Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

Pity I've been so gluttonous this week Grin

How is your day going everybody?

Good day here, met DSis and walked by the river, shared lunch with DS and walked back again. Pizza for dinner tonight and I'm going to enjoy it 🍕🍕🍕 I've swapped from a deep pan to a stone baked to save calories 🙌🏻

TinselAndKnickers · 12/04/2019 22:30

Well done Boggle!

How are you doing reckless and MummyB??

YouBoggleMyMind · 12/04/2019 22:57

I have eaten a lot of chocolate this evening! Yum! 😬

MrsMummyBx · 12/04/2019 23:06

Hi ladies

Happy Friday!

@tinsel how is your holiday? Hope you’re having a lovely time. I’ve fallen off the anti chocolate wagon and had a load of chocolate this afternoon argh. Back on the wagon tomorrow. I felt really queasy just now and just threw up (tmi), suspect morning sickness, so I guess it’s balanced out for the day...! Honestly have lost my chocolate cravings though which is so good.

Off up north tomorrow with a packed car and no visibility from the windows whatsoever! Luckily DH is driving!

@boggle hope you enjoyed your pizza, sounds yum!!

Evening ladies - sorry I'm late to the party. God I've eaten a load of crap today! Cheese and bacon panini and black coffee whilst out with g/f followed by a JD and coke chaser in pub. Half a pack of jammie dodgers, bag of cheddars with some cheese followed by toast and marmite plus the crust of the loaf smothered in Lurpak whilst I was waiting for the toast to pop up.No dinner just the above snacks. Blimey I need shooting at dawn!
Glad you're enjoying your holiday @Tinsel and you had a lovely day @YouBoggle. Not so much @MrsMummy but will be worth it in the end. I always used to think that at least you know the baby is still in there and alive if your hormones are making you throw up. No consolation but just a thought!
DD4 came home this evening and DD3 is coming on Sunday I think as she broke up today for Easter. Not going to be a very good weekend for the diet methinks!

TinselAndKnickers · 13/04/2019 07:58

Hope you arrive safely MummyB and enjoy your holiday!! Mine is great thanks, mooching around the airport today waiting for the transfer later tonight 😴

Hope everyone enjoyed their chocolate! Reckless that's not at all bad! Sounds as though you had a lovely day.

I'm absolutely dreading the scales on Wednesday - I might do a long fast tomorrow to try and do some damage control!

Hey @Handsoff you're very welcome to our happy band. You are awesome - please tell us more! We're not that great at this weight loss lark but we are all sorting our heads out which is half the battle I'm sure you will agree. I'm stuck at 12.5lbs off since 21st Jan and keep falling off the wagon. Totally addicted to carbs - fresh bread and chips in particular. Have you been lurking and reading? If so I won't bore you with my life story......got at least another stone and a half to go. Give you a laugh - DD3 has turned up with her smart scales and according to them I am 38.2% fat, [Normal is 25-32%] fat free body weight is 8st 2.8lbs [Fuck, that means I'm 5 stone of fat!] Subcutaneous fat is 34.2% [meant to be 18.5-26.7%] and visceral fat is 11% which according to DD3 is acceptable! [Thank fuck I've done something right.] Oh and my metabolic age is 71. Shit. I'm 63.
Not going to improve things with the planned dinner of fillet steak, pepper sauce, chips and peas followed by roulade now am I?
DD5 and DD3 are laughing at me.....so is DH. Ha! Ha! ha!

TinselAndKnickers · 13/04/2019 19:55

🤣🤣🤣 oh reckless. I need to get on one of them so we can laugh together! I must be about 60% fat I'm sure Grin

One last McDonald's breakfast tomorrow on the way home from the airport that lands at 5am 😱 then fasting for most of the day after that, back to the gym on Monday!

MrsMummyBx · 13/04/2019 21:02

Hi @tinsel have a safe flight back!

@reckless your dinner sounds yum!!

@handsoff welcome to the party!

