Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

Wow reckless you are doing amazing!! That's incredible. And well done MummyB!

We've all lost this week so far!

Reckless I've got a pile of my stuff ready to sort out but not actually PACKED yet Grin

I'm back in the 13s now and can't wait to see it go lower and lower. Holiday may set me back but after that I'm in lockdown mode!

YouBoggleMyMind · 03/04/2019 18:10

Monday I was 12st 6.8lbs and today I am 12st 5.6lbs. Still up but for 2 days of calorie counting and no booze, that's good.

Lunch was high cals today as with a friend and we had cake. Ah well. I have tracked it and having salmon and golden rice for tea.

Well done on your losses ladies 🙌🏻

TinselAndKnickers · 03/04/2019 18:35

Well done ladies!! I haven't tracked strictly today but I have eaten fairly well Smile had my nails and brows done for holiday!!

recklessgran · 03/04/2019 20:13

@YouBoggle - blimey! Well done you've lost more in 2 days than I've lost in a week. That's really great - just got to keep it up and you'll be there before you know it.@Tinsel - yippee one more step forward and you'll soon be away having the BEST time and I hope not even thinking of the diet. You can soon pick up after you get back. It would be nuts to worry about it whilst you're away for a very well earned break.
@MrsMummy keeping well is the main thing at the moment and perhaps baby is helping you out as you're not fancying the sweet stuff.

YouBoggleMyMind · 03/04/2019 20:27

Thanks Reckless. Feeling good and hoping to continue Smile

MrsMummyBx · 03/04/2019 22:54

Ladies you are all doing so well with your losses!

@reckless yes I agree I think nature has taken over and is steering me to more healthy options! I haven’t actually had any sugar since Sunday morning except for within fruit. For me this is a record!! I honestly feel like I need to curb this as I am out of control usually!

Morning! Plan for today is soup for lunch. Quiche and salad for dinner. DGC here after school so it's sausage, beans and chips for them followed by jelly and ice-cream. Not sure what DH will want - none of the above I should think so probably jacket potato with a portion of lasagne from the freezer. [That is his usual default if he doesn't fancy whats on offer.]
No particular plans for today so might get a bit of housework done.

TinselAndKnickers · 04/04/2019 10:21

I caved and had a McDonald's wrap last night Blush after a fall out with a close friend! I know I shouldn't have done it but it was still JUST within my calories so I'll draw a line and move on!

Reckless sounds good! I love your DGC's meals, they are exactly what I used to have at my grandmas after school Grin

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/04/2019 21:34

A good food day again here, ending on 1609 cals and no booze. Trousers are looser too, my legs are always the first to lose weight from 😓 my tummy is so round, I'm a classic apple with pcos so my tummy is always the last place for fat to leave 😠

recklessgran · 04/04/2019 22:16

@Boggle that's funny - I lose it from the top down so boobs are the first to go despite my thunder thighs. All the girls in our family seem to be boobally challenged but have "child bearing hips" as my granny used to say. We're all very tall [except DD3 who is like a beautiful little dolly] and long in the body and limbs which means we can carry a fair amount of excess weight without looking too heavy. That is actually not the advantage it seems as you don't realise for a long time how overweight you are as actually you kind of look O.K.
Phew, sorry for long ramble!
I caved and ate loads of chips. Bad.

TinselAndKnickers · 04/04/2019 22:33

I've got big boobs and a saggy tummy that's hard to shift and I'm 5"3 so very overweight at the minute Grin

Good job Boggle! And reckless you have done so amazing so chips are well deserved. Smile

Okay ish day here, in holiday mode a bit early Blushaiming for a maintain or gain of 3lb MAXIMUM. fingers crossed!!!

recklessgran · 05/04/2019 18:36

Evening! Anyone about?
I've had a pack of sandwiches and a black coffee in M&S cafe prior to doing a bit of food shopping. Quiche and salad again tonight as quiche is on it's date and needs using up. Jacket spuds in oven for DH who could happily eat them every night for supper. He's having lasagne [again!] to go with it. DGS and his g/f just popped in to say hi on their way to the village pub. I offered them dinner but they're looking forward to enchiladas and chips at the pub. They've asked if they can stay here tonight so I'm expecting they're planning on a few drinks. DGS would never make a burglar -he is SO noisy when he's had a few but funny. Will stay up to make sure they're safely home.
Have a great weekend all. @Tinsel, safe flight, cheers dears holiday beers!

YouBoggleMyMind · 05/04/2019 20:49

Another booze free day here. Home made lasagne for dinner and just tucking in to some chocolate. Today is the first time I've noticed I'm missing the wine. Determined to be mostly alcohol free for April though!

