I can’t remember how many threads we’ve had now, but here’s the new one.

My plan is to go get back to 1250 calories per day using MFP and my shiny new fitness tracker. I had lost 10lbs from Nov-Dec this way and found it manageable. However, I won’t be starting until Jan 1st as I’ve a few parties and stuff on (and it wouldn’t be a well thought out plan if I didn’t procrastinate about starting).

My goal is a holiday we’re going on at the end of March, I will need to be in a swimsuit for some of it so need to get my shit together.

I think everyone on this thread has tried every diet going so newcomers feel free to join, there’s lots of support and understanding.

I’m sure they won’t notice Sol. Most of this weight is in our head ( well I know know strictly true but I’m sure others don’t notice like we do).

Caught sight of myself in full length mirror today, not pleasant ! I might try and make healthier choices and do 800 cals when back from hols.

Good hair, make up and outfit for Thursday Sol. You’ll be great.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 20/08/2019 21:14

Thanks Pom. How’s your holiday going? I am going to buy a new outfit and hair dying planned for tomorrow morning.

Weight loss has slowed as I expected this week. I’m still sticking pretty much to plan, but I went to a party last night and had a few gins, no food though which is an absolute first.

I haven’t had any wine since I started either. I’ve gone off it completely.

How’s everyone doing?

Morning all,
Sorry I have been mia busy week then I smashed my phone. Insurance was meant to loan me a phone but never arrived. Had 9 days with no phone. At first it was quite therapeutic but after a few days was just annoying that I could call DH to puck kids up if the tubes were delayed etc

pom have a great holiday? Where have you gone? Focus on healthy eating when you get back and enjoy yourself

green* how are you doing? Are you away at the moment?
*
sol you sound like you are doing Amazingly. Ignore work colleague she is trying to make herself feel better. Have a great time with old work colleagues

I have my holiday in 8 weeks. I need to do something drastic 😂

Pomegranatepompom · 29/08/2019 13:32

Ooh where are you going Rachey? We’ve been to Cornwall, far too much ice cream and fish and chips ! I’m starting again on mk day. I have weighed in to try and stem my eating this week !!! I’d like to lose 30 but I’m going with 28 as it seems more palatable Confused
Hope all well Sol and Green?
I’ll be posting more next week !

Pomegranatepompom · 30/08/2019 08:45

I’m actually heavier than when I started Blush

SolitudeSometimesIs · 31/08/2019 06:46

Oh that’s a pain having no phone Rachey, welcome back to the land of technology. Where are you off to on holiday?

Pom I’ve always wanted to go to Cornwall, it always looks so gorgeous. Is the weather good? Restart your diet when you get home, a holiday is no time for restrictions.

I went out for a few civilised drinks last weekend and it descended in to a late night session, takeaway pizza and not getting home until 6am. It took me 3 days to get over it. I am so old. So loads of carbs over the 3 days, no exercise and general slobbing about. I didn’t weigh myself but I will on Weds. I need time to undo the damage.

How are you Green?

I'm starting tomorrow. A whole week at home with the kids has drove me too food and drink

Racheyg · 04/09/2019 11:11

Wow not a huge shock but I shouldn't be back to 11st 11lbs. I need to sort my head and my eating out.

No booze for the rest of the month and will try to do 800 calls daily till October (although may allow a treat day at weekends)

Just finished a spin class so I've burnt 600 cals. Need to plan what to eat

Hope everyone is doing well, all kids back at school? Mine don't go back till Friday

SolitudeSometimesIs · 06/09/2019 15:56

Hi. How are you getting on Rachey ? Did you survive the week at home?

It was the kids first week back and between work, school and everything else I surprised myself that I stuck to plan. I’m now the lightest I’ve been for a year.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 06/09/2019 17:09

Hey sol haven't been good, had two play dates already and both involved food. I'll start on Sunday.

Well done on your great week, that's excellent about being your lightest in a year.

How have the kids settled in?

