No. Unlikely crotchety. They may want to weigh you but you can refuse that if you want. Well that's my experience. Unless gyms have got a lot more militant elsewhere.

Harrumph well the last one I joined (pre kids) was rather keen on knowing blood pressure, weight, fat ratios and all that - so you can tell if you are improving I suppose. (You may have noticed I am coming up with excuses not to fork out here...)

we need new thread?

why so quitet?
hope your ankle gets better soon oi. can you do any upper body things till it gets better? some weights etc?

ive been very good over the past few days. almost incuctions style, except with fruti. i cant not have fruit. if i have fruti, theni am not tempted by chocolate and other sugary stuff. and bread. [cylon drools at thoguth]
anyways, have been going the right way. this morning wieht down to 9 10. never been that low since before dd born. and if i make it any lower, hopefully, theniwont have been that since before ds, which was last millenium! so hopefully will manage to stay on oggy's wagon.

Ominously quiet......

Strawb has taken a break for a week so she can get her assignment finished, but don't know where the others are....

cylonbabe · 09/07/2007 21:25

strawberrykeeps us all laughing.
she needs to come back and fill the void her absence has left.
otherwise we will be forced to fall of wagon

Blimey, I've got blisters from knocking up all these cages, screens and extra wagons....

Kami, I too am having a slight change of tack.
Starting yesterday, I've been having;
Breakfast - half a grapefruit, 1 boiled egg, some meat (bacon, cold chicken etc)
Dinner - half a grapefruit, salad w/ feta cheese, ham and oil and vinegar dressing.
Tea - half a grapefruit, salad with a bit of cheese and dressing, and meat of some sort. Have had lamb chops last night and tonight.

I've cut down on the coffee, and am making an effort to drink more water.

I'm trying to do some sort of exercise, even if it's only ten minutes of leg raises, every day.

Only problem is it's my birthday this weekend, and dd will expect a cake........

kami, there is no way a powerwalk of just 30 minutes will burn off 900 calories.
perhaps an hour and a half's ru will, but not 30 minutes.
sorry to be so negative.
well done for being back on the wagon. and thank you oggy for tieing my down i,ve been very good, but weight at 912 today. so im assuming that was the downward fluke it takes, before hopefully getting there assuming i stay good for a couple more weeks.
however i must do some grocery shoppig now as the cupboard is bare, and the breadmaker calls.

yes, 500 sounds more reasonalbel
the amount you sweat isnt really indicative, as you sweat less once you get fitter i believe.
but well done for doing it. i have a cross trainer at home being used as a towel rail

Oh I don't know...I like riding along with everyone on the wagon but I think the bloody plateau has got the better of me. Cannot shift below 12 st and have come over all sulky and resentful. So am stuffing carbs like there's no tomorrow and feeling bloaty and shaky.

Report
cylonbabe · 12/07/2007 21:48

no no nnon ono
dont do it. the plateau can be overcome. it can be. it will be.

will power. one day at a time. but as me and oggy have discovered, find the one thing you cannot live without and have that. for her it's grapefurit. for me its just fruit period. i have been stuffing my face with cherries and grapes and mangoes and strawberries and am not having any desire for any bread, or potatos or pasta or anything with carbs in it. other than my beloved fruit.
come on crothcety you can do this.