My holiday is a bit of a working holiday and had the car PACKED with literally not an inch of space. Spent the whole journey in the passenger seat with it so far forward that I felt I was going to launch into space and my lap packed with stuff. DS Kept having stuff fall on him every time DH took a sharp turn! Also felt queasy the entire 5 hours. Not fun. Anyway here now and the work starts properly!! Unfortunately DH has to go home tomorrow for work but is back on Wednesday. Diet wise haven’t been too bad as been feeling so queasy. @reckless yes I think that’s a good way of looking at it that the hormones must mean there’s something in there! The 12w scan seems v far away!

Hi ladies, back from DN's birthday buffet and actually I didn't go insane. I also drank 0.5% fizzy apart from 1 small glass of red and that's it! Pretty pleased with that Smile

recklessgran · 14/04/2019 02:21

@Tinsel enjoy your McDonalds breakfast - would love a bacon and egg muffin and a hash brown right now. Make sure you put on something warm we're being promised -2 here tonight so you're certainly going to notice it! Safe flight.
I can't get the picture of 5 stone of lardy yellow fat piled up on the scales out of my mind. Perhaps that will help me to focus. I've had a right laugh about it but if my metabolic age is 71 then I'm not surprised I'm struggling.
@YouBoggle well done on your no booze party - that's bloody impressive. One small glass of red - that's what I call civilised to say the least. You really have cracked it now.
@MrsMummy I hope you won't be overdoing it - I seem to remember being knackered permanently in the early days. I think you should be resting a bit shouldn't you?
@Handsoff that's interesting. I've been doing 12 - 8 eating window but apart from the last week trying to stick to 800 calories a day. You need to bear in mind that I'm not very active at all and can spend 12 hours or more a day at my desk. I've just had a dodgy thyroid result which is probably not helping but oh well, I'll keep trying not least because us lot are having rather a lovely time on this thread.
We have a deal that when we've all got to where we want to be we're going to meet up for a Chinese. Will be a scream I think! The more the merrier.
Oh well, better call it a day. DD3 and DD5 are expecting a trip to posh garden centre for la-de-da cake tomorrow followed by the big roast beef dinner. [Slimming world it is NOT here!] Never mind, DD5 has to go home tomorrow ready for work on Monday but DD3 is on school holidays [she's an assistant head] and is staying at least until Tuesday I think as she'd like to see DD2 who will be here then with our darling DGD. Phew! Catch you all later gotta get some kip.

justilou1 · 14/04/2019 02:35

Me.... I am doing keto/intermittent fasting. Boring as bat poo, but it works for me. Am going shopping shortly. (Different hemisphere to you lot.) Buying heaps of low carb veg, putting the Ninja on the bench to make veggie juice and breaking out the slow cooker for some osso boucco for dinner. (Gotta have something to look forward to!)

YouBoggleMyMind · 14/04/2019 11:05

You're up late Reckless, everything ok?

Welcome new ladies, we aren't the most strict or people on here... we do support each other though!

MrsMummyBx · 14/04/2019 11:49

@reckless I felt so knackered in the beginning with my last pregnancy but this one isn’t quite as bad. I think the fact my thyroid is now under control must be helping. I’m trying to have an afternoon nap if I get the chance as I do get really shattered around 2pm.

Unfortunately we are near the end of a little renovation project and need to get it done before I get any bigger- then I’m definitely going to take it easy! Actually called in MIL reinforcements to help out later this week. My tummy is so bloated it’s v depressing esp when it’s too early to be baby yet! DH is on a really strict shake diet (copying what I was doing before) and is so annoying that he’s doing so well and my belly is so flabby!! I’ve not done so well with my no sugar rule over the last few days, but going to try and start over again as it really did make me feel more energetic! Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday xx

Welcome @justilou from your other hemispere where I'd like to bet it's nice and warm! [Freezing here.] I don't think I'd cope very well with Keto - too strict for me. Carb deprivation.....
@YouBoggle - yes everything fine - I was working. Wanted to get finished so that I had today free for DD's and DGC's! Don't worry I'm a bit unconventional at the best of times as you've probably gathered and also a bit of an insomniac. I don't know where it came from as I was always knackered when the DD's were little. Must be years since I slept for 8 hours or whatever it's meant to be.
@MrsMummy don't get down you need a bit extra for growing DC!
@Tinsel, you O.K. - washing machine on yet!
@HandsOff don't panic you will be skinny Minnie on holidays as it is regardless of whether you lose any more or not.
