I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.
Anyone fancy joining me?

Morning all!

@Seer brunch is a good way to keep calories down anyway as your effectively missing a meal. Choose wise and you'll be ok!

Working again today. So will take a walk during my break

B- Vanilla and almond milk shake, cuppa

L- summer berries and cherries, and a shop bought shake.

D- Roast chicken breast, pitta and salad

Seer · 15/08/2019 16:18

You're right @DottieLottie1 technically it should be two meals in one but see my food plan below 🤦🏻‍♀️

Had a nice meeting over brunch anyway, basically I've agreed to write a monthly column for our local newspaper, which'll be a little different to the other types of stuff I do (which I can't go into because it would be too outing 😀)

Brunch: avo on sourdough (was yum!)
Lunch: (I know, i know! I was out with family and couldn't avoid it!) baked potato with beans and v cheese
Dinner: will have the rest of my veg soup which is super low in calories.

Should be under 1100 cals for the delay despite having 3 meals!

Currently relaxing in the sun before walking the dogs, kettlebells etc

All ok there @TantricTwist?

DottieLottie1 · 15/08/2019 21:05

@Seer our little independent coffee shop does a great avocado on sourdough- I wonder if it's the same place? Smile I love avocado but it's so high on calories! 1100 including 2 meals out sounds like a job well done.

DottieLottie1 · 16/08/2019 07:48

Morning Smile

Hmmmm, plans for tonight's dinner look scuppered once more! We were planning on a BBQ, but for the 3rd week running it looks like rain is our enemy. Ovened bbq it is!

B- fast/ cuppa
L- Berries & Cherries
D- Medallion Steak, chicken wings, Chorizo, Corn and salad

Add a few glasses of Prosecco and it will make it around 1000 cals for the day.

No plans as such for today other than working!

Have a nice day all Smile

Seer · 16/08/2019 08:58

Morning!

It's not been great BBQ weather given it's August, has it @DottieLottie1 ? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not up to much this morning except making the children pancakes for breakfast and trying to avoid eating any myself!

Meeting a friend and her children this afternoon.

B: fast for 18 hours
L: will eat light (soup or salad)
D: Indian takeaway and some wine

Will be between 1200-1500 cals depending on the wine!

TantricTwist · 16/08/2019 12:11

Morning everyone Smile. I've just been so tired and sleeping a lot of the time. My dentist appt got cancelled this morning so luckily they could fit me in this afternoon with a dentist woh is not off ill.

I havent been eating much so I'd say I'm around 1000 - 1200 mark. Need to update MFP.

I will read through thread in a minute.

TantricTwist · 16/08/2019 13:19

Congrats @Seer on your newspaper column.

I love Avo on toast, I discovered it in New Zealand 19 years ago where they also add tomato slices and a squeeze of lemon is a must with a sprinkling of salt.

You'll both be delighted to know that dog walkers are some of our fittest patients. It can keep the physiology of your body 20 years younger because it's such regular exercise. We have 80 year olds with the physiology of a 65 year old for example who recover so much quicker than say a 43 year old who smokes 20 a day who may not recover at all. Heavy smokers come off a lot worse than heavy drinkers although of course neither is good.

Seer · 16/08/2019 15:28

Thank you @TantricTwist ! I hope your appt goes well this afternoon Thanks

That's really good to know re dog walking and also smoking! Maybe dog walking's one of those things you really see the benefits of in the long term rather than when you're younger.

I'm about to get rid of my first item of clothing because I'm now too small for it!

It's a pair of size 12 jeggings that I was living in until recently! I went to wear them earlier and they looked terrible - so shapeless and baggy. I suspect it's that they're stretched than they're a size 12 btw but it still feels like a meaningful milestone!

I'm now wearing a different pair of size 12 jeggings that I bought in June - they were on the tight side when I bought them but they're now a perfect fit. I think they'll be fine even if I lose a bit more (I hope so because I bought 3 pairs/2 colours!)

Have done kettlebells and cleaned the house (with help from the DCs!) as the cleaner cancelled this week. Now about to take the dogs out despite the non-stop rain 😬

TantricTwist · 16/08/2019 17:54

I have eaten nothing all day, I felt a bit hungry earlier but it's passed. My tooth has been pulled out, it had broken in half Shock My mouth is now completely numb. I popped into Waitrose and bought some cold soft food - yoghurt and cottage cheese. I can't even have a cup of tea Brew I bought some nicer food to have when I can chew again. It's pissing down with rain here.
I did manage to pick up a dress from Zara I bought. I had a browse online because I wanted to look at that white spotty dress that everyone seems to be wearing (although not where I live) and they had loads of dress online. They had some gorgeous items in the shop - wish I'd gone back after the dentist but I felt quite woozy.

TantricTwist · 16/08/2019 18:17

I didn't have time to try the dress on in the shop. It fits but is a bit tight round my bust. I really love it though so I'm going to keep it - hopefully I'll lose the couple of inches for it to fit better. I'll wear my sports bra with it as it squashes everything flat ConfusedGrin

TantricTwist · 16/08/2019 22:06

I had a lovely dinner of strawberries, Fage 0% yoghurt and maple syrup.