Happy holidays Tinsel!

TinselAndKnickers · 05/04/2019 22:03

What a lovely gran you are reckless Smile and how motivated are you!! Well done. Well done to Boggle as well, you sound very determined!

I had katsu curry from Wagamama, kicking off the holiday Grin I'll try not to make you all jealous!! Going to try and make good choices food wise and definitely do some workouts there. Wooohoooo!

MrsMummyBx · 05/04/2019 22:36

Hi lovely ladies.

Have a wonderful holiday @Tinsel! Don’t worry too much about the diet, just enjoy your hols :-) sorry to hear you had a bit of a falling out with your friend. Hope it will be fine.

@boggle congrats on another booze free day! You’re nailing this!! Go you!!

@reckless sounds like your home is definitely family ‘base camp’ - so lovely!!

I’ve just been out at a really fancy dinner having a lovely time when DH messages to ask me to come home as soon as the dinner is over. V unusual for him to ask something like this so I called- DS has been puking ‘all over the house’ and is still awake. So I’m on way home to see what is happening. Sick child...great!!!!

Food wise I have been ok all day except for dinner but it was small portions so not too bad!

@MrsMummy - yes it's family central here all the time. With 5DD's and 5 DGC's there's never a dull moment. We're SO lucky - we've got F.A. moneywise really, but have a house full of love and laughter I can tell you. I'm very proud of all the love that flies around here!
I'm sorry your DS is sick - that's awful for him and for you. [My DH could never cope - if any of them were sick he'd run a mile.]
@YouBoggle I'm so pleased for you as I really think that slowly but surely you're rocking this thread!
@Tinsel I'm really jealous - but you really deserve to enjoy yourself - keep safe and have fun!

MrsMummyBx · 06/04/2019 00:13

@reckless it sounds wonderful, I totally agree that love and laughter makes the best home, money does not mean happiness!

Just got to bed and put the mop and bucket away. Not sure why DH thought it was a great idea to take DS all around the house while he was clearly about to puke- bathroom, our bedroom, his bedroom, the living room all puked on!! And had he heard of using a vessel or even a towel to catch the puke in?? When I mentioned this there was a very confused look on his face. MEN!! anyway DS is now back in bed with clean sheets and fast asleep, let’s hope he is better in the morning. Kicking myself as we went to a play area in a local shopping centre today so that’s probably where he picked this bug up.

Hope you have a lovely weekend ladies!!

Argh MrsMummy that sounds horrible and stressful! I hate sick 🤢

DH made us American style pancakes for breakfast 🥞 delicious! Hopefully I'm set for a while now and won't need to eat anything for lunch!

recklessgran · 06/04/2019 17:00

Thanks @MrsMummy I've tried hard to make a happy family home - big back story. Means everything to me.Hope your darling DS is better today.
I've been out with g/f and had bacon and scrambled egg for lunch. [No carbs]. Planning on ham salad tonight. I am going to try to keep away from eating crap/carbs if I can as I was heavier this morning than on my weigh in last Wednesday. Determined to get a drop every week no matter how small!
Hope everyone else is having a good day.@YouBoggle pancake brunch is lovely especially when made by someone else.My DH would need a sat nav to find his way to the frying pan!

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/04/2019 17:59

Not had a great food day today and have also let myself enjoy a sherry and a beer with my korma for dinner. Back to no booze tomorrow but have done 5 days free and will continue tomorrow. It's about control and making a sensible choice. Not just drinking it for the sake of it?

TinselAndKnickers · 06/04/2019 18:13

Hope your little one is feeling better @MrsMummyBx 😒

Well done @YouBoggleMyMind that is better than none!! You have done amazing

@recklessgran you continue to melt my heart with the way you talk about your family.. I definitely agree with love and laughter.

At the airport with a cider! Grin

recklessgran · 06/04/2019 18:14

@YouBoggle yes, it is being mindful - you're right. You also need to understand that a sherry and a beer at the weekend is a normal level of drinking I think? You are already aware and by your own admission have cut down haven't you? I think you're doing great!

recklessgran · 06/04/2019 18:19

Oooh sorry @Tinsel - crossed post. Which airport - is it Birmingham because if so I think we're in your flight path - I'll give you a wave!
Have a bloody marvelous time!

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/04/2019 18:27

I'd happily drink every evening but that isn't healthy for my mind, body or bank!

So during the week no need and an enjoyed Saturday night of a sherry and a beer is hardly going crazy. Tomorrow will go back to my fav lime and fizzy water. I just want the control.
