Right Crotchety, that's a fortnight no-return ticket, with yoghurt, nuts and scones concessions.

Cyclon, a fortnight no-return ticket, with a fruit concession.

Orm, a fornight no-return ticket, with a small milk concession.

Kami, a fortnight no-return ticket with oat-shake, fruit and milk concession.

Strawb is due back today, so I'll take the liberty of issuing her with a fortnight no-return ticket. Sorry Strawb there is no LDC concession so will give you a scone one instead

Me, I'm on a fortnight no-return ticket with grapefruit concession

That's the grapefruit out of the back of the wagon.

But otherwise : 'ere we go, 'ere we go, 'ere we go.

OggswartsExpress · 17/07/2007 10:40

I saw that Kami , but there is a bit more info in this report. It seems to say that is is safe in pre- menopausal women.

I have 6 left in the fruit basket (4 days worth), so I'll finish these 6 and see how I feel about it then........

Breakfast - half a grapefruit, 1 boiled egg, 1 pint water.

Crotchety · 17/07/2007 20:05

I'm being goooooood (smug after 2 whole days back on wagon). And what I find amazing is that as soon as I go back to low carb that shaking business stops - the thing when you just have to eat something to make it stop.

OggswartsExpress · 17/07/2007 21:18

That shaking thing is a blood sugar thing, so makes sense....in a thingy kind of way

Me too being good

C'mon, c'mon ladies. Where are you all?

Crotchety · 18/07/2007 20:41

I'm here!

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 18/07/2007 20:46

Yay, how's it going Crotch? ( p'raps not the best name to shorten )

Crotchety · 18/07/2007 21:23
Shock
Crotchety · 18/07/2007 21:26

Well it's going fine thanks! Blueberries and yog, salmon salad, haddock and broccoli is today's intake, plus some nuts, small bit of cheese and milk in coffee. Feel lots better already - I really do feel better when eating like this. I just get frustrated when the weight won't shift and give up.

Don't think the wagon's big enough for Strawb's concessions....

yesterday -
grapefruit
sausages wrapped in bacon
lamb chops with broccoli
nuts
1 coffee w/ cream
wine
water

OrmIrian · 19/07/2007 12:13

Can you also make room for my concession of 2 ryvita with my breakfast eggs please?

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 19/07/2007 12:25

Have added on at no extra cost Orm

Must go and eat. I've only had 1/2 a grapefruit and a handful of nuts and tummy is rumbling....

Crotchety · 19/07/2007 12:37

You know, I think we've got a new diet book in the making here. Never mind India and Nerys - we've got "On the Wagon." One chapter per concessionary ticket type. Lots of pictures of campfires, wagons rolling and people being dragged out of the Last Carb Saloon etc. Hey presto - publishing sensation.

Hi Kami - well I did lose about 2 stone on it a couple of years ago. But it seems that it is dififcult to do that again - have read about this elsewhere. Your body knows what you are up to.
I don't know why you are not losing though.

Yeah could be, couldn't it...

OrmIrian · 19/07/2007 19:35

I've always had a conventionally 'healthy' diet - plenty of fruit and veg, largely vegetarian, plenty of complex carbs. But once I'd had children, given up fags and neared 40 I just kept putting on weight on the same sort of diet and suffering terrible cravings. Cutting right back on the huge amount of carbs that most people eat helped me. I seriously beleive that it would help many people if they gave it a go. If I'm honest I lost nearly 2 stone a few years ago but since then I've not lost any more - I fluctuate up and down by about half a stone but as my BMI is about 21 most of the time i'm happy. I think that cutting out the crap (sugar, wheat, processed carbs etc) helps me to lose that half a stone when I need to. I firmly beleive that if I'd gone back to my previous diet permanently I'd be the size of a house by now - not a nice prospect considering that I'm facing the menopause in a few years time. Mum put on about 2 stone on less than a year and has never been able to lose it. So I'm just a little cautious these days.
