Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

tinsel and ladies - very sorry for radio silence of past few days, have been off for a long weekend for a friends birthday, am suffering big time today! I’ve eaten pretty badly unfortunately - went for afternoon tea at a London hotel last Thursday, dinner last Wednesday, macdonalds at 1am this morning (it seemed like a good idea at the time!). So I am DREADING the scales! But I’m going to pick myself up and carry on :-)

Hope you’re all well and having a good weekend! Lovely sunny day here, bit chilly!

I'm here but will have to draw a line and start again tomorrow. There's always something isn't there!

TinselAndKnickers · 03/02/2019 19:59

Tomorrow is a new week! Have a good one everyone and hope your weekend has been a good one Smile

Bacardi101 · 03/02/2019 21:05

Hi ladies!!!! It’s lovely we still have this thread going! My day in work has been a shocker and if there was any wine in the house I’d have a straw and the entire bottle 😂 weighed today and lost three pounds so 6 down now! Happy with that so far but such a long way to go but baby steps!!!!!!

MrsMummyBx · 03/02/2019 21:08

bacardi that’s an amazing result! I’m going to be really good from tomorrow :-)

Evening all. Had scrambled egg and ham for lunch and chicken breast and vegetables for dinner. So far, so good. Enjoyed shopping trip with DH but avoided cafes/coffee shops. Just ate a couple of Lindors though. [Naughty] No idea why as not usually a chocolate fan- might be low blood sugar on account of this very low carb diet?
Still determined and really value this thread - pretty sure I would have slipped up in a big way by now without it. Thanks ladies, hope you're all getting on O.K. - if not, new day and new week tomorrow!

YouBoggleMyMind · 03/02/2019 21:17

Good job Bacardi! I prolly gained those 6 in 3 days 😂🙌🏻

TinselAndKnickers · 03/02/2019 22:50

Well done Bacardi!! That's ace

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/02/2019 13:05

Ok new line drawn, today is fresh and going well!

Coffee at home and a glass of water before heading off to Toddlers. A coffee and 1 digestive biscuit at break time!

Just home for lunch and had a 2 egg omelette with measured ham and cheese and a blob of ketchup. More water.

Tonight is butternut squash and sweet potato soup with a small part bake roll, measured butter and a sprinkle of Parmesan on top. I've still got room for a pudding/more coffee if I want it.

I need to keep going, my parents go away for 5 weeks tomorrow and I want to lose some weight before they return so my DM can only comment positively!

How are we all doing today?

TinselAndKnickers · 04/02/2019 13:58

Good one Boggle, sounds delicious Grin

I've had a non-scale victory today - the jeans I bought 3 weeks ago were too tight and used to leave red marks. Only worn them twice due to this - I wore them today for a nip to the shops and had to keep pulling them up... I need a belt!!!!!! For the first time in years Grin

Not eaten yet today - will break my fast with some low cal burritos.. enchiladas minus the wraps for dinner later! A very Mexican day.

How is everyone else?

recklessgran · 04/02/2019 16:08

Afternoon all. Really struggling with the carb deprivation so have has 2 slices of toast with marmite and butter for lunch. Don't feel too bad about it to be honest. I have ordered some wholemeal bread and laughing cow light to use instead of butter so that if I have the urge to do that again at least I will have brown bread and no butter!
Fillet steak and salad for me for my dinner tonight. Still eating in the 6 hour window which seems to suit me and keep me on task.
Well done on the jeans @Tinsel - it's little things like that that keep you going and feeling encouraged.
@YouBoggle don't be downtrodden by your mother - I have one of those too. I tripped over our dog last year and badly fractured my arm. My mother wasn't in the least bit sympathetic and just said "well, I'm not surprised you have such a bad fracture with all that weight behind it!"
@Bacardi you're doing well!
Thinking of @outreach on her 12 hour shift - hope there's not too much temptation around.

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/02/2019 19:23

Yes Tinsel! Good jeans job! I love when that happens!

