Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

Good food day here! 🙌🏻

recklessgran · 01/04/2019 18:34

Ha! Ha!I bet she was caught shagging the bloke that nicked your towel @Tins!

MrsMummyBx · 01/04/2019 18:34

@tinsel whoop whoop byeeeee Amanda!!

@boggle glad you had good food day. Mine was good because I couldn’t stomach anything much. Had bad tummy issues overnight and all morning but had to drag myself up to London for mums hospital procedure. Only just got back and am already in bed!

Evening all - I've been madly busy and have eaten a rich tea biscuit and a slice of bread and butter so far. Just about to have chicken salad to try to pull things back as weighed 2 lbs heavier this morning than I was on Friday.
MUST TRY HARDER!
@YouBoggle go you!

MrsMummyBx · 01/04/2019 20:13

@reckless are you still doing your soup diet? Was it Covent Garden soup that you had? I am thinking of keeping some in the fridge for days when I don’t feel like cooking...

Glad everyone had good days! I am just out of my classes - did an extra one so that's 3 hours of exercise!Grin feeling so good about myself and was approached by another lovely lady who took my number and told me she was motivated by me!!! So we're trying new classes together when I'm back from holiday.

I tried dance aerobics tonight and it was so fun, really let my hair down. Not eaten too badly either but not tracked calories Smile

YouBoggleMyMind · 01/04/2019 21:42

Is this new woman your replacement Amanda? Are we moving further down the pecking order Tinsel?? GrinGrinGrin

Calories all counted for me today, 1560. No booze. Win win!

TinselAndKnickers · 01/04/2019 21:43

Nooo you guys come first Grin

I just added everything I've eaten today (all from a packet Blush) and also my exercise and I've got a net calorie intake of 40!!!!! Eaten 1150 and burned 1110. Wow Shock

Boggle that's fantastic, with the no booze especially! Well done you Star

MrsMummyBx · 01/04/2019 22:45

Well done @boggle!! And @tinsel for 3 hours of exercise! I think I would have passed out!

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 01/04/2019 22:55

Haha is be eating a whole cake if I had that many calories left! 😂

recklessgran · 01/04/2019 23:15

@MrsMummy, sadly no Covent Garden soup here - just Knorr Crofters Thick vegetable packet soup 39p from Home Bargains! It's really quite nice believe it or not although I am a bit bored of it now.I think it's probably a bit dubious in the nutrition stakes though. Perhaps I should develop a taste for the finer soups in life........
@Tinsel that is amazing. I need to exercise don't I? 40 calories - blimey you'll be a skinny Minnie in no time at that rate. Well done for being an inspiration to someone else - it's good to have real life support so hope you and your new friend can help each other along. That is a really lovely thing!
@YouBoggle well done on the no booze, you're really cracking this now aren't you? I hope you feel good about yourself because you really deserve to!

YouBoggleMyMind · 02/04/2019 00:12

Thank you Reckless. I have a dubious relationship with booze and I don't want it to rule me. I had lime and fizzy water as my drink of choice this evening and it was really refreshing.

I got my smaller dinner plate out too and bought a stone baked pizza instead of a deep pan. They're small things but they'll make a difference over time, I hope.

TinselAndKnickers · 02/04/2019 10:08

Gooooood morning - braved the scales today and I've lost half a pound which is great considering I ate like absolute shit the last week and drank loads on Saturday night.

When I get back from my holiday I bet I've gained at least 5, but I'm going to keep up my aqua jogging in the pool whilst there. It burns 11.5 calories per minute and even more if you're heavier so it's great as really low impact Grin Reckless if there is a pool near you I'd recommend it, I'm no fitness junkie but it is very low impact but really effective!

Boggle see it is little things like that changing old habits, that will make a hell of a difference Smile well done. We are all proud of you!

MrsMummyBx · 02/04/2019 10:50

@boggle go you!! Sounds like you are making great progress!! Lime and fizzy water sounds lovely, with a bit of ice it will be a great refreshing summer drink too when we finally get that weather!

@reckless thanks for the soup tip, sounds great and packet soup is so much more convenient. I’ve got a home bargains v close. Will add that to the weight loss regime menu post bubba! I’ve shelved my slim fast shakes for now as was also worried about the lack of nutritional content, I’ve still got a tin at work though so sure one every now and again will be fine to use it up.

My dodgy tum is finally better thank goodness, the bonus is I have lost some pounds!

Home made shepherds pie for dinner tonight 😋 on the smaller plate with a side of veg.
A crumpet for lunch. Doing well today 🙌🏻

recklessgran · 02/04/2019 15:50

Sorry that @Tinsel and @YouMummy aren't feeling well today. Have you both been overdoing it?
That's funny you saying about a smaller plate @YouBoggle - my 23cms plates that I ordered from John Lewis arrived today. That size plates are so hard to find so although I replaced all my crockery at Next at the weekend I couldn't find the smaller dinner plates so had to resort to online. It's only me and DD4 that use them so at £6 each I only ordered 4.
DD2 and DGD 18months on their way over and DGS 20 and his g/f will be joining us for dinner too. They are having a lovely steak and mushroom pie I got from the butchers this morning with roast potatoes and a selection of veg. DD and DGD will give the pie a miss as they are vegan but will have all the veg.
I am going to be angelic and have chicken salad. Weigh day tomorrow!

TinselAndKnickers · 02/04/2019 16:27

I've also swapped to the smaller plate in an attempt to trick myself Grin and eat smaller portions. I've had a curry at the pub with my lovely grandparents as my main meal so not going to need anything later on! Smile

That sounds lovely Reckless!

MrsMummyBx · 02/04/2019 21:14

@boggle your homemade shepherds pie sounds delish! One of my faves! I confess mine is normally only a ready meal though so nothing to compare to yours...

@reckless sounds like a lovely evening you have in store!

@tinsel hope you are feeling better? Today is the first day in several that I’ve felt vaguely normal so I’ve been out with a friend, had a manicure and went to GBK- chicken burger and onion rings- just in time for weigh day- why did I do it!!!! Feel WAY too full now too. Hoping I have another night of good sleep. I’m going to have a nice relaxing bath before bed and hopefully that will help!

Ending on 1732 cals today. A little higher than I'd like but hey ho. No booze again 🙌🏻
Tomorrow I'm seeing a friend and having salmon and golden rice for dinner. Lunch may be tricky but we'll see! Hope you've all had a good day!

TinselAndKnickers · 02/04/2019 23:24

I'm feeling better thanks, glad you are! MummyB I hope your bath was nice - I'm still in the kitchen doing a last minute cake order!! So hard not to eat the scraps Grin

Have fun tomorrow Boggle and well done for the no booze again! You've got this girl!! Star

Good morning - weigh day Wednesday for me.
Last week 13st 3.5lbs
Today 13st 2.5lbs
So girls, that's another pound off which is pretty good all the naughties considered.
Still 1.5 lbs for the stone. It's SO slow isn't it? I'm not disheartened and am actually getting more and more determined as time goes on. I'm really looking forward to getting into the 12 stones as I haven't been there for about 10 years.
Hope you're all well this morning and staying on our happy wagon.
@Tinsel, are you packing yet? You must be getting excited now.
