Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Morning, no change for me today, but happy to have maintained. I didn't move around yesterday as much as I should have done, so will make up for that today with a run.

Yesterday I had:
Morrisons lighter cooked breakfast
Leek and potato soup
Ham and avocado salad

So far I'm proudest of avoiding the snacks, that's most unlike me. But it's all going to be put to the test at the end of the week, got a wedding, then we are off on holiday. I've decided to take the scales with me. I don't want to stop my progress!

On the plus side, if I maintain at 10st I will have lost 6lbs since my last bridesmaids dress fitting!

waveygravy · 05/06/2019 08:54

Morning all, loving the meal ideas. Am plugging away on 1200 calories with My fitness Pal, hats off to those eating even less than 1200!

Monday 78.0
Today 77.3
Pleased but know from past experience that stopping the overeating gives fast results that then stall and I get demotivated.

Newstart40 · 05/06/2019 09:39

Cheeky mid week weigh in shows a 3lb loss so far. I'm ecstatic. Have just literally dropped white carbs and junk but eating protein, veg & fat. Consciously trying to drink some water and avoid the crisp cupboard. Long may this loss last!

Lookingforpizza · 05/06/2019 10:12

Morning all! Feeling pretty good after being back on track for a few days and starting to notice small daily losses again. Today’s food:

B: Alpen and yoghurt
L: Turkey chunks with salad
D: haven’t decided, I really fancy prawns but not sure what to do with them.
Snacks: Latte, babybel light, hot chocolate and Maltesers.

Depending on what I have for dinner I’ll be around 1300 - 1500 for the day.

Planning to be as healthy as possible for the next few days as I am going out for a fancy lunch on Sunday and want to enjoy it Grin

Hope everyone is getting on okay! Keep up the good work all :)

Saladforsantorini · 05/06/2019 10:30

Morning everyone! Smile
Scales this morning are saying 9st 5lbs so 1lbs loss since I weighed myself after the weekend disaster...I expected it would be easy to get to 2lbs off. I reckon I will get stuck at 9st 4lb again! Will be attempting to have a good weekend.
Today’s food (1,200 cals)
B - Bacon medallions (grilled) and 2 large eggs scrambled using fry lite.
L - Chicken salad (salad leaves, cherry tomato and cucumber)
Snack - skyr yoghurt and an easy peeler
D - Turkey mince burger with homemade sweet potato fries
Would like to reach 2.5l of water today also...we’ll see and will he going to the gym for a class.

OhTheRoses · 05/06/2019 10:52

After my grumbly post a colleague called out this morning "have you lost some weight?" Grin

Morning all! I had a good day food-wise yesterday, but only because my IBS is flaring up with a vengeance. So, I just don’t feel like eating at all 😢

At least I’m used to low calorie living these days, so I still managed to exercise. 40 minutes on the cross trainer yesterday and a lovely 45 minute walk this morning.

Congrats to those who are already seeing losses! I too had a sneaky peak, but I’m not sharing anything yet. The number was so low that I don’t believe it to be a real loss. Still, always nice to see the scales going down Smile

LooseAtTheSeams · 05/06/2019 11:34

Appear to have lost 1lb but a bit suspicious! Still it is very motivating. Will be interesting to see if I can lose 2lbs by the end of the week.

ImpossibleNovelty · 05/06/2019 11:45

Away at a conference so another flying visit for accountability. So much tempting food and drink but managed to skip most of the really carby stuff so far. Well done to everyone with early losses so far, very inspiring!

snooksmcgee · 05/06/2019 12:45

Food for today:
B - Porridge pot with added raisins
L - Pitta Bread with lean roast beef
D - Burger (griddled and without bun) new potatoes and salad

Well done on losses everyone

Lookingforpizza · 05/06/2019 14:16

Decided I am craving curry so going to make a cheats prawn curry tonight and serve with a sweet potato - it’ll be around 550 calories. I just have prawns, a pepper, mushrooms, onions, a curry paste pot, reduced fat coconut milk and some extra hot chilli powder. That’ll do for two nights of dinners. Quite excited to make it now Grin

Debating whether I fancy a quick outdoors run when I get home from work...

