Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

@cricketmum84 turtle bay is the best!

1lb down this morning so I’m back to 17st 6 and the 3lbs I gained at the wedding over the weekend are all gone. Having a girly night in with pizza tonight but have eaten carefully today so it’s still under 1600 calories total (impressed with people eating 1200! I could never keep that up!)

Lookingforpizza · 06/06/2019 18:50

Hope you enjoyed your birthday lunch @cricket! Forgot to say in my earlier post!

ImpossibleNovelty · 06/06/2019 19:14

Wow cricketmum that looks lovely! What a treat. I have food envy Grin

BrillyPribble · 06/06/2019 19:17

Totally given up for today! Sick DH and sick DC, so much running around I'm knackered. Had salad for lunch but since then have eaten a load of pistachios and biscuits. 🤦‍♀️ still, tomorrow is another day!

cricketmum84 · 06/06/2019 20:27

Oh it was really delicious. I had okra for the first time and it was very good. Also lots of cocktails including 2 free ones each that the waiter brought out after my sister told him it was my birthday (hic!).

Apart from an iced coconut latte this morning that's the only thing I've had all day so hopefully I've limited the damage a little bit!

I caved and had a raspberry Magnum. To be fair it was delicious and I enjoyed every second of it. Feel free to smug away if you've been good!

B: porridge with almonds, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, grated carrot and a smidge of honey
L: quinoa with spinach and za'atar spices, roast sweet potato and carrots
D: chilli black beans
Snacks: celery, Magnum

I am looking forward to a beef stir fry this weekend.

cricketmum84 · 06/06/2019 22:07

@Howlongtillbedtime yes I'm always famished if I eat an early breakfast, it kick starts your metabolism though so you are burning more calories I think.

I tend to have 2 pints of water before setting off to work, a coffee when I get there and then we have a free fruit delivery so I have either a banana and a satsuma around 10.30 which puts me on until lunch.

@Crazzzycat yes probably so. I've noticed a huge reduction in IBS symptoms since I cut out meat and dairy but it's still very much triggered by stress. I've had a painful few days with a lot of bloating and (ahem) loo runs, everything feels very inflamed and sore.

I'm not going to weigh again until next week so hopefully it settles down!

@Fluffiest I'm sorry but that really made me lol 😂😂 it's like when I accidentally buy a vegan roll at Greggs instead of the fruit salad... one minute I'm walking in with the best of intentions repeating "one tropical fruit salad please" in my head and the next I'm stood outside clutching that crusty, salty, fatty roll.

I have stuck to my promise thought and not had one this month yet!

Welcome @DirtyDennis and good luck! We can do this :)

Well. I've had a bad winey week, pie and chips last night and carbonara tonight. Albeit normal humans' portions rather than grunty ones. Just weighed and the scales just post dinner said 13st 0-5/8lb. That actually bodes well for 5.30am tomoz.

Waves. Well done you bunch of losers Grin

HippoHips · 06/06/2019 22:48

Well I’ve gone to bed every night this week vowing to ‘start properly tomorrow’. My willpower is non existent. I catch sight of my jowls and belly and become obsessed with dieting for about an hour. I google every weight loss tip I can find. Then I get bored and demoralised, head to the fridge, and scoff a chocolate mousse Blush

Bringonspring · 06/06/2019 23:02

Hippohips-have you thought about a weight loss group? It’s really hard to do it on your own

cricketmum84 · 06/06/2019 23:03

@HippoHips tomorrow is a whole new day. Fail to plan and you plan to fail. Sort a meal plan out for the day and go out and buy some healthy foods to replace the temptations.

You can do this. I believe in you 100% xx

Glad you’ve had a nice day OP.

Weigh in day for me tomorrow! Fingers crossed there’s movement in the right direction. I’m almost in the next stone (where my ideal weight is)...

peanutbutterismydownfall · 07/06/2019 00:06

Cricket - that looks delicious. I veggie restaurant has just opened near us and I am very exciting about trying it. Going with friends rather than DH as he'd just try & smuggle a steak in!

I had a good day today. An hour of Pilates (zero calories burned but I felt better) & another of Zumba (hopefully some calories burned). The good thing about Zumba was that it meant I was out from 7.15 - 8.45. I didn't have time to eat beforehand and persuaded myself I didn't need to afterwards so I've only eaten about 750 cals today.

HippoHips · 07/06/2019 00:15

Thank you bringonspring and cricketmum. I think you’re both right and I need to just make myself accountable. I’m going to dust off my ‘My Fitness Pal’ login and start listing what I eat. It might be a very long list Grin Have a wonderful birthday cricket. The restaurant sounds delicious!! Xx

PeoniesandPiriton · 07/06/2019 00:47

Hi,

Very late to the party but please may I join you lovely lot?

Starting weight 14 stone.

Pinkvici22 · 07/06/2019 06:39

Just had a weigh in...and I stayed the bloody same! I’m gutted Sad

I’m only 6lbs off target and really wanted to get there in time for my holiday, but I’ve only got 2 weeks.

Off out tonight and tomorrow so will do my very best to be sensible! Been to gym this morning so it’s a start.

Howlongtillbedtime · 07/06/2019 07:23

Good morning.

Weighed this morning and I have lost 3 pounds . Happy with that. I am trying really hard not to keep thinking about the 3 stone I have to lose and to just look at the next few pounds.

The weekend could be a challenge , we are out later I think and we have a friend staying over tomorrow. So booze and snacks would normally be high on the agenda. I'm thinking no snacks , nice dinner and him rather than wine.

My plan today is
Soup for lunch with toast
Omelette and sweet pot chips for dinner
Snacks will be fruit and a couple of gins no doubt.

Unsure about the gym as I have a phone coming today so will depend on delivery times .

I hope everyone has a good day!

cricketmum84 · 07/06/2019 07:36

Good morning all and welcome to

❤️ Day 7 ❤️

Welcome to any new joiners since yesterday, we are a friendly bunch so please make yourself comfortable :)

It's my birthday today!!! I've been spoilt with lovely goodies and DH is nipping to Costa after he's dropped the kids off at school to bring home my favourite iced coconut milk latte. We are heading up to a lovely pub later this morning that's right next to the airport runway so I can go full on geek and try out my new zoom lens for my canon camera. Then its Chinese takeaway (salt and pepper tofu with veggie noodles) and Prosecco! He's also bought me a vegan recipe book that I wanted so I'm looking forward to trying it some new recipes over the next few weeks!

Hope everyone has a lovely lovely day. I noticed that a few of us tend to be a bit down on ourselves when we haven't had the best of days so I'll just leave this here for you.

You are all amazing!

I well and truly fell off the wagon last night. Lots of snacks and chocolate for tea. Today is a new day and hopefully I will start seeing some loss in the next week. Lots going on at work so lots of room for movement. Dust off the exercise bike I think...

Mum7777 · 07/06/2019 07:37

Happy birthday cricket