DottieLottie1 · 16/08/2019 22:37

Hi @TantricTwist , was it "that" Zara dress? On me it would definitely look hideous 😬

TantricTwist · 16/08/2019 23:39

@Seer no I did not buy 'that' Zara dress but a totally different one whilst browsing online. I think the white spotty one wouldn't suit me at all either.

DottieLottie1 · 17/08/2019 10:00

Off to work shortly, working through lunch to early evening.

Saturday = Takeaway so probably the chippy and washed down with a belated birthday present of English fizz.

Calories won't be too high but most probably around 1500.

Have a good day all
Smile

TantricTwist · 17/08/2019 10:10

@DottieLottie1 have a good day and happy belated birthday Smile

I've lost an inch off my waist so far which is great. I'm still on soft cold food so currently tucking into Fage 0% yoghurt and maple syrup and waiting for my coffee to go cold. I draw the line at drinking cold tea.

L - omlette maybe not sure yet.

TantricTwist · 17/08/2019 13:41

I had some delicious prawns in lime, soy and mirin from Waitrose for lunch just now. The precursor to my salt water rinse in a while.

How's is going at work @DottieLottie1*
and how's your day so far @Seer

I'm hoping my stomach will shrink so I'll need less to fill it.Hmm

I'm not convinced it's ideal keeping a dress that's too tight around the bust? Confused

Am I likely to lose enough around the back and front to warrant keeping it? It does button down at the front giving extra space but then I'd have to wear something beneath it which might look odd.

Any suggestions welcome? Smile

TantricTwist · 17/08/2019 13:43

I'm measuring my bust line to keep an eye on things

Seer · 17/08/2019 16:07

Happy belated birthday @DottieLottie1 🥳

Your poor tooth @TantricTwist! It sounds like you're making the most of not being able to eat much tho!

I probably wouldn't keep something that was tight around the bust. Depending on your body composition you may or may not lose/put on weight there. I don't tend to change that much, I'm fairly big oop top no matter the size of the rest of me!

Lazy day here: had a lie in, a long bath, and now reading in the sunshine ☺️

B: v bacon, two potato waffles, cherry tomatoes (bizarrely the waffles are less cals than bread)
L: a snack of carrot batons, hummus, black olives and half a vegan cupcake my dh bought me (sweet of him but annoying for me!)
D: a TV dinner of v hotdogs, potato wedges (from homegrown potatoes!) and corn

I think it'll be around 1400 cals including a couple of glasses of pink fizz that needs using up 😉

Done kettle bells (I'm in love with them!) and will walk the dogs shortly

Hope you both have a lovely day ☺️

Seer · 17/08/2019 16:10

I'm inching (geddit? ☺️) closer towards 30" waist (I'm just under 30.5" now). That seemed like a distant dream only 3 months ago!

TantricTwist · 17/08/2019 16:57

@Seer Sadly that's what I think. I'll return it on Monday on the way to work as I have a late start. Well it was nice to own it for a while Grin

Seer · 17/08/2019 17:58

@TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 I've just started a new thread as we're getting close to this ones max (that's a lot of chatting!)

It's called "The one where we get into our old jeans" because I think we will hopefully all be at least close to our goal weight/size by the time we finish that new thread!

Hope that's OK ☺️

Seer · 17/08/2019 18:02

That's a shame about the dress @TantricTwist but it will be more annoying to hang onto it and never really fit it well

It's fab to be buying new things again tho isn't it? I'm getting such a thrill every time I buy a new item lately!

I'm trying to be sensible and buy things that should still fit fine even if I'm an inch or so smaller (which is probably the smallest I'll be)

DottieLottie1 · 17/08/2019 18:23

Thanks for the belated birthday wishes!

I work weds-sat but compressed hours. My work uniform is extremely loose but I don't want to order a new one until I've reached my goal. I have to dress relatively scantily for work (sportswear, nothing dodgy promise ), as I'm you can see the contours of my body. Still no one has noticed!!!

@TantricTwist , my boobs shrink/grow with weight change but as @Seer said we are not all the same.

Have a good Saturday Smile

TantricTwist · 17/08/2019 20:33

Ooo err misses @DottieLottie1 Grin

Thanks for the new thread @Seer which I've added to my watch list.

Well I have 30 days to return it so plenty of time to see if it fits before then.

Seer · 18/08/2019 10:01

Morning!

Shopping trip to Cambridge today to buy holiday things ☺️

Have decided to fast this morning which is rare for a Sunday but I could manage it as dh didn't fancy a big breakfast together and works well as we'll be having a big lunch.

B: fasting (for 17 hours)
L: Wagamamas! 🙌 Not sure yet what I'll have but probably some kind of ramen and the dumplings. Bloody love Wagamamas! I'm not going to restrain myself as I want to enjoy eating whatever I want!
D: a small snack if I need one

Aiming for 1200 cals max.

What are your plans @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1?
