Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

Dunno I've not bloody seen her! Tomorrow is the day I go back to spin... if I make it out alive, I'll let you know!! Grin

recklessgran · 28/03/2019 00:19

@Tinsel I'm properly laughing out loud at your post. DH wants to know what I'm laughing at but he doesn't get it despite having the driest sense of humour in the whole wide world.

MrsMummyBx · 28/03/2019 07:25

@Tinsel mmmm those brownies look AMAZING I want some!! How exciting about your cake business! Good luck with your spin class!

So I was a bit naughty in the end last night and made two Nutella and strawberry pancakes...oops.

Have a lovely day ladies!

Lol we all caved last night it seems Grin thanks everyone for the compliments!

I'm going for lunch at a canal side pub today with some friends from uni as it's so sunny, and I'm going to pick a low carb option hopefully! But this will be my main meal and only a small one after spin. OMG I'm so nervous for spin Grin

Have a great day - what's everyone up to?

TinselAndKnickers · 28/03/2019 17:14

Awful day. My tyre popped whilst I was driving which caused a bloody panic attack as I truly thought I'd die 🤣🤣 so had a cider and a burger (only meal of the day) at the pub with friends to try and cheer me up. Housebound now as can't afford to replace the tyre yet so no gym for me! Sad

recklessgran · 28/03/2019 19:34

Oh shit @Tinsel, poor you, that must have been so frightening and I would have had a lot more than a cider if it were me I can tell you. I don't suppose you'll miss seeing Amanda though! I hope you're sitting down with your feet up - you've had a nasty shock so need to be kind to yourself. I'm really sorry you had a shit day when you had such lovely plans.
I had toast and marmite for lunch and a tiny portion of cottage pie with brussels, carrots, broccoli and peas for dinner. Followed by a chocolate biscuit. Oh well. DGC are here as is usual on a Thursday and the boys have been playing football on the green. Beautiful day here weather wise but I am still working and haven't been able to get off my desk apart from cooking the dinner since first thing. Big project needs to be finished for Monday so trying to get ahead as all DD's home for Mothers Day. Apparently they have something planned. Bless them, they're all so hard working that I always feel bad about all the effort they make just for me. Bit teary really.A card and a hug would do - don't need a special day to celebrate being a mum - unlike my own mother who expects a day with fucking bells on. [Sorry for little rant!] I've told her my golden balls brother will have to make an effort for a change. Might be interesting.

TinselAndKnickers · 28/03/2019 20:09

I learned how to change a tyre myself which is one plus. Grin what a horrible day! Tomorrow I'm going shopping round Meadowhall so should get a lot of steps in!

Awww that's so nice of your DDs to plan something - you sound like such a loving mother you definitively deserve a lovely day! Annoying about your own mother demanding a bell-cladded day, my mum is much the same Grin ooo what's your big project?? Sounds very interesting Smile

MrsMummyBx · 29/03/2019 18:35

Hi ladies

@Tinsel it sounds like it’s been a bit stressful but at least you missed seeing Amanda!! Good for you changing your tyre, I wouldn’t have a clue!!

@reckless I agree with Tinsel it sounds like you deserve to be thoroughly spoilt!

I’ve been feeling rubbish, really run down and this morning nauseous. Let’s hooe this a temporary phase as I can’t cope otherwise! I was planning to rest up all weekend by DH has to go to support a friend at his friends fathers funeral Saturday and Sunday so will be childcare by me again however in the circumstances I can’t be annoyed! I’m just sooo tired!

Diet not too bad today and went to a resto with colleagues for lunch today so will try and keep it healthy but may have a Nutella pancake again!!

I fasted ALL day and just had a massive Chinese Grin naughty but don't care I also feel shit! And I don't have being pregnant as an excuse Blush

recklessgran · 29/03/2019 21:08

Must be something in the air today - I have been terrible too. Really, really bad! Cheese and ham baguette for lunch with large bottle of [very calorific] O.J from Greggs after opticians appointment. Plaice and chips from chip shop this evening. Completely stuffed. Felt really starving for some reason. Oh well we all need to get back on the wagon tomorrow girls.

