The naughty person sitting at the back of the wagon, having been yanked away from a perfectly nice chocolate tart in the Last Carb Saloon, reckons that it would be a good idea to wait till all the birthday stuff is over, the Veuve drunk and the cake scoffed and safely out of the way, before hailing the passing wagon in a few days time!

hi all

just a few days nback on the wagon, and back to pre carb fest weight
however, have decided that i need to eat fruit as well. so, am i allowed on the wagon still? or do i have to go hop along beside it?

Crotchety · 04/07/2007 19:34

Strawberries? Blueberries? Gooseberries? Rhubarb? They don't invalidate the wagon season ticket. Otherwise I think it's the less sweet the better eg granny smiths not golden delicious... (I'm the back seat driver still).

oggsfrog · 04/07/2007 19:37

There is a special cage at the back of the wagon that we can lock you in whilst you are actually eating the fruit so's not to lead us astray

cylonbabe · 04/07/2007 20:54

i cycled 8 milesish today. and my thighs are slowly killing me now. god knows the agoney they will be in tomorrow.

it hurts....[pitiful emoticon]

This whole car key thing is a rip off isn't it? I lost mine once and it cost £150 for another one. Ridiculous. Hope dh doesn't suddenly find them again after you've shelled out...But just check inside the wellies by the door...

oggsfrog · 05/07/2007 11:54

at £150 for new car key. Our car only cost £250.

There, there. Chin up. I've put a little screen up so that you can scoff some carbs without the rest of us seeing.

Crotchety · 05/07/2007 13:31

I know...stupid. And mine is only a (t)rusty old Focus. It's because of the fancypants immobiliser.
Strawb - make yerself some blueberry scones. And eat the lot.
Can we all contribute a paragraph to your assignment?

OrmIrian · 05/07/2007 13:38

£150!!!!! Bloody hell was it made of 24 carat gold????

Mind you when we bought out (new to us) Renault a few years ago we didn't have a spare. To get one with an imboliser thingy on it was going to cost us nearly £80. When I got there I was told it would cost a further £30 to get it programmed or something. I gave the man a look and sat down to bf DS#2 (3 months old) and I didn't hear another word about it....

Crotchety · 05/07/2007 13:44

Starting to wonder if I've remembered right now but it was certainly a lot more than you'd expect and did involve programming. Plus about 3 hours at a ford garage with 2 small boys trying to run riot. After about 2 and a half hours I let them run riot and it seemed to speed things up a bit...

OrmIrian · 05/07/2007 13:48

Ah yes. The rioting child trick. Always works. Especially around all that lovely gleaming unscratched new paintwork

Probably more effective as good as bfing a fidgetty baby in the main showroom waiting area.

oggsfrog · 05/07/2007 19:01

Ooh, just had the most yummy tea ... 3 big fat sausages with mustard and a huge pile of butternut squash mash with black pepper and butter

Is Strawb still behind the screen??

cylonbabe · 05/07/2007 19:03

spunds yummy oggy
we've had meatballs, with er, more meatballs.
the kids had baked beans and roast potatos as well.
being very good so far

Yay. Glad you like the screen. Not too medical looking then?

OrmIrian · 05/07/2007 20:30

I just ate some pasta. Wheat-free though. Was minging.

And I can't run 'cos I've buggered my calf now. Oh the self-pity. I've just jumped into a glass of red wine......

oggsfrog · 06/07/2007 19:15

Oh Orm. You get your ankle right only to bugger your calf?
What's wheat free pasta actually made of??

Still sticking to it here, but not drinking enough water or doing enough exercise.

It was dd's sports day on Wed and I was volunteered to be on a team. Blimey, an hour of team challenges and I could barely stand up .

OrmIrian · 06/07/2007 19:48

I know. I'm going to have so much of me strapped up soon I'll look like a Mummy when I go out running

I've had wheat-free pasta made of maize flour and other stuff from rice flour. Rice was OK, maize wasn't ....yeuchhh...

Crotchety · 06/07/2007 20:05

I cased out a gym today. Now I have got to decide whether I will realistically go enough to make it cost effective. Hmmm. Don't want to be one of those people who effectively pays about £250 per visit...
Also, they are going to want to take my blood pressure and all that and I have awful white coat syndrome...Hmmm...
