phoned.

She has stage 3 kidney disease, it's affected her heart and blood pressure which is why she collapsed.

They are putting her on fluids for 48 hours and then scanning her on Monday to check for cysts and tumours.

Even with special food and medication the prognosis is a year at the most. She is 18 months old. How is this fair??? I can't stop crying x

Oh @cricketmum84 😞 that's so sad. I had a beautiful white boy who got kidney disease. They gave him 6 months and we put him on a (very expensive) diet of fresh fish and chicken to ease his suffering. He lasted for another 10 years 😬. There are no guarantees but I hope yours manages the same. Cats are so important to us.

I do hope your kitty comes through. Poor girl.

Xxx

Thanks
Howlongtillbedtime · 29/06/2019 13:19

I am so sorry cricket that really is unfair. Such a young age.

Howlongtillbedtime · 29/06/2019 13:21

Last weigh in tomorrow and I really really hope I have lost that last pesky pound to make the 7 pound loss this month.

Will definitely be joining you all for July.

OhTheRoses · 29/06/2019 13:25

Flowers for cricket

BrillyPribble · 29/06/2019 14:09

Sorry it wasn't good news cricket, that's so unfair.

Millie2018 · 29/06/2019 15:00

Sorry cricket. It Is unfair. She’s only a baby. Thinking of you and hope Monday brings better news 💐

Fluffiest · 29/06/2019 16:10

Oh no, I'm so sorry cricket, your poor cat. Flowers. I wish we could all give you a big hug.

My feet are knackered and I'm feeling very hot and sweaty after hosting the BBQ. I kind of forgot about the diet until after I had filled my plate with a burger, sausage and crisps and salad... Honestly just completely didn't think about it. Going to try and not eat until tomorrow, although I would very much like a glass of wine at some point this weekend. Don't know whether to resist as I'm not going to exercise tonight... It's too darn hot!

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 29/06/2019 17:17

Sorry cricket, that's awful Thanks

Skinnywish1 · 29/06/2019 20:04
