cricketmum84 · 31/05/2019 12:34

Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Good morning everyone.

My scales have stopped working !! I have ordered some more but I am scared when I get the new ones they will weigh me heavier.

Anyway I am planning a good and healthy day today.

Lunch is mushroom bourgignon with a jkt pot.
Dinner cajun chicken and sweet pot mash.
Snacks
Fruit and mini cheddars or hula hoops
And gym after work.

I have had a hectic few days so have been a bit AWOL but hello all and good luck for today.

AngelaScandal · 27/06/2019 07:59

Thanks fluffiest. Velcro baby is 5 months old. Hasn’t napped. Ever. Sleep resister...

BrillyPribble · 27/06/2019 08:04

Congrats lemonbalmtea, hope the gym was fun!

I had a good day yesterday, reinvigorated to try and get those last couple of pounds off in the next few days! I agree with the soup for lunch thing, if I have soup or a smoothie (and I try and get lots of protein in it) it's really filling but not many calories.

Onwards and updownwards!

Millie2018 · 27/06/2019 08:15

Morning all. I managed to pull it together yesterday. Going for my swim gave me the time to re-focus. Will hold off weighing myself until Sunday morning given the past 3 days. Hoping with Zumba tonight and better eating I’ll shake off any potential gain this week. I’ll be happy to stay the same as that will leave my June loss at 2.4kg.
Have a good one today everyone.

cricketmum84 · 27/06/2019 08:19

Morning all and welcome to

🔥 Day 27! 🔥

Last push now for a few days losses. I can't wait to start seeing the full months losses coming in! It's gonna be fun to add them all up and see how much we have all lost as a group. I've lost the 3lbs again that I've gained and lost repeatedly all month so fingers crossed it doesn't go back on again before Sunday!!

I have a meeting at DS school later this morning hopefully to discuss what extra support he needs to get him back to going to school every day. The stress has set my IBS off and I'm in pain and feeling sorry for myself.

Plan today is:
B - no time so just water
S - watermelon when I get in to work
L - Greek salad
D - wholewheat tagliatelle with Philadelphia and wild mushroom sauce, lots of salad on the side.

We can do this!!!

OhTheRoses · 27/06/2019 08:31

Thanks cricketmum. Will your stress ease once the summer holidays start? Interrsting point above about cortisol. Must look that up althpugh when dd's cortisol was high she was losing weight but had a serious underlying auto immune disease that was making her unwell.

Off on holiday tonight so can't weigh again until 6.7. I hope the thread will continue. It has been better than ww.

This morning I was 12st11.5lb which is a new low, that's 13.5lb since 15 April. Will be interesting if I can keep it up on holiday. Usually I don't gain on holiday.

DirtyDennis · 27/06/2019 08:55

Good few days (haven't been on the thread though, too busy) where I've been around 1K calories.

Hoping for a pound and a half this week.
Today:
B: Cornflakes (100 cl)
L: Rice and salad with naughty cake (400 cl)
T: Veg one-pot and garlic bread (400 cl)
Snacks: Biscuits (200 cl)

No exercise today but walked about three miles the last three days so that should help

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 27/06/2019 10:04

Morning!

Thanks for you AngelaScandal, I remember what that was like.

Millie2018 glad you're feeling more in control Smile

OhTheRoses it can go either way, I think. here's a link. I use meditation a lot, as it's supposed to help lower cortisol levels if you stick at it.

I'm 12st 2 today, so still a pound over target. I'll see if I can get me a little whoosh by tomorrow.

Good luck everyone.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 27/06/2019 10:06

Oh yes:

Late B: yoghurt and nuts.
Late L: Salmon couscous with Mediterranean vegetables.

I've been for a very sweaty run this morning too.

lightlypoached · 27/06/2019 10:15

Morning.
60.8 today so no loss. Managed a 16:8 yesterday but with 900 cals not targeted 800 so not surprising. Had a fearsome headache all of yesterday so hoping that isn't back today.

It's DS prom today and we're hosting pre prom drinks at ours. So I may succumb to a glass of fizz and canapés. Smile

I've got Friday and Monday off so I can blitz the house ahead of our extension work that should start in September - finally finishing Kon Marie I hope. That will burn some calories and keep me busy.

The sun is shining !

Have a good day everyone

OhTheRoses · 27/06/2019 13:19

Well after my bath I was 12st10lb Smile. Reached 10% of body weight loss.

Millie2018 · 27/06/2019 13:42

Hope the meeting went well cricket

Fluffiest · 27/06/2019 19:24

Eugh. Tough day for me. I didn't make it to interview for the job that I thought could fix all of my work problems. They said its because I don't have a degree (and they mean any degree in any subject, not one relevant to the role). It's really frustrating because I know I could do the job but I'm not going to get the chance to prove it.

Deep breath. Resist the wine and go back to the drawing board.

On the plus side, got a lunch time walk around the park in the sunshine.

Hope your days have been better than mine.

BrillyPribble · 27/06/2019 22:14

Sorry to hear that fluffiest, that sounds quite a restrictive criteria - was the job in demand? We're advertising quite a few vacancies at work and seem to struggle to get enough people to apply.
Had an ice cream cone this afternoon but kept the rest of meals light to allow for it so all in all, pretty good again today.

