Morning sunshine and welcome mama!

Chiselled! He he, definitely take the compliment :-) how you finding it? You're 8 weeks in now? I bet you're really enjoying the meals.. what you cooking to stay within 200 calories?

Mama we're here to support you on the journey! When do you start?

It's Friday! Have porridge for breakfast.. trying the maple and pecan for the first time..

Have a good day!

MummasTheWord · 22/03/2019 09:32

I have contacted a rep and hope to start on Monday🤞How much has everyone lost so far and how long has it taken?

WankeyDoodle · 22/03/2019 16:57

11.6lbs in two weeks. Had a good loss in week 1 but it slowed week 2. We'll see what week 3 brings but the rep says the average is a stone per month

GoodMorningSunshine · 23/03/2019 23:20

Welcome Mumma!

I'm on my 5th weigh in this coming Monday and have lost 13lb and 3/4 😂 so basically the stone in a month! Happy with that as have about that to go again (plus another 7lb if I can manage it)

WDoodle I'm obsessed with the porridge, use a whisk to get it smoother, it's one of my fav items 😋

Most nights I'm either adding to the meals or having a salad on the side. Rocket, sweet pepper, tomatoes, gherkins and maybe tuna or sardines 👍🏼I'm loving the flavours which is so unusual for me. I think it's truly helping to rewire my brain.

Everyone I've told now about this diet have said 'oh no not soups and shakes' they have it sooooo wrong.

Although if I'm honest I'm going off the meals now but think I'll just up my porridge.

Hoping to see a 2lb+ loss this week and again for the next few weeks to make a dent in the next stone....

Morning everyone!!
Sorry for silence but had a very busy week and crashed at night! I’ve had ups and downs some days have been so easy but others have dragged. My first weigh in last Monday was a 4lb loss not as big as others but at least it was a loss. My scales at home (totally stripped and first thing in morning!😂) showed a 6lb loss so that keeps me going. This week has been slow but that’s normal for me. Still disappointing but still got today for a long walk and lots more water.

I’m dairy free so I haven’t got much choice on products. I’m having 3 or 4 chocolate shakes and enjoying them. Not that keen on the 2 soups I tried. I’m sad I can’t have the bars or bites ok 😕

Hi Mama I’ve got 2 1/2 stones to loose too. Adding ice to shakes I found to be a big bonus... makes the shake last a bit longer to!! Good luck .... these ladies keep you going!

Hi Sunshine ..you’re doing amazing...is it easier having a small meal or does it make you more hungry? I quite like not having to think of food... 😬 Do you have the CD meals or make your own up? I giggled when you said about telling people, I’m still doing it in secret!! 😂

Wow WD that’s a huge loss well done you and only in 2 weeks. It’s amazing how different everyone is. I know I’m a slow looser but at least on this diet it’s quicker than the others.

Sorry for long post but just wanted to touch base rather than just be a stalker 🤣🧐
Good luck this week to everyone ...my weigh day is Tuesday so got fingers crossed!

GoodMorningSunshine · 25/03/2019 14:24

Molly that's great, well done to you!

5th weigh in today = 16lb off total ✅

I'm happy with that and hope to get more off before Easter happens 🙈 I love chocolate and not sure how I will cope!

I am eating 200kcal food, usually with my dinner, but still on 3 x CD packs per day. I want to go up on real food and down on the packs soon, but maybe another 7lb first? I'm loving real food, it doesn't make me hungrier, just helps me to stick to it!

Helloooo!
Is this thread still active? I've been pondering the Cambridge 1:1 and was hoping to find a group here for support.
Have someone coming round for a chat on Tuesday, and hope to start then. I have probably about 4 stone to lose, although frankly I'd be happy with 3! But we'll see how it goes. Seem to have been trying to lose weight all my adult life, but recently just putting it on, so thought some serious discipline and a good quick inital loss would be motivating....
How are you all getting on with the programme?

Mmr224 · 04/04/2019 18:47

I'm getting on well so far. Went back up to step 2, doing down again to step 1a. I have another 4 stone or so to lose now. 2.5 so far. Not too difficult.

BPrincess · 04/04/2019 19:11

That's brilliant Mmr! Please explain the steps to me as I haven't even started yet and it seems so confusing!
How long has it taken you to lose that much so far? And what do you do on social occasions? That's what I worry about most...!

Mmr224 · 04/04/2019 20:12

1a is 3 packets a day, I think if you're tall you do 1b which is 4 packets a day. Step 2 was a 200 call meal and three packets, you are supposed to go up every 12 weeks. I did ten weeks and then was away for work so went back up a step then. For a meal out I've been trying to stick to steak, chicken, salmon and veggies or salad, hasn't been too bad. Had to have a few days off for a work trip when I was flying and had to eat out etc, so didn't lose that week, and took about 3 days to get back into it when I came home. Otherwise hasn't been too bad and I've tried lots of diets in the past, this one is much easier although a bit more expensive than cooking from scratch for yourself.

