cricketmum84 · 31/05/2019 12:34

Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Baked cakes with the kids and managed to only lick one spoon! That’s a win for me. No exercise today, but will do a Zumba class tomorrow to make up for it. I’ve been really wanted to snack. Feel like I’m eating a lot of calories in fruit.
Will weigh in Saturday morning for the tally. Fingers crossed it’s a loss this week.

NightmareLoon · 05/06/2019 21:10

Y'all are too chatty, and I've been too busy to join in yet. I lurked on May (but did pretty well in the month, only stalling in half-term) and am determined to keep going!

riotlady · 05/06/2019 21:33

I am sooooo hungry today! So far I’ve had
Breakfast: bran flakes
Lunch: toast with crab terrine and an an apple
Snack; chocolate rice cake
Dinner: salmon, brown rice and asparagus

Still hungry!! Might have some Greek yoghurt + fruit.

DiscombobulatedWomble · 06/06/2019 06:34

I fell off the thread. And I've been useless this week anyway. I just cannot seem to kick the chocolate habit this time around. I don't know what's wrong with me!

BlindTipsy · 06/06/2019 06:56

1 and 1/2 lb down this morning but I think mainly dehydration from lying around in a sauna at a twilight spa session last night followed by far too much wine with my sisters 😂. I'm taking it though.

Mum7777 · 06/06/2019 06:59

Just got on the scales not movement at all and I've been good all week. Just don't know what to do.

Fluffiest · 06/06/2019 07:03

Ooh, that sounds like my kind of evening, blindtipsy!

Maintained weight again. Just another half pound and I would see that magic number 9 appear on the scales. I am hoping that is going to motivate me today. We got a three hour car journey today and a Mcdonalds service station is almost certainly going to happen.

So I'm going to skip breakfast, have a salad for tea and try to run in the evening. Hopefully I'll balance it out somehow!

cricketmum84 · 06/06/2019 07:20

Good morning all and welcome to

❤️ Day 5 ❤️

Sorted the batteries in the scales and it's showing a 3lb gain. I'm disappointed but I really haven't tracked the last week or so. And the occasional homemade brownie or a few sweets here and there or that extra glass of wine really does add up!!

It's my birthday tomorrow so I'm planning to be back fully tracking and staying within points from Saturday.

Me and my sister are finishing work at 12.30 today and going for drinks and food in town for pre-birthday celebrations. She's suggested turtle bay which is a Caribbean restaurant. They do a gorgeous looking veggie platter which shouldn't be too bad calories and fat wise. However there will be cocktails! So today should look like this:
B - small almond latte and fruit
L - shitloads of rum cocktails and veggie spicy platter
D - G&T and maybe a small salad if I'm hungry!

Wishing us all a productive and successful day!

Good morning
59.6 today (-2.2 kg so far)
Today I've booked an aqua gym class and I've got a medical appointment and a course booked so it could be either an excellent day calory wise or terrible if too tempted by the food offer around the learning Centre /hospital
Wish me luck
Have a successful day people

Howlongtillbedtime · 06/06/2019 07:36

Morning

My plan today is soup at lunch and fish for dinner.
I am also going to try and get to the gym after work.

I nearly fell of the wagon yesterday , I came in from work hungry and couldn't resist crisps and toast which is not great. But instead of letting that be the beginning of failing I skipped dinner so my cals were just under on the day. Not the most nutritious of meals but at least I didn't give up I guess.

Does anyone else find they get hungrier if they eat breakfast ? I have noticed if I skip breakfast then I just have a small snack at 11 and then lunch at 1 but if I eat breakfast I feel starving by 11 .

LeukaeLucky · 06/06/2019 07:55

Completely agree @Howlongtillbedtime that's why I try to push my bf time to as late as possible which is not something everyone can do but I've got the flexibility to do so and it helps a lot.

Wellthatwastricky · 06/06/2019 08:06

Morning

Well done on all the losses!

Cricket, I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating with your sister, that sounds like a fab lunch.

Still not well, so won't be pushing myself today. Food plans are:

Lunch: falafel with fat free yoghurt and salad
Dinner: if I can be bothered I'm making a chickpea and cauliflower curry. If it turns out I can't it will probably be a fish finger sandwich Blush
Snacks: rice cake and chocolate

I also prefer not to have breakfast. It makes me hungrier and makes it harder to keep to my calories. I'm not really going 16:8 but do roughly try to stick to that. I save 80% of my calories for the evening as that's when I'm most likely to mess up otherwise. It means I can have a pretty hearty dinner and a sweet treat and not have over eaten. Seems to be working for me but if / when I plateau I will reconsider!

Howlongtillbedtime · 06/06/2019 08:12

Glad I am not the only one. I have been told all my life that breakfast is the most important meal of the day so it feels like I am doing something 'bad' skipping it .

cricket your day sounds amazing . And much needed after the week you have had. I hope you have a fab time.

