Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Can I join in? The amount in the thread title is exactly the amount I want to lose in June.
My downfall this week has been wine - on the grounds it's half term and I'm on holiday. I'm going to have to cut it out completely from tomorrow and do salads for lunch! Have lost a lot since the dark day of Jan 1 though so not too despondent!

BrokenWing · 31/05/2019 17:08

I'm in. Currently 16st 7lbs and it would be fantastic if the scales say 15st something by the end of June.

I've lost 37lbs since January, but it's slowing down and the snacking habits are sneaking back in. I need new inspiration.

I look forward to your daily motivational 💪🏻 posts cricketmum to push me to weight loss success.

No pressure 🤣

DiscombobulatedWomble · 31/05/2019 17:30

Wow congratulations everyone on your losses so far. Very inspirational!

DeadButDelicious · 31/05/2019 17:32

@cricketmum84 Your cat is adorable! Lookit those little beans! Marina (for that is the dogs name) is not a great motivator for walking. She is a lazy lump Grin. I drag her along with me under extreme protest some days.

Hello all new joiners! Welcome aboard! I have a fair old bit of weight to lose. At the start of the year I weighed 142.9kg (22.7 stone!) and so far I have lost 19.7 kg (3.1 stones) I need to lose another 7 to get into a healthy range so I've a big job ahead of me. This thread is amazing motivation.

I do my official weigh-ins on a Monday and that's how I intend to continue. I'd like to get down to 19 stone dead this month. That would be great.

Looking forward to following all of your journeys!

Moominfan · 31/05/2019 18:44

Was thinking today how much better id feel with a stone off. It's not a tremendous amount. I know how to do it. Yet I don't? Writing this after I've had lasgana and chips dinner then a mahoosive Ice cream from ice cream Amman

OhTheRoses · 31/05/2019 20:50

Thrilled we are still going. Thank you for catching the baton cricket Thank you for all support so far @vivafrida. You have been awesome. World leading for me.

Lord onows what tomorrow's weigh on will bring after wine o'clock Friday and Chilli. Oh fuck!

threesenoughthanks · 31/05/2019 20:52

Count me in. I have lost a few lbs here and there this year but need to commit to making a proper effort. Boredom eating is my downfall. That and toast Blush

hopeful31yrs · 31/05/2019 20:59

Lurked for the past month but have been doing it right with you! Have lost about a stone since Christmas but most in the past month. Mixing 5:2 with daily workouts if I can (not intentional). Current weight 66.1 (although on a bad plateau at present - despite being on one of my best diet streaks) and want to aim towards 60kg as a first goal. 5ft 2in and was 54kg on wedding day, not sure that is achievable anymore but want to feel healthy and good in clothes.

Eskimodesert · 31/05/2019 21:13

Oh yes please to joining! My family and I have just booked a holiday and I have at least 8kg to lose. Want to feel good in swimwear for once. Will do starting weigh in tomorrow (it could be more than 8kg...). Thanks all! We have got this!!!

Millie2018 · 31/05/2019 21:47

I was in the May group and I put on 0.6kg over the month 😭 can’t believe it, as I did try pretty hard. I did lots of exercise, so maybe it’s muscle... anyway... I’m going to be trying the MIND diet this month, which was recommended by a friend. No measuring or counting just 10 foods to eat more of and 5 foods to avoid. Fingers crossed this month will be better. I’ve got a special event in July that I would like to be 6kg lighter for. Will do my weigh in in the morning x

WhenDoISleep · 31/05/2019 22:14

I’m in - I have tried for the last few months but I have not been kind to myself. I have now gained 20lbs since the start of the year. I am determined to start reversing that this month. Will post my starting weight tomorrow.

Mum7777 · 31/05/2019 22:45

Can I join? I've struggled with my weight for a long time. I am 13 stone 7 lbs but would ideally like to be 11 stone 7lbs.

Just need some motivation to keep me on track...

Thequaffle · 31/05/2019 22:46

I would love to join please!

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 31/05/2019 22:47

Hello! I've been an infrequent visitor since February.