TinselAndKnickers · 29/03/2019 21:31

Definitely!! Holiday is next week so I'm not going to be looking fab but I NEED to lose weight by around May so I'll have be so so so strict!

TinselAndKnickers · 30/03/2019 16:58

Hi ladies hope you are enjoying the sunshine - a quick check In from me, not calorie counting this weekend but making healthier choices eg lots of protein and fats rather than carbs!!

Have a great weekend 💗

recklessgran · 30/03/2019 22:09

Evening ladies. Had a busy day - DD3 home last night and DD5 arrived this evening. We went to Next to buy new crockery and to the flooring place to order new kitchen floor. Not been great with the calories - sandwiches in M&S cafe for lunch and quiche, chicken, salad and chips for dinner. DD's and I have just shared a bag of Maltesers. Weather has been lovely here too. Hope you're all doing the best you can!

MrsMummyBx · 30/03/2019 23:57

Hi lovely ladies, not been feeling great all day and haven’t eaten much for brekkie and lunch but dragged myself to have dinner at nandos with a friend and had a couple of glasses of coke with my dinner and feel much better! Must be the caffeine and/or sugar! Popping to my mums tomorrow to give her a card and choccies for mother’s day then hopefully getting a bit of rest! Unfortunately when out buying my mums card, some chocolate chip shortbread cookies somehow just made their way into my shopping basket...my willpower is just awful!!!!

Hi ladies, once again I'm declaring that I'm starting from scratch on 1st April. I need to get my head in the game properly.

MrsMummyBx · 31/03/2019 15:12

@Boggle go for it!! “summer bodies are made in winter” n all that! Thank goodness my appetite seems to have depleted at the moment so hoping that will mean I lose some weight too!

OP posts:
TinselAndKnickers · 31/03/2019 16:06

I'll also probably be starting from scratch after my holiday Angry at the minute I'm in the mindset of I'm going to undo all my work there anyway so what's the point.

Happy Mother's Day you lovely lot💜

YouBoggleMyMind · 31/03/2019 17:18

My Dsis is wanting to lose some weight too so hopefully between you ladies and my Dsis I can actually get my arse into gear!!

recklessgran · 31/03/2019 19:48

Oh Gawd. The DD's surprise was a buffet carvery dinner which included starters and desserts and live jazz band at swanky golf/spa/hotel complex. Damage done, all of the above plus prosseco. Sadly DD4 on call so couldn't make it but otherwise all present and correct with some lovely flowers and presents as well. Bit teary about all the love if I'm honest. I don't expect anything at all and very happy with a little card and a hug......bless their hearts.
Hope you lot are all O.K.@Tinsel you'll be on holiday this time next week won't you? Well, my advice is to enjoy your holiday, eat what you like and stuff the diet until you get back! @MrsMummy you have the best excuse in the whole wide world to eat whatever you like at the moment.@YouBoggle I'll be starting again tomorrow as well after my naughty weekend. We can do this and just need to keep going and keep trying. We will get there in the end you'll see.

TinselAndKnickers · 31/03/2019 20:42

That is so lovely reckless! You deserve all the love and treats, todays calories don't count Wink

I will be! Can't bloody wait. This week I've got a lot of classes at the gym then I'm having a guilt free week CakeWine

YouBoggleMyMind · 31/03/2019 20:42

What a lovely day Reckless 😊

MrsMummyBx · 31/03/2019 22:25

Hope you all had a lovely mother’s day!❤️

@reckless that sounds like such a lovely day!! I hope you thoroughly enjoyed yourself!

@tinsel so jealous of your holiday!! Was it Rhodes you were going to or have I completely imagined that?!?!

I’ve been v good unintentionally today, haven’t eaten much and hubby is on a health kick so made spag bol with soy noodles (the strangest thing to cook as they froth up like some sort of potion but don’t taste tooo terrible). I do have a dodgy tummy now but it’s too soon to be related I think 😂😂😂

Hoping the tum settles down as I’m accompanying mum to an investigative procedure at the hospital tomorrow and she has to be accompanied due to the sedative and they won’t do it without someone there!!

OP posts:
TinselAndKnickers · 31/03/2019 23:34
