Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

I don’t think we’re expecting anything like that here in the SE of England. Hope not anyway, as I have not planned for that at all!

reckless, CLEARLY, I am no expert, but I wouldn’t have thought coleslaw was a catastrophe... Isn’t it just veg and mayo? Low carb at least Grin. Maybe a bit calorie heavy, but I don’t think it would have a patch on burgers and chips.

boggle that sounds lovely! It’s snowing here in South Wales but nothing too dramatic!!!!!

I think coleslaw will be fine there are worse things to have Grin
I had a good day today but now having nothing in the house and I think a Tesco trio may be off limits in the morning!!!!!!!

Breakfast - 3 ginger nuts
Lunch - chicken halloumi and chips (Nando's Grin)
Dinner - lamb, veg and flatbread!

Enjoy boggle! I love Liverpool.

I have a job interview which I’m really excited about, but I have just tried on my beautiful, bloody expensive suit from pre dcs, (only four and a bit years ago), and I am too fat for it Sad. Luckily, I have a back up, but how annoying. And I only have myself to blame!

Anyway, plan for today is:

B: mushrooms and tomatoes on one piece, (rather than my usual two), of toast, fresh fruit.
L: lentil & veg soup, fresh fruit.
D: babaganoush, (homemade... should check the calories shouldn’t I?), with courgette chips / dipper things, crudités & pitta*.
Snacks: tea, coffee and water - no food between meals for me today as I am a terrible nibbler.

*Dinner is likely to change when I suggest it to my family and they all say “yuk”. Humph 😂! In which case, it will probably be roast veg with some sort of meat for them and not for me.

Morning. Yesterday was fine and I stuck to my plan of chicken salad and coleslaw. Still eating only in the 1-7pm window. Today will be trickier as out to lunch with g/f. Will decide what's on the menu tonight after I see if I make some sensible choices at lunchtime.
Tried on some of my swimwear yesterday. Still doesn't look great but stomach a bit flatter at least.Don't know what I'm expecting after 10 days but anyway determined to keep going.
@YouBoggle I hope you enjoy your pamper and night off from DS.
@Tinsel hope you get home safe.
A smattering of snow here but roads clear as far as I can tell. No school closures or anything like that.

Massage and Facial rearranged for tomorrow morning and DS safely delivered to DM and DF for a sleep over. We are freeeee! A lot of snow here but main roads are now clear and I can get up and down my road carefully so we can go out tonight too! Thai for us! Nom!

Hi everyone, hope all is well Smile

Today I have eaten:

Breakfast - cookie and halo top ice cream (250 cals) Blush

Lunch - hummus and pita

Dinner - home made bhuna and brown rice

Pudding - one of this disgusting cake in a mug things Grin was lush.

Not the best day, not the worst.

Thanks! I'm ill with laryngitis so I'm feeling sorry for myself Grin wow that's a very restrained diet! I applaud that - i have no willpower! In a few weeks I'm hoping this will be me..

I had a [blip] last night too. Half bottle of red wine and a load of peanuts after dinner - a dinner which also included cheese and crackers at the end - you're getting the picture.....

Cos I hadn't had wine for a while, it seemed to effect me more - such a lightweight (haha)

Back on the wagon so to speak today and another 12 hour shift for me tomorrow.

Morning @Tinsel I've been quite good although a sneaky weigh in wasn't encouraging. Only lost half a pound since Wednesday. This always happens and is my downfall in that I give up when after the first week my weight loss stalls and I can't see the point. That is why I so hope this thread will help me to persevere.
Anyway, went shopping yesterday with DH, DD2 and DGD and fell into Dunelm cafe. Proud that I only had tea whilst the others had a snack. That was a first for me. [Baby steps!]
Today DH and I are going to a large local shopping complex for a mooch. We have a few gift cards we intend to use up. I'll be on the lookout for a couple more holiday dresses but not sure what to do about that given my intentions to lose a significant amount of weight....
Hope everyone else is O.K. was worried that this thread had died off - I so hope not!

Well done reckless for resisting the snack! I'm awful for that. Enjoy your shopping spree! I'm the same, I need holiday clothes but I also would like to drop a dress size or two before then.. don't want to waste money if I can't do it but then it may motivate me more...

I'm still here - not doing too badly but been unable to log my food over past 2 days as went to Indian Restaurant on Friday evening - I don't think my dish was too bad as it was only a small portion but I did eat a couple of poppadoms and dips.

Yesterday I made risotto which although was quite healthy it was very carby and I ate 2 portions. May also have leftovers for lunch. Eating out for dinner today but will have fish and veg dish.

Plan to be back on the steps / calorie logging tomorrow.

I’m still here too! Don’t think I’ve been terrible over the weekend, but not exactly Halo either!

I’m planning to do a roast for family this evening, so that won’t be super healthy... but loads of nice veg, which we never add butter or oil to anyway, (apart from the potatoes), so not too bad Smile.
