Weighed today and am 1.5lb down from starting weight on 2nd Jan. Was a bit miffed until I realised that I've actually lost .7lb per week rather than the .5 mfp has set me.

I'm going to weigh on Sun then set that as my weigh day as I get too annoyed by daily fluctuations.

Well done everyone

Fiontar649 · 17/01/2019 20:54

Well done Dwangela and meow - all going the right direction.

Just made a big veggie curry, which will be my dinner over Fri/Sat/Sun. DH is making pork casserole. Our kitchen stinks!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 17/01/2019 21:13

Well done fleece, dwangela and meow!

LittleDoritt · 17/01/2019 22:24

Well done ladies!

StealthNinjaMum · 17/01/2019 23:05

Yay! Good news!

TulipsInbloom1 · 18/01/2019 07:27

I'm weighing in every day this week just to see how my weight fluctuates over a whole week. I will take the average for weigh in day. Not sure if I'll do thus every week but just giving it a whirl.

I weigh myself every morning. It's part of my routine: wee, wash face, wee again Blush, stand on scales, get dressed.

But I only record my weight once a week. Friday being my weigh day. Interesting daily changes this week because I did a very long run at the weekend (25km / 15.5 miles / 3h). From my weigh day last Friday to Monday, my weight went up by 3lb after my run. This will have been water weight as my sore muscles repaired. Weight stuck at +3lb for Mon and Tues. Then Wed the scales showed only +1, Thurs showed -1 and today -3lb.

So my overall 3lb loss this week doesn't show that I've actually lost 6lb. But most of that was retained water for muscle repair.

Morning everyone, well done to everyone who’s kept going, it’s brilliant when you’re seeing results.

I weigh at home but my scales are something of a chocolate teapot, can get three different results in a row. Does anyone have any good scales recommendations?

mrbob · 18/01/2019 08:37

I have been amazingly strict the last few days so really proud of myself but still not really seeing a huge amount on the way of results! Going to persist tho in the hope that I will be skinny by Tuesday Grin
I like hearing about everyone else techniques

StealthNinjaMum · 18/01/2019 08:58

Keep going mrbob I know we all want quick results but even slow changes are better than nothing. I just checked my weight loss app and the last time I was my current weight it took a year to lose 20 lbs so less than half lb a week but I was so happy to be size 8 rather than size 18.

This morning I weighed myself and I'd put weight on. I then used the toilet and out of curiosity weighed myself again. I had lost .4lb. My scales are electronic ones that are amazing. I could make myself weigh less with my previous ones but these will give the same results no matter how I stand or contort myself.

mrbob · 18/01/2019 10:24

Where’s fridge ? Hope she is ok!

TulipsInbloom1 · 18/01/2019 10:31

I messaged her yesterday - she will be back soon

Happy Friday folks!

On a day off today, been a bit poorly.
Not really in the humour to eat maybe I am sicker than I realised but ate a small salad just so I am not starving later.

Treat tomorrow - a cut and colour

TulipsInbloom1 · 18/01/2019 16:00

Just done an online shop to click and collect on my way home tonight. Weeks worth of dinners plus lunch stuff etc. Feeling rather virtuous hahaha!

OP posts:
LittleDoritt · 18/01/2019 16:04

Talk about virtuous, I've just watched my children eating creme eggs whilst I sipped a glass of water. Confused

LittleDoritt · 18/01/2019 16:05

Sorry you are poorly Fiontar. New hair will perk you right up!

Fiontar649 · 18/01/2019 16:07

Cheers LittleDoritt

I am indulging in watching recordings of "Obese: a year to save my life" and "My 600lb Life " that I record during the week and catch up with at the weekend Blush

WhenCanISleepAgain · 18/01/2019 17:16

Hope you feel better but that’s a lovely treat for tomorrow fiontar. Well done Dorrit - I’d love a creme egg!

I ran at lunchtime and I’m about to kick start my weekend by doing the 30 Day Shred. Well done in meal planning and organisation tulips. We haven’t yet planned meals for the rest of the weekend so I need to be careful I don’t slip into bad habits.

mrbob · 18/01/2019 19:59

Good luck with the 30 day shred- apparently it will make you super strong! I managed about a week but noticed a difference even then so if you can do the whole month you will feel amazing!

wizzler · 18/01/2019 20:56

Meant to ask you MrBob ... did one of your posts say Cherries were in season... where do you live?

mrbob · 19/01/2019 06:24

South Australia! The season lasts 6 weeks at best but it is a wonderful 6 weeks and we live right in the middle of the area with lots of orchards

Elmashbu · 19/01/2019 09:18

Well weigh in day for me was supposed to be yesterday but I forgot so today it is. 13st 6. 6lbs down. Quitting white bread and chocolate has seemed to do wonders.

mrbob · 19/01/2019 09:31

Wow well done elmashbu
That is pretty good!

StealthNinjaMum · 19/01/2019 10:03

Wow! elmashbu 6lbs is incredible! You've gone from nearly 14 stone to nearly in the 12s.

PinkHeart5914 · 19/01/2019 10:10

Morning all 😃

I haven’t been posting much as me and the dc have been ill, only one that got away without catching this virus was dh mind you he is never ill.

Still I am feeling better today but didn’t fancy food food at breakfast so it was a latte made at home with semi skimmed for me. Not sure I have the energy for exercise but will see how I get on today.

Well done Elmashbu Star
Good for you resisting the creme egg Dorrit They are tempting bit mean for shops to sell them in January really when every poor sod is on a diet if you ask me.
Fiontar649 Hope you feel better soon and enjoy the new hair