Thanks reckless, my DM picks at my DF a lot too and has started commenting again on his eating and stuff, I'm like "you're talking to the wrong person about this!!"

Soup was delicious though DH grated his finger adding Parmesan on top Envy not envy!!

TinselAndKnickers · 04/02/2019 19:36

Thanks everyone! Well done reckless that seems like a good swap to make.
Boggle - oh nooo!! My worst nightmare Grin

I had a shitload of cheese on my enchiladas but it's within my window and it was 50% less fat cheese so swings and roundabouts! I don't even know what that means

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/02/2019 21:10

Enchiladas are on our menu again this week! We had a big family pack so slowly working through it 😂

Bacardi101 · 04/02/2019 22:35

I love Enchiladas! Well done on the NSV that’s amazing!!!!!!
Everyone seems to be doing awesome today I’m not having a great day was doing great until I opened a bag of cashew nuts and now there are only 6 left......

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/02/2019 22:57

Mmmm cashew nuts 🥜 🤤

outreach29 · 05/02/2019 08:56

Checking in - trying to be mindful of the fact it's second weigh in for me tomorrow and hoping to see a loss after an indulgent weekend.

@reckless - thanks for remembering me on my 12 hour shift! I did sneak 2 chocolates - no excuses really - they were there ...

Did have minimal dinner last night and not even really hungry and went to bed at 21.40. Eating in a 6 hour window sounds really quite hard to sustain. Is it doable long term do you think?

outreach29 · 05/02/2019 09:02

@tinsel - well done on the jeans being looser . Sooo lovely when that happens!

I've got a pair of cropped Boden [tight tight] jeans that I couldn't didn't wear last summer. Who knows? Might fit into them for summer 2019.

outreach29 · 05/02/2019 09:04

It's always a bad sign when you sit down in a pair of jeans and can't breathe.

TinselAndKnickers · 05/02/2019 09:05

2 chocolates is great for 12 hours, I'd have eaten 12 boxes! Grin

Morning everybody, have a good one... weigh in tomorrow Wink

TinselAndKnickers · 05/02/2019 09:06

@outreach29 haha! That's been my life for the last 3 years, especially as I only wear high waisted ones Grin

recklessgran · 05/02/2019 10:40

Well, I was terrible indeed yesterday. In a really spectacular fall from grace my carb fest continued and I ate a peanut butter sandwich and a plate of cheese and biscuits. No dinner and not a single thing that was good for me. In my defense work madly busy so couldn't get off my desk. Determined to be good today. Back on the wagon and keeping in mind Weigh Day Wednesday!
@tinsel - 2 chocolates sounds tame to me. As you can probably tell, once I start I can't stop, so, for me, best not to start!
Eating in the 6 hour window is easy for me but I've never been a breakfast person. I normally wouldn't eat until about 11 am anyway so stretching that to 1.00pm works fine for me. I don't think it matters what the 6 hour window is as long as there's an 18 hour fast if you see what I mean.
Will report back later and hoping for no misdemeanors today on my part!

YouBoggleMyMind · 05/02/2019 11:10

Morning ladies, I'm hoping for another good day today in the hope of a small loss tomorrow?

Applesaregreenandred · 05/02/2019 19:38

I'm really impressed with recklessgran's low carbing and eating in a 6 hour window - 2 things I just don't think I could stick to!

Food diary for today

Oat so simple porridge made with water with tea-spoon peanut butter and fruit

Smoked salmon sandwich, WW soup and grapes

Dinner quorn cottage pie and veg, mini sundae desert

Snacks a banana and a fibre one bar

I've eaten more than the 1400 cal I'd allowed myself but am balancing against calories used. Apparently if I eat 250 cal less than I use this gives a half pound loss each week which doesn't sound much but would give a stone loss by August!

YouBoggleMyMind · 05/02/2019 20:29

I've had a good food day here too and I'm hoping for a small loss tomorrow Smile