Lookingforpizza · 06/06/2019 08:15

Morning all! Hope you’re all well

Been really good at sticking to plan this week so just need to keep up the good work.

Today’s food:
B: Alpen and yoghurt
L: Chicken salad
D: Leftover prawn curry with sweet potato
Snacks: Babybel light, I’ve got my book club tonight so going to go alcohol free and try not to have too many nibbles!

Hoping to squeeze a run in at the end of the day as well.

Good luck all - keep going! Grin

SalemSpellman · 06/06/2019 09:24

I would like to join to. I'm currently 11st 8. Would like to get down to 11 by the end of the month. I started the year so well but then my health has been bad.

I need to start 10k steps a day, a little difficult for me at the moment as I have a perforated ear drum!

Saladforsantorini · 06/06/2019 09:41

Morning!
Have a great birthday lunch @cricketmum84
Not looking at the scales now until Sunday evening as I’ve been having a cheeky look every day and I don’t want to get obsessed..too late?

Yesterday was going so well until I opened a bag of pop chips while watching love island.

Today’s food:
B - Cinnamon porridge pot + 1tbs peanut butter + half an apple
Snack - 2 strawberries
L - Chicken salad
D - Lean Turkey burger (no bun) and homemade sweet potato fries
Water - 2.5 litres

Good luck to everyone as we head into the weekend Grin

Crazzzycat · 06/06/2019 10:03

cricketmum IBS causes my weight to fluctuate hugely. I’m 3 lbs heavier today than I was yesterday, in spite of not eating much at all. Could something similar be going on with you?

Either way, I hope you have a great time celebrating your birthday!

I’m planning to take it very easy today. I didn’t get much sleep at all last night because of severe stomach cramps, so my manager sent me home. Bless him! I might try a slow stroll later today if I’m up to it. Sometimes a bit of exercise makes a difference. But for now, I’m going to catch up on some sleep!

DirtyDennis · 06/06/2019 10:39

Hi,
Sorry I'm late to the party. Can I join, please?

I started another thread before being directed here thread

I want to lose 7lbs in 5 weeks (well, 4 weeks now), ending the diet on Saturday 6th July. I'm not sure I'll weight myself this weekend (a week after the start of the diet) because I'll have period water retention and might not see much change. I'll weigh myself next week though.

So far, it's going okay but I haven't quite managed to stick to 1250 cals per day as I intended - my max. has been 1450 though so not too bad.
Today's meal plan:
B: Cornflakes (110 cals)
L: Quinoa salad thing (360 cal)
D: Veggie one-pot (400 cal)
Snacks: Biscuits (200 cal)
Others: Tea with oat milk (100 cal max.)

I've also walked just shy of 2 miles this morning so that's about 120 calories off.

peanutbutterismydownfall · 06/06/2019 10:43

I had a sneaky peak this morning and was disappointed to see no change at all. Whilst the last couple of days haven't been great, when I get my period I tend to lose the couple of pounds of water weight I've put on in the lead up to it. Oh well, that will spur me on to be disciplined today & tomorrow.
I'm not sure about breakfast. I can go without it but am sometimes then so ravenous at lunchtime that I eat loads and loads then. There's also the problem where I work that you can often work through lunch without a break and, by the time I surface from meetings at 3pm, there is no longer anywhere to get food without heading off in the car & going into the local town so I raid the vending machine which only sells chocolates & crisps.

Millie2018 · 06/06/2019 11:46

Morning all
I have breakfast early with the kids. It’s 2 wheetabix and fruit, nothing else though. If I get hungry before lunch I have fruit. Eating a lot of fruit at the moment. Feeling stressed with the kids today, it will try and stay on track. Got a Zumba class tonight where I will let off some steam.
Have an awesome day Cricket and all.

ImpossibleNovelty · 06/06/2019 12:39

Happy Thursday all! I’m back from my conference and finally in charge of my own food after a week of eating out Smile So it’s a lovely big smoked salmon and advocado salad lunch for me. Dinner is TBC but something low carb and full of veg hopefully. I’ve missed proper veg and salad so much! I hope everyone is having a great day so far.

cricketmum84 · 06/06/2019 15:15

Omg I am so full! Gorgeous veggie platter

Half a stone off (or 3kg) in June
OP posts:
LeukaeLucky · 06/06/2019 16:19

Bf was nesquick cereals (50g) 185cal
Lunch was rocket and tomatoes + Spanish omelette + bread
1 mini Vienna
Dinner will probably be fruits

Fluffiest · 06/06/2019 17:07

I really meant to say "rice box, please" at the KFC at the service station today, but instead I said "megabox". Blush And then I went back to the counter when they forgot the gravy. I have no self control when it comes to KFC!

But now I'm at our destination I have pushed myself to go for a run. It was much better than yesterday's. There's a big family meal at the hotel tonight but I'm going to try and just have soup or a salad. And no drinking. They'll be plenty of that at the wedding tomorrow!
