Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

Well done Tinsel, good for you.

I'm ok, just seem to be constantly eating at the moment. I have such little self control Sad

TinselAndKnickers · 25/03/2019 23:18

Thanks! I am also a bottomless pit it seems. Wish junk food was healthyGrin

What are you ladies up to this week?

MrsMummyBx · 26/03/2019 03:08

Hi ladies

Argh there’s another spanner in the works with my weight loss - I got a positive pregnancy test in the evening! Still in shock and think hubby is too as we really thought it was such a slim chance of it happening. So now I’m not really going to be able to ‘diet’ but I’m definitely going to be watching what I’m eating and only thinking about putting ‘good stuff’ in. Last time with DS I ended up losing weight for the first part of my pregnancy as I cut out all the junk food, but I was quite stressed back then as had to plan my shotgun wedding at same time!! I definitely need to get on top of eating healthily as my base weight for this pregnancy is NOT GOOD and I don’t want to gain even more weight afterwards.

@reckless your weight loss is so inspiring, you have amazing willpower!!

@tinsel good for you that you have stuck to your guns and gone to aqua by yourself!!

@boggle I so know what you mean about self control, I went to the supermarket over the weekend and included chocolates and biscuits in my trolley then decided I had to eat them all before Wednesday when I would start again (before I found out about my news!). I do not help myself!!!!!! Literally a sugar addict :-)

Ahh @MrsMummy congratulations that is lovely news to start the day! Definitely no dieting - just healthy eating. How exciting!
DD1 and DD2 coming today and I am making a lasagne although DD2 is vegan so will have J.P and salad I expect.
I will try to be good as weigh day tomorrow. I'm expecting a small loss. Weight loss is slowing down a lot but at least it is going down I guess. I know I will have to keep this up for months, so my willpower is coming from the fact that I've resigned myself to the long haul and so trying to stay on the wagon as much as possible.
Hope everyone has a good day.

YouBoggleMyMind · 26/03/2019 08:52

Congratulations Mummy, what lovely news! Here's to a happy and healthy pregnancy and we can't wait to see baby photos 😊

YouBoggleMyMind · 26/03/2019 08:55

Seeing DM today and doing a couple of errands, no doubt we'll stop for lunch somewhere Blush
Tomorrow seeing bestie but not sure what we're doing.
Thursday doing a little music class with DS and seeing my DSis and Friday seeing SIL.

MrsMummyBx · 26/03/2019 13:10

Thank you so much @reckless and @boggle for your kind words. I just told my mum and she was shocked and didn’t say much! Have a lovely day ladies :-)

So pleased that you are feeling good about it reckless it definitely is a long term change. Ooh a lovely week Boggle!

Today was a nice surprise - I got a certificate and lots of lovely freebies from Boots as I did a project for them last yearGrin also got a meal deal from them for lunch. Not the best but not the worst!

recklessgran · 27/03/2019 09:09

Morning all - weigh day Wednesday;
Last week; 13st 4.5 lbs
Today; 13st 3.5lbs
So that's another pound off but still 2.5lbs to go for a stone.
Plan for today is to try to keep away from the carbs as they are definitely the problem no matter what is said about calories in and calories out!
@YouBoggle hope you had a good mummy day and @Tinsel ooh freebies-that sounds nice and there's nothing wrong with a meal deal. @MrsMummy hope you're feeling O.K. this morning?
Have a good day all and keep going!

YouBoggleMyMind · 27/03/2019 09:24

12st 5.6lbs this morning so a little bit off! Pretty pleased with that considering I've been pretty crap! I think my smaller portion sizes have helped though. I've defo made an effort to make the sizes smaller for me!

YouBoggleMyMind · 27/03/2019 10:06

Good loss Reckless! Well done!

TinselAndKnickers · 27/03/2019 10:38

A maintain for me which I was expecting - thank god it wasn't a gain Blush great losses everyone. Reckless you are really smashing this. I'm going to try and beat you now! Hahah Grin I'm having a low carb and low cal day as much as possible with a longggg fast apart from cups of teaBlush long shift at work tonight with lots of walking around so hopefully can create a nice deficit.

MrsMummyBx · 27/03/2019 10:47

Ladies you are all doing so well! I weighed this morning and 14st 2 and although I can’t diet really I’m going to see if I can lose anything just by not eating chocolate or other junk (which I love!!). In my last pregnancy this worked for the first 4-5 months! At least I have a cast iron reason on my conscience why I shouldn’t put crap in my body and have to eat lots of fruit and veg!

Hi ladies I’ve been good today, no cake or junk, going to have a nice healthy dinner too :-)

I've been naughty today and haven't avoided the carbs. Toast and marmite for lunch and roast pork salad for dinner. Then I ate some chocolate - actually a whole Yorkie bar. Fuuuuuuck!
Must do better tomorrow.
Hope the rest of you haven't been as bad as I have.

YouBoggleMyMind · 27/03/2019 23:03

Milkybar with smarties... 😋
I have drunk too much liquid though as I feel really full and a bit sick 🤢

TinselAndKnickers · 27/03/2019 23:14

You're allowed to be naughty as you've both lost! I had a great day eating wise, I've started tracking my macros to make sure I hit my protein and fat goals, and lay low on carbs!!

I also made some brownies so I HAD to try them.. Blush

Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow 21/1?
YouBoggleMyMind · 27/03/2019 23:17

Omg that looks EnvyEnvyEnvyEnvy envy

recklessgran · 27/03/2019 23:29

@Tinsel that looks delicious. Even trying a little bit isn't anywhere near as bad as my Yorkie though. I am in awe of your resistance but who's going to eat the brownies? Time you invited us round for a cuppa or perhaps you can give some to that friend of yours, Amanda. Ha! Ha!

TinselAndKnickers · 27/03/2019 23:35

When we all meet up I'll definitely bring us some sweet treats. In the next year I'm hoping to set up my own business part time as I'm getting lots of cake orders in! Smile

I took them into work to get us all through as it's a tough weekGrin

YouBoggleMyMind · 27/03/2019 23:37

Oh yeah, how is Amanda?? HmmGrinGrinGrin