GoodMorningSunshine · 15/04/2019 17:36

Hi all

I gained 2lb last week which hurt like hell considering this diet doesn't come cheap 😂

But I know exactly why and have since been back on track! I've not weighed in today as my lady is away so I have another whole week and a day to wait!

Hoping for a good loss.

I've decided to stick at it a couple more weeks and then attempt calorie counting by myself. The money is needed elsewhere at the moment, so it makes sense.

I start on Wednesday.

SoleBizzz · 27/04/2019 00:52

Started and 100 percent since x feeling amazing

GoodMorningSunshine · 27/04/2019 23:58

Well done to you!

I've just quit. Lost 16lb then gained 2lb. Lost my way over Easter and decided to stop.

I've since been calorie counting and have managed to ditch the gain 👏

Have about 1-1.5 stone to go-alone!

Oh blimey addiction to processed food isn't pleasent.

livinglavidavillanelle · 06/06/2019 21:33

Is this thread still active? Any Cambridge 1:1'ers out there? I'm starting back on it on Monday after four years. My consultant came today, and I am EXACTLY where I started four years ago. FFS!!! Still, I did it before I can do it again. I haven't found another diet that compares to the quick results from Cambridge, so I'm looking forward to a fresh start on Monday :)

Epson880 · 07/06/2019 16:33

Hiya,

I’m a long-time returner to the Cambridge diet too. Did it in 2008 with little success, and again last year - lost what I wanted but didn’t go up through the steps to ‘maintenance’ and had a shit consultant = put majority plus half a stone back on.

On day 7. Weigh-in is Sunday. Have been poorly this week which hasn’t helped with the energy levels and have got an odd bunch of ‘meals’ left that I don’t really like so just going to throw them back (can’t be arsed swapping with CC!)...

How are you getting on? Sorry, I can’t remember your username and have just registered (long-time lurker - 10+ years long!) so no idea how to check!

Pickles1986 · 01/07/2019 14:44

Hi everyone, new joiner here! Hope you don't mind me crashing Smile I’m a bridesmaid in 4 weeks and am hoping to lose a stone for that (would be over the moon with a stone and a half) - ambitious!

Started 1:1 today for the first time, I’m not sure how I feel about it so far- I didn’t mind the chocolate orange shake for breakfast even though I could REALLY taste that sweetener aftertaste. I just had a leek & potato soup and I honestly found it so gross! Really chalky and gritty and just not enjoyable- I had to leave the last half inch of it cause I couldn’t get it down! Hoping the vegetable with croutons I have tomorrow is nicer.

Living on a prayer for my mac n cheese later!!!

latulipe · 02/07/2019 20:37

Hi @Pickles1986! I started on Monday with 4 products a day (800 calories).

How are you finding it so far?

Sam3boys · 07/09/2019 21:05

Hi. Is anyone still active? I’ve just started, am on day 3. Have enjoyed reading all the previous posts and hearing about everyone’s losses. I’m a bit concerned about my staying power. Cooked the family bacon sandwiches for lunch today which was hard!! I didn’t cave but I do worry about how long I can manage without nice food when I’m having to cook it for my family. But I’m prepared to give it a really good go. I’d like to lose 2.5 stone, so I need to stay focused on my goal, and hopefully I’ll start seeing results quickly to motivate me even more 😊 x

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 25/09/2019 21:20

Hi everyone,

I started the Cambridge (1:1) Diet today for the second time, first time around I lost 3st-4st but put it all back on...and more! 🐷

I am getting married in April so have a goal to work towards this time and feeling really positive.

I have a few things going on before the end of the year, holiday, girls weekend away etc so am going to try and make healthy options when I am out for meals and limit my beer intake! Maybe it will be raining when I am away on holiday so I’ll want a cups of tea instead of cocktails?! 😂

Is anyone else here still on the die?

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 25/09/2019 21:21

*diet not die 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sam3boys · 26/09/2019 21:21

Hi. Yes me!! First time doing this diet. Been on it 3 weeks today. Had my weigh in today, have lost a total of 11 lbs so far. I’ve had a few temptations put in front of me, but so far I’ve resisted everything.
A wedding is a good goal to aim for. How exciting for you. I’m going on holiday in April, so we both have the same finish line!! X

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 26/09/2019 22:18

@Sam3boys well done that's amazing! At work today it was homemade pizzas for lunch, absolute torture but I resisted!

What step are you on? I did 1A las time and not on 1B incase I can't cope with only 3 products but only had time for 3 today!

I hate all the savoury stuff 🤮 x

Sam3boys · 27/09/2019 12:39

I started on step 2. I belong to a running club (don’t go as often as I should though), so my consultant didn’t think step 1 would be enough calories for me. And I am glad actually, it means I can still socialise a little having a low calorie meal if we’re out.
No I don’t like the savoury stuff either, except the spaghetti bol, that’s not too bad.
Well done you resisting the pizza! It’s the savoury stuff I’m craving more than the chocolate and sweets actually. I went to a McMillan coffee morning and was fine not having the cakes. But really wanted the carbonara I made the family for dinner.
