Hi ladies all good here. Day 10 and I am in the swing of things now I think, I'm still having tired moments though. I had my weigh in on Friday (day 9) and lost 10 1/2 llbs which was a shock as I personally couldn't see any changes on my body. I'll have to look out for the bean nibbles Jojoe16. I am loving the Oriental soup, ready made chocolate milkshakes and the strawberry and apple bars. I tried the Thai noodles last night and found it to be quite pleasant. Spicy cous cous tonight. I'm already starting to think of ways of how I am going to maintain and what recipes to follow, so any tips ladies please let me know :)

Hi everyone,

Mind if I join you?

Got my initial consultation today... what was everyone's experience in terms of when they were able to start the plan - right away or will I have to wait for the shakes/meals to be ordered in?

I'm so ready for this. My brain keeps telling me "but you have loads of Exante products in your cupboard, you could save a fortune by doing it alone" but the reality is - after about 100 "oh well, I will start again tomorrows" - that I clearly can't.

Jojoe16 · 14/01/2020 15:43

Hi there 2under2survivor
I'm sure you wont regret taking the leap, you dont have to wait for products to be ordered, and can start straight awaySmile

Good luck and keep us updated

Jojoe16 · 14/01/2020 15:47

Hi Guys been looking for a group for people on Cambridge 1:1 for support and motivation .... I done this diet a few years ago and managed to lose nearly four stone in 9 weeks but I then gave up smoking and put the weight back on and then started smoking again! I tried a couple of times to stick to plan last year but failed, I think maybe due to being wrong time of year... I find January a good time to start as Xmas is over and I’ve overindulged too much haha having spoken to my GP they advised to concentrate on losing weight before giving up smoking so I went to see my consultant again on Saturday.... got weighed (blind) and had an amazing Thai meal for ‘the last supper’ and I have stuck to the plan since Sunday. I’m doing step two which is what I done the last time as I find this easier to stick to. I have three products a day and a 200kcal meal ... I’ve been using the spag bols (i usually add chilli powder and tobacco) so it’s more like a chilli ... I’m now trying the cottage pie it’s kind of like instant mash with gravy ... and festive bars and caramel bites. For my meals I’m pretty much sticking to the same thing every night .... 5% fat steak mince with a few sprays of fry light tiny amount of frozen chopped onion, garlic powder.. paprika herbs and fresh frozen chilli’s ... (may have guessed I like spicy food ) I pretty much stuck to this religiously last time and it worked well ... I did get a little creative though tonight and used the Cambridge cottage pie on top of the Mince to create ... an actual cottage pie 😊... and it was so filling washed down with a 7up free. Got my first weigh in on Saturday so will only be 6 days in but will being first week I’m hoping for a good loss :)

Hi is anyone still on this thread? Xx

Yoyoyum · 19/01/2020 22:43

Hi I'm new just joined 1:1 it's my 2nd day on stage 3 and can't wait to lose £££Smile

Slim4ever65 · 20/01/2020 19:39

Hi everyone, had my consultation today and got my packs. Start tomorrow xx

QueenietheCutie · 21/01/2020 12:32

I'm still on the thread. Just done week 11 weigh in and lost another 4 lbs. Pleased because weekly loss had slowed down but most pleased because I reached 3 stones off!! Still more to go but feeling properly energised and focussed again!!

TQY87 · 22/01/2020 00:34

So I had my first weigh in on Saturday and lost 8lbs Grin I did have a bit of cheat day Saturday (weigh day) I had a low carb wrap with chicken and low-fat mayo with a bit of cheese. But been on plan since .... drinking diet drinks like mad .... I’m finding I’m not often hungry now and I have skipped a few products unintentionally.... but I have been eating the same meal every day in the evening not sure what my weight loss will
Be this week worried that missing the products will slow my metabolism down... queenie that’s amazing! The first time I done Cambridge my weight slowed down to 3-4lbs a week I found sometimes adding some extra food helped ... I used liv life bread which I brought from Waitrose as it’s very low carb bread only used to have a couple of slices on weigh day (once I’d been weighed of course) What plan are you on queenie? 😀

QueenietheCutie · 22/01/2020 10:40

Well done on 8lbs off @TQY87 that's excellent!
I am on Step 1b, 10 lbs more to go before I move to Step 2 (based on my BMI). I have a lot to lose so am in it for the long game.
Although I have occasionally snapped and eaten a Step 2 style meal when I can bear the diet "gloop" no longer!
In the main now I am in the swing of it I am finding it ok and am loving noticing the surprising changes that come with weight loss.
I am a very private person generally but am now having to get used to comments and compliments as people are starting to notice, i find it a bit hard to respond to!

Noushy · 03/02/2020 13:02

Hi everyone, I had my consultation ton Sat and got my packs. Started today. Need to lose 2 Stone in 8 weeks and I am on Step 1A with 3 products.
Is this achievable or am I just setting too high expectation for myself?

QueenietheCutie · 04/02/2020 17:32

Hi @Noushy it is indeed perfectly possible to lose 2 stone in 8 weeks. You need to absolutely stick to the plan and no cheats etc but yes it is entirely possible.
How have you found the products so far?