Fluffiest · 05/06/2019 14:49

Just had a really naff run. I normally go in the evening but since I'm off work thought I'd get it out the way now. There's too many people about in my Park, my thumbs kept catching in my waterproof and I just lost motivation. I walked more than I ran. Oh well, lesson learnt. I'm sticking to my routine from now on.

Going to get back out of my funk this afternoon by packing for the holiday. Smile

Saladforsantorini · 05/06/2019 15:06

@fluffiest a naff run is better than no run! I had a terrible gym session last night, could barely keep up with the class, ending up doing 1/2 the reps I usually would. Keep going, where are you off on holiday?

Fluffiest · 05/06/2019 15:25

Thanks salad, you're right. I keep trying to say that my something is better than my nothing. And same for you, 1/2 reps better than no reps.

We are off to Whitby, I've not been since I was a child. Can't wait to be on the beach with DD. Don't care what the weather is, I love seeing the sea!

peanutbutterismydownfall · 05/06/2019 15:26

Working from home on a day when you haven't slept well & have got your period is not good!
Food so far has been a porridge pot with water and a tsp of yogurt (much prefer that combo to having it with milk), two toasted bagels with butter & banana and a smear of honey for lunch and a digestive dunked in a cup of tea as well as a load of cherry tomatoes and half a cucumber whilst I tried to persuade myself I didn't really want a digestive just now. So I only have 229 cals left todayBlush. I think the aim will be to consume as few additional calories as possible and avoid both my Easter egg and the chocolate orange that I bought DH last night.

Who asked about food ideas for 500cal days? I did 5:2 for 18mths or so but never managed to go as low as 500 cals. I usually came in at around 650.

MercuryRising · 05/06/2019 16:48

I need to catch up with the thread but I thought I would pop by to record that I have lost 1 pound this week. I'm off for my second run of the week this evening and have started using my fitness pal today so hopefully I will achieve a bigger loss next week.

Jeds55 · 05/06/2019 17:04

Well done on losses so far all, glad it's not just me that can't resist a mid week peak at the scales.
Have been good yesterday and today (so far). No run today though and doubt I'll fit one in now. Will have to go tomorrow evening instead.
Hood luck all

LeukaeLucky · 05/06/2019 17:14

It was me @peanutbutterismydownfall I hit almost 700 yesterday so did poorly 😭 but if you have any idea, happy to take some notes

mrsed1987 · 05/06/2019 17:21

Evening everyone. I weighed myself this morning as my sw app insisted and seem to have lost 2lb already! Hopefully i will keep that off till my next official weigh in which will be next wednesday!

Yesturday and today ive walked to the local shopping centre which is 40 mins walk. I also have stayed under syns.

lemonbalmtea · 05/06/2019 19:40

Lost a pound so far this week. Done one run and a short stint at the gym.

cricketmum84 · 05/06/2019 19:44

Wow some fantastic losses coming in so early in the month! Well done to all!

Welcome to the newcomers and welcome back @edwardson ❤️

@Fluffiest oh I love Whitby! I am a Yorkshire girl so it holds a special place in my heart :) I'm sure you will get plenty of walking in up and down the hills to keep you on track! Lol!

@OhTheRoses It's so satisfying when someone notices you have lost weight isn't it!

@Crazzzycat Oh god IBS has my life right now. It's actually been a lot better since I cut out animal products, however it's also triggered by stress with me and after the events of the last few days my stomach feels like crap. It really affects my appetite too as I can't bear to eat because within 30 mins I am on the loo.

Riddlediddle · 05/06/2019 19:56

Please may I join? I'm currently 10stone 11lbs and want to get down to just below 10 stone so about a stone to lose. I'm using my fitness pal for my 1200 calorie limit per day plus adding in a bit of exercise. My aim is for a 1.5lb weight loss per week which i feel is realistic. Im on holiday in mid August so just want to not have to wobble all over the place when I'm in my swimsuit by the pool!

Skinnywish1 · 05/06/2019 20:07

I have failed miserably today little uns bday and hubby had prepared a tea party for when we got in. I've eaten food I'm allergic to. I have no will power even when I know the pain I will be in. I will be looking 9 months preggers for the next week now. So so stupid

Moominfan · 05/06/2019 20:35

Not a (good day. Made a roast and ate plenty whilst preparing it. Two huge helpings followed by ice cream. Back on it tomorrow!
