Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

I've been very good today. Bowl of soup for lunch and tuna fish salad for dinner. Otherwise numerous cups of tea. Eating window ended at 8.00pm so that's my lot for today.
How is everyone else getting on?

No not really Sweets. I have a 16m old to look after and that's enough! I also find for me exercising doesn't make the difference it can to others. It's diet for me and that's why I struggle! I also have pcos which doesn't help though isn't much of an excuse for my laziness!

Obviously I get out and about with DS but I don't do any classes/gym like Tinsel pants does! Though money comes into that too.
Number 1 rule of weight loss is calorie deficit. Everything else comes after that. I'm just shit at staying in a calorie deficit as I love carbs and booze too much...

TinselAndKnickers · 17/04/2019 23:22

Well done losers Grin jammy gits. I had a lovely evening with lovely food and drinks and tomorrow starts the really horrid shifts! No time for snacking though which is a bonus. Hopefully lots of steps too... can't be bloody arsed!

Yeah, my TDEE is around 1800 so if we take 500 off that it's pretty low and not sustainable for me really. I'm around the 1500 mark for daily calories on MyFitnessPal. I could drop it to 1200 for a little but ultimately it isn't enough for me personally.

Yes Easter weekend is going to be a nightmare for food and drink but I'll enjoy it and draw a line I guess. Deal with the damage after!

We love carbs on this thread!! GrinCake

Morning ladies. Dangerous weekend coming up! I'm buying a massive turkey crown from the wholesalers for the big roast dinner on Sunday. All DD's home so pigs in blankets, stuffing, yorkshires will all be required. Will just have turkey and veg and one roast potato. There will be enough turkey left over for turkey salads for me and turkey and chips for DH for a couple of days. I'm planning to avoid chocolate. Ha! Ha! Ha!
I was good yesterday and stayed firmly on the wagon. Hoping for the same today.
Hope everyone is having a good day.

TinselAndKnickers · 18/04/2019 11:05

That sounds lovely reckless can I come? Grin

YouBoggleMyMind · 18/04/2019 13:03

And me!

Having said that I've got turkey on Saturday and lamb on Monday.... they see me rollin' 🐷

recklessgran · 18/04/2019 13:47

Of course, everyone's welcome here - we know how to party and I do a special line in dancing on tables. [DH has numerous clips of film to prove it - with his own hilarious commentary!]

YouBoggleMyMind · 18/04/2019 14:03

This sounds excellent! What a party!

recklessgran · 18/04/2019 21:10

Soup for lunch and fillet steak, mushrooms, tomato and peas for dinner. Another good low cal day for me. From tomorrow it's going to be more difficult so I did need the 2 good days I've had since Wednesday's weigh in.
How's everyone else getting on?

That sounds so funny reckless Grin

I've just finished my long shift #1, lots and lots of steps. But got an emergency cake order for tomorrow and I'm working another 12 hour day so I'm up late tonight doing it Sad

recklessgran · 19/04/2019 09:27

Morning all, it's Friday, so my day off. I'm going to the pub with g/f - today is the 2nd anniversary of her DH 's death so will be having a toast to him. I'm going to buy a selection of Easter chocolate for the DD's who insist they don't want Easter eggs but I'm trying and failing to imagine Easter Sunday morning without Easter chocolate. So, advice please - would you be annoyed if your mum bought Easter eggs when you said you didn't want one or would you be secretly pleased that she had?

TinselAndKnickers · 19/04/2019 18:55

Definitely secretly pleased!! Grin you are soooo lovely, can you please adopt me?!

recklessgran · 19/04/2019 19:24

Ah thanks @Tinsel how's your long shift? Happy to adopt as many bods as I can fit in! Hugs obligatory. I've been all round Home Bargains, Lidl, and B&M and have a fuck ton of Easter chocolates, all different mini eggs - M&M ones, Smartie ones, Milky Bar , Galaxy, Teaser bunnies, Lindt eggs and some little chocolate bunnies and chicks from Lidls. [17 packs in all.] I'm going to put them out in a big dish and then they can help themselves can't they? Even DH [Chocolate monster] was impressed with my haul! I had a ham and cheese panini in the pub and a JD and coke with dear g/f. DH has gone to B&Q for a tin of paint to finally finish the kitchen redec. [Some kind of special matt paint for the pipes from the boiler.] He is bringing home fish and chips. I am having plaice but won't eat any batter. Will try not to have too many chips. Oh well that's not a great day food wise but I have been quite active - not quite up to the standard of you lot but active for me.

TinselAndKnickers · 19/04/2019 23:19

That sounds so good! I've finished work and my feet are KILLING! One more long day to get through Smile eaten okay today but not great, however I've done 14,000 steps so not bad when you think of it that way. Finding it hard to stay on track with stress of work, uni, my part time business, interviews and DP sitch!! Poor old me Grin

TinselAndKnickers · 21/04/2019 11:41

Happy Easter! I'm at a BBQ today and I've made this cake and I'm really pleased with it Grin

Had a stressful week so not been the best but not the worst! Smile hope everyone's okay and having a lovely weekend.

Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow 21/1?
recklessgran · 21/04/2019 14:16

Happy Easter everyone! That cake is truly beautiful @Tinsel. You are SO talented and in the wrong job if you're not a baker/confectioner already!
DD5 is here and DD3 is on her way. DH and I saw DD1 and DD2 this morning and all of us are taking DGD 18 months to the farm tomorrow.
DD4 finishes her 3 on call nights in the morning and is coming home in time for the outing. Turkey crown is in the oven although I think a BBQ would have been more appropriate!
I ate egg, chips and beans yesterday and heading for the big roast dinner today. Not the best, however I have kept away from the chocolate. [So far.]

TinselAndKnickers · 21/04/2019 22:47

Thanks reckless! Haha I bake part time but only
as a hobby. One day I hope to do it full time! That sounds so nice! Have a great day at the farm. Enjoy the weather everyone!!