Startoftheyear2019 · 27/06/2019 23:02

I'm happy as this thread has helped me reduce calories on a regular basis and I've lost a total of 3lbs. While that's not a huge amount, it's more than I've managed for ages and it's been easy! Thanks for all your encouragement @cricketmum84 Hope you reach your goals and you and your family have a good summer.

Fluffiest · 28/06/2019 06:55

Thanks BrillyPribble, hard to say if it was in demand. It was kind of being a brand representative at events. But the hours were great for my situation - part time, term time only. But I feel a bit less bitter about it this morning, I am dusting myself off and looking at other options.

Congrats startoftheyear!

Aaand I resisted drowning my sorrows in wine last night and I've lost another 1lb this morning. So that's helped cheer me up too.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 28/06/2019 07:25

Morning!

Sorry to hear that Fluffiest; that sounds tough Thanks But woohoo! for the pound loss

Good news Startoftheyear2019!

I had my little whoosh this morning.

Start weight: 12st 7.5 lbs
Today: 12st 1.25 lbs

Not quite half a stone, but not bad!

Thanks for the thread support. Roll on July 🌻🌻

Millie2018 · 28/06/2019 07:32

Morning all. Made it to Zumba and was pretty good yesterday. Just had a jam tart with the kids.
Out on a school trip today so will be limited to the packed lunch I’ve made for us.
Have a good day everyone.
B. Wheetabix
L. Ham sandwich
D. Chinese rice and meat

lightlypoached · 28/06/2019 08:02

Morning super team

Still 60.7 but not bad because I had a 16:8 non fast day yesterday 1000cal including cheese and Prosecco (I hate the stuff but we were toasting my son's prom!). Weirdly the 'no wine on the week' thing is putting me off it when I can drink it. Unheard of. Grin

A day off work today (wooo!) so will be pretty active and will do a low cal day. I might get there to target 60.5. Or I might not !

I hope everyone's troubles ease today and that you get some time to look at the beautiful sky and feel the breeze on your face Smile

cricketmum84 · 28/06/2019 09:11

Good morning my lovely losers and welcome

❤️ Day 28 ❤️
I'll be setting up the July thread tomorrow so keep an eye out for the link.

School meeting didn't happen yesterday as DS refused to go to it at the last minute. We are rescheduling for a day he actually goes to school next week so they can pull him out of a lesson rather than him backing out.

@OhTheRoses 10% loss is a fantastic result! Well done!

@Fluffiest I'm sorry that sounds rubbish :( I'm sure that a better opportunity will come along soon!

@Startoftheyear2019 brilliant result :) and I'm so happy to hear that the thread has helped so much!

@MilesJuppIsMyBitch well done! Sterling work :)
Heading off to work in a minutes but happy to report I am another 2lbs down this morning so praying for another pound or so to bring me a little closer to June target before Sunday.

Plan for today is:
L - ww tomato soup
D - Chinese takeaway, thinking noodles (local takeaway will do them with no oil for me) and some salt and pepper tofu.
Snack - yoghurt coated rice cake and an iced coffee

OP posts:
TheCatThatDanced · 28/06/2019 13:05

Can I join? 11 stone (gulp) want to lose half a stone.

My diet for the day.

half a cup of everyday breakfast tea with skimmed milk then a large metal Costa mug of takeaway breakfast tea with skimmed milk on train.

2 nectarines and 1 x Little Yeo yogurt (peach) and Quaker Oat Granola Raisin for breakfast.

Lunch: 3 x Cauldron falafels, small portion white Tilda basmati rice, 4 x sundried tomatoes in olive oil, 4 x mushrooms, 3 x cherry tomatoes, mixed salad lettuce leaves. 1 x plain Baked Walkers Crisps

also drinking water

Eating out later Turkish meal and cocktails...

LooseAtTheSeams · 28/06/2019 15:31

So, not too awful. I've not quite hit 70kg- or dipped below it - but I'm very close and might be hovering around that level by Monday! Aiming to go running on Sunday morning to help things along a bit!

OhTheRoses · 28/06/2019 15:53

Well we are now in Greece.
I head fillet of salmon with chips last night but as every mouthful was a ww point couldn't bring myself to eat them. The children (well they are 21 and 24) stoked up at the airport and I was ravenous on the plane. The least pointy offering was a cheese and ham toastie which was 12 points!

But I wore a navy frock yesterday that hasn't done up for two years and am wearing a hobbs frock that I bought and dressed up for ds's school leaving dinner six years ago and haven't worn for three years Smile. I want them to still fit next week.

I think there's something in the cortisol theory. My weight gain coincided with dd's peak illness 3/4 years ago and my sugar fix was wine. Although she started recovering three years ago a very stressful cpl of work years followed. Good stress but it came with crippling extra responsibility.

Hoping your light will shine from the end of the tunnel @cricketmum84.

Jeds55 · 28/06/2019 15:55

Hi all, not been on here for a week as was really thinking I was going to have another early mc. All seems to be going ok so far, still such a long way to go.
Have been stuffing my face so this is not the place for me at the moment! Good luck all, you can do it, small changes all add up. Thanks for the well wishes up thread xxx

PenelopeFlintstone · 29/06/2019 04:58