Noushy · 04/02/2020 17:54

Hi @QueenietheCutie
Thank you for your reply. Glad you are still active on this thread :)
I quite like them (well as much as you can like diet food 😂).
I'm having a bar for breakfast, Soup for lunch and one meal for dinner. I guess compare to the bar and soup the meal are very small portion 😢.
I have 2 stone to lose and need to lose it by April. If I stick to Step 1A, 1B will it be possible? xx

QueenietheCutie · 04/02/2020 18:31

I have just finished step1B, so four products a day and I have lost three and a half stone in 13 weeks. When I first joined I was sceptical about the "lose one stone a month" claim but have found it to be true.
It really does test your will power though, but I found the weight loss such a motivation Smile
Like you I have stuck to a bar for breakfast, a soup for lunch then a "meal" (hahaha!) in the evening. Not going to lie but after 13 weeks I have completely gone off the meals so am pleased to now be moving on to much more normal food in the evening.
My biggest tip is definitely to keep drinking, you really do need to! (I seem to spend half my day going off to the loo!)

JessieBee1 · 19/02/2020 08:37

Hi.

I am very interested in doing the 1:1 diet, however i have spoken to several people and am concenred thay 600 calories a day is not a lot and could be detrimental to the health. I was wondering with such a diet, how you keep the weight off once youve completed your weight goal? Thank you

QueenietheCutie · 19/02/2020 15:16

Hi @JessieBee1
I wrote a long reply to you this morning but it seems to have disappeared!
The diet runs across 6 steps and yes the first steps are very low calorie. But you don't necessarily start on step 1 or 2. Your consultant will help you work out which is best for you, your lifestyle and your weight loss requirements.
Once on the plan you then work through the steps to step 6 which is maintenance. As you work through the steps you rely less on their products and more on your own cooking and planning. It teaches you to get portion size and calorie amounts right.
I have found it to be about re-education and my relationship with food as much as the loss itself.
Then by the time you reach step 6 you have learnt the way to maintain the loss which will hopefully stop it piling back on.
It is very hard but I have found it to be the diet that works for me
Happy to answer any questions if you have them (I'm not a consultant btw, just a happy user of the diet!)

JessieBee1 · 19/02/2020 18:08

Thank you. My parents and my friends are telling me not to do it. But I'm so depressed at my body. I have been exercising the last couple of weeks and I haven't seen a difference and it's just affecting me at the moment. I just think I need to do it and go from there.

QueenietheCutie · 19/02/2020 20:50

I was also very miserable about my body and found it hard to face up to the reality of how much weight I had put on over the years. Depression and anxiety had a lot to do with how I ended up so overweight.
One of the reasons that the diet works so well for me is spending one to one time with the consultant each week. To me it feels like dieting with therapy, she's a great help and support.
I would highly recommend going to speak to your local Cambridge consultant just to discuss how it works and what they would recommend.
Good luck!

Maddison3005 · 27/02/2020 12:23

Hi All,

I'm on week two, day 10 day. I weighed in on day 6 and lost 9 pounds + 5.5 inches.

Been going well, but have struggled yesterday afternoon and this morning. I usually have 2 shakes (one into Mouss) and then a ''meal'' in the evening. But am now struggling with the two shakes - i just cant stomach it!!!

i did make some of the ''sweets'' yesterday and have a bowl in the fridge for when im making dinners for the others in the evening.

Ice cubes are my life saver at the moment - i have used water flavours for ice cubes and have them in the evening to help with the horrible taste in my mouth!!

any top tips are welcome :) x

lea158 · 01/03/2020 16:14

Hi everyone,
Is anybody still doing the CD/121? I had my first meeting on Thursday last week so on D3 so far, did anybody weigh themselves everyday? Only ask because I haven't seen any weight loss yet, maybe I am expecting too much in 3 days? I know I need to give it time as the weight didn't go on in 3 days!! haha.
So far so good, finding the flavours that I like.
It would be good to have some friendly advice/support over the course of the journey!

QueenietheCutie · 01/03/2020 16:43

Hi @lea158
Yes I am still going! I started at the beginning of November on step 1b and am now on step 2 with 4 stones lost.
I weigh myself most days as I am a bit obsessed with it but have had to learn that my scales give a different result to my consultants as they are all calibrated differently! I just like to ensure I can see the weight coming off.
Its good to test out a variety of their products to find the ones you like, and know that your tastes will change as the weeks go by. The products I loved in the first week weren't the same as the ones I loved by week 12 for example!
My main advice is to keep drinking! The water flavourings are good and I have found a new love of herbal teas (plus the odd coke zero!)
All the best!

Tangofandango · 01/03/2020 19:36

Does anyone know if Cambridge still does the ready made shakes, in a carton? Can't see them on the website.

Maddison3005 · 01/03/2020 21:03

Yes they do, banana, strawberry and chocolate x

Tangofandango · 01/03/2020 21:17

Maddison3005 Thank you