This thread has been amazing, I'm just sorry I haven't been a more regular poster - I do appreciate you all xx

9 Feb - 12st 2.9lbs
1 Mar - 11st 9.8lbs
1 Apr - 11st 4.2lbs
1 May - 10st 10lbs

Today - 10st 2.8lbs

I have hit the two stone loss.

6.8 lbs to target weight. June could see me do this 🙊

It's my birthday on the 30th 😁

Skinnywish1 · 31/05/2019 22:57

Can I join please. I have a couple of health issues that have caused me to gain quite a bit of weight. Currently 11st 9lb need to get 3 stone off. I'm only 5ft and weight looks awful on me. Totally new to Mumsnet too

Newstart40 · 31/05/2019 23:22

I will join you! Just recently turned 40 and fed up of being fat. Also just today returned from a camping holiday which was fun with bad knees and hips getting up off an air bed. Said bad knees and hips are 75% weight related problems so I really need to shift the excess load.

Will weigh in tomorrow but know I have roughly 3 or 4 stone to lose overall. 7lb at a time makes it seems more reasonable.

awana · 31/05/2019 23:37

Ooh, can I join? I need to lose a stone but can't do any exercise as I'm ill. Guess I have to do it the hard way and stop eating which is difficult when I'm home all day.

Good luck everyone x

lightlypoached · 31/05/2019 23:53

I'm in.
Currently at 63 kg and would like to get back to a more comfortable 59/60 so my clothes fit 😬
Also wanting to halt the upward trend that comes with drinking wine every night that then makes me eat late night cheese.
Ooooh cheeeeeese

leivei · 01/06/2019 00:09
  1. 5'3. 16st 6. Early menopause. Starting HRT. Need I say more. BORED. I eat and drink wine. Need some help and motivation. Potential holiday September so want to drop at least 2 stone. HELP!!! 😣😞💪
Anas112 · 01/06/2019 03:48

Hey! I would like to join too!:)) I've been on a diet 2 weeks now and my starting weight was 94kg. Im now 89kg so lets see how much i lose this week. My target is to be end of this month 80kg, 9kg to lose. Fingers crossed i will lose or at least something ;)

MercuryRising · 01/06/2019 03:58

I would like to rejoin please. I have started running since I last posted on one of these threads but my diet has got worse. My current weight is 12.9. I will weigh on a Wednesday and would love to be 12.2 by the end of the month. I'm going to a bbq this afternoon, but I'm the designated driver so as long as I make sensible food choices I should be able to limit the damage.

MercuryRising · 01/06/2019 04:03

Whoops just double checked my weight on the calender... start weight is 12.12 so target is 12.5 for the month Blush

Fatgirlonamission · 01/06/2019 04:22

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one feeling fed up about my weight. I'm in a very similar situation to DiscobobulatedWomble and weigh more now than when full term pregnant! I'm currently in Paris for a few days and instead of enjoying it, all I can think about is how much more weight I'm going to put on when surrounded by bread, cheese and pastries. I know this sounds sad and pathetic but this is how my mind thinks at the moment. I'd love to join this group because I need to change my mindset and now something about it, feeling on control again! I'll post my weight on Monday and until then try to refrain from the chocolate croissants!

Thinkinghappythoughts · 01/06/2019 04:42

I'd like to join to. I am 74 kg. I was 78 and want to get down to 71 by the end of the month for our summer holiday.

That will bring me back to the weight I was when we moved to our current city 4 years ago. Since then the weigh has been creeping on. I have been trying to lose/stop the creep for the past 2 years - only to find myself heavier.

I am forcing myself to eat less (especially nighttime snacking) and have started exercising at least 3 times a week for about an hour.

It's been a slog, but seems to be working. For me, eating less and moving more is much easier said than done. It's painful! I just keep reminding myself that if nothing changes (in regard to my lifestyle) nothing will change (my weight!).

joystir59 · 01/06/2019 05:19

I would like to join in too please. I'm delighted to now be no longer officially overweight advice come down from 14st 9lb to 11st 4lb since Christmas, by eating smaller portions and limiting treats to Saturdays. I'm very active cos- Jack Russell and I have a cleaning job. My target weight is 10st 7lb.
