I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

sol I don't think I will have will power today, I'm off to a kids birthday party. We all know that's means Buffet, cake a crisps 😯

Thanks everyone, I do like to worry and overthink things.

Rachey I think DD2 likes ear defenders for comfort. DD1 does need them in some situations. I’m wondering if DD2 has spotted DD1 wearing them in assembly, she also used to really admire some that a boy in her class has.
If they help her feel better than that’s fine.

I’m impressed with your meal out, I do love a salad bar. Hope the party was okay sometimes you need the buffet to get through it.

Sol that’s still good. That wrap sounds amazing.

Think I’m going to resort to Exante on Monday, emergency dieting 😂

Green hope all well and you feel happier about school and DD's. I will join you on a strict week, I haven't managed 1 strict fast day and have only lost 4lbs since New Year. Picking and chocolate are my weaknesses (as you know after all these years!)
Plan, lightlerife bar for breakfast and lunch and low carb evening meal. Should be around 800 cals. Aiming for a week , then will hopefully low carb for 2 week before holiday. Hope to lose at least 8lbs (optimistic?)
How are you Lulu ? Don't go ! stick around on the thread, I think I stayed on the thread when pregnant with DD and not dieting. it's a friendly non judgey place!

pom I'm a picker too. I just can't help myself. I'm also a hate waste which is a nightmare. 4lbs is still good though. I would love to join you and green on a strict week but I really don't think I have it in me. 8lbs I'm sure you can do it pom

There wasn't a buffet thank god. And the cake was eggless so didn't even taste that good. Although I did pick at ds's food. I haven't had a great food day and missed my circuit class as it was an early birthday party. I think I've come in at 1400 cals BlushI spent 50 mins in the q at the post office for my Zara purchases only to then to not keep any of them. I forget the models are all really tall 😂

POST OF SHAME ALERT!!!!

Yesterday was a disaster. I ate hardly any proper food and had a ton of snacks. I just felt really down about myself and was a bit self-destructive. I dyed my hair and it’s crap - it’s too dark and I look old. I’m just a grumpy cow, sorry.

Green I’m glad you’re feeling better about your kids. Please don’t stress, although that is impossible as a parent. Loads of my sons friends have ear defenders and they have no sensory issues, I think it just lets them switch off from the world. I hope you get lots of support from the school.

Pom I will do a strict week with you. Max 1000 cals per day for me with two 800 cal days thrown in there for a nice bit of torture. I foresee a lot of salad in my future.

Rachey well done for surviving the party. I love all the food at kids parties, it’s like my taste buds haven’t progressed past being a toddler.

I need to add a work out to my day. Even just weights and doing some planks. I was looking at myself yesterday and I legit look like a melted normal person. Ugh!!!!

sol I'm sorry to hear about yesterday. Feel free to off load and moan away. I self destruct as well. Oh no what colour did you dye your hair? Try head and shoulders that can wash/fade the hair.

I have stuffed my face today. I did my 1hr spin this morning had a healthy breakfast then it all went to pot.

Sorry about you hair Sol. I did the same in the summer and had to wait for it to fade. Which dye did you use? I agree about the Head and Shoulders. Hope it washes out soon.
I’m just getting mine done at the hairdressers now. It was a shade lighter than my natural shade last time but I felt it was better than too dark.

Eggless cake sounds weird Rachey. I’ve never managed to get much from Zara, even in my thin days.
Bought some tops and a dress from Oasis.
I keep ordering random things from ASOS that I think will be okay for the holiday. I have loads to take back to the post office.
Going to really try to have a strict week too.

I feel we need badges Pom or a special handshake.

Does anyone want 5 exact peanut bars, I picked them up by mistake and really can't tolerate them.

I had a lighter life bar, half a exact bar = 300 cals
slice of chicken = ?50 cals
About to have chicken stir fry = 300 cals

Hope everyone had a good day.

Might do lighter life bar for late breakfast and have 2 eggs/ham in afternoon instead of another bar. Will see how I feel. I actually don't mind the lighter life bars.

I've never tried lighter life bars or exact bars. I have had a fiber one bar (chocolate brownie)

I have no idea about my cals today but I stopped eating at 17.30 I did refuse all chocolate biscuits at work.

Breakfast - same as always - greek yogurt and berries - 142 cals
Lunch - carrot and cucumber crudités with 2 corn cakes and dip - 259 cals
Dinner - eggs x 2 and 2 rice cakes - 200 cals
2 x Israeli sesame sweets

Just bought a jumper, 2 shirts and a jumper dress from Oasis. I’ve no idea what they’ll be like. Got an ASOS dress today and it’s dreadful.

Oh Rachey, what absolute arsehole said that to you? I hope they were mortified. Don’t let it knock your confidence, and stop weighing yourself so often, it will drive you mad.

Pom and Green you definitely need to meet up, you should both wear matching badges (or have matching hip flasks you’ll be swigging out of).

I’m doing ok calorie wise. Coming in at about 1000 today and yesterday. I have been up with DS2 very early the last few mornings and 800 cals is very hard to do when your day starts at 3am. I get to 800 cals and then realise it’s only 4pm and the day is very long and hungry. I had to wear a belt on my work trousers today as they were sliding down, so some improvements.

Sorry to hear you are having early starts Sol You re doing well with your calories despite this.

I would have had a great day if it was not for 2 pkts of lentil curls: 180 cals.
Ligherlife bar 200 cals
2 eggs 150 cals
Slice of cheese 100 cals
Chicken salad 250 cals. = total 900

I did burn off 400 cals on my run though. I wouldn't say I enjoy running but I feel better afterwards.

I do wonder if all mums should have hip flasks Grin