I'm doing this tomorrow, I'm really nervous roughrunner.com/

I haven't trained at all 😬

Pomegranatepompom · 06/09/2019 19:27

That's crazy rachey Good luck,
I'm about the same weight (sadly)
Good news on your weight Sol
Hope all ok Green

Racheyg · 08/09/2019 08:03

Oh my god, I ache on places never knew existed.

I managed it on 1hr 35 mins 10k and the obstacles. Next year I will have to do some training 😂

SolitudeSometimesIs · 08/09/2019 15:18

Well done *that’s bloody brilliant. Maybe a bath will sort you out. I use magnesium cream on aching muscles, it doesn’t smell as bad as deep heat.

Try not to freak out about your weight. I’ve found the 800 cals a day so easy, I give myself one evening off per week but I don’t go wild, I’ll have a vodka and maybe some nuts. Very different to how I was a few months ago. I would also kill to be 11.11. I’m hoping to be that eventually.

We sorted out our attic and then our shed and garden this weekend. God it was torture, how do we have so much crap??? I blame DH and the kids, my days of minimalism are long gone.

How are you getting on Pom and Green?

I’d also love to be 11.11!

Excellent news about your weight Sol. I know what you mean about all of the crap. I feel like I spend most of my time finding things to get rid of and places to put everything. Yet the whole house is always a mess.
Had some better storage furniture delivered last week so I’ve been having fun with that. Next week will probably be spent decluttering yet again.
Diet has been terrible. Feeling awful. I’m so fat and unfit.

How did yesterday go Rachey? You must be mad!

SolitudeSometimesIs · 08/09/2019 19:12

Green what storage did you get? All of ours is Ikea and I need more. I found a bag with all of my old perfumes in it, all dried out and disgusting. And clothes that by the time I fit on to them they will be very, very out of style (my cheapo bootcut jeans make my legs look like Christmas crackers 🙈)

I have a goal of being 13 stone by Halloween. At my heaviest this year I weighed more than when I was full term pregnant. It’s so hard to lose weight, yet so easy to pile it on. I can’t carry on like this.

New start today. Will use mfp to track everything will again for 800-1000 cals and less than 50g carbs

Breakfast - fruit and 0% Greek yogurt
Lunch - kale and goats cheese salad with cranberries (not the most healthiest but needed to be eaten)
Dinner - chicken salad or with some veg
Snacks - veg crudités and an apple

I'm still aching but I'm determined to train and do it again next year and beat my time

Racheyg · 09/09/2019 23:03

Failed again. Start fresh tomorrow

SolitudeSometimesIs · 12/09/2019 09:55

How are you getting on Rachey? I’ve started walking for 40 mins during my lunch break. I am so unfit, I was in agony for the first few days but I feel so much better, it isn’t the only thing I do in my day that is purely for me.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 14/09/2019 16:17

Hey sol not so good. I'm going to do exante for 2 weeks to give myself a little kick start.just can't seem to get my head into it.

How are you getting on?

pom and green how expensive is it in Florida when you get there? I have won a weeks stay in a villa so all we need is flights and park entry which is already adding up to £3000 for the four of us. I'm just trying to work out how much food etc is. Dh not keen on going but I doubt we will every go if we don't take this opportunity

Greenrabbit · 16/09/2019 10:23

Hi, just can’t seem to get into any sort of routine. I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been which should be motivating.
I’m writing down everything I eat from today. Maybe that will help?

Sol I bought a cupboard for my hallway to put coats and shoes in. I’ve ended up buying another shoe unit too. Everything had been on display on hooks (Ikea!) and was a real mess.
I’ve also moved the washer and dryer into the garage so in that space I got a pantry style cupboard as we seemed to be running out of kitchen cupboard space.
I had to get the hallway cupboard made to measure so I got the pantry from the same place. It took months. The house is still a mess. It’s really frustrating.

Well done on your walking, 40 minutes is great.
I’m trying to do more.
The puppy still can’t walk for too long but I suppose soon he’ll be able to go for longer walks.
I think I’m going to start walking a longer way back to the car after the school drop off.
Still nagging DH about clearing the treadmill 🙄

Good luck with the Exante Rachey. I might need to consider it if I can’t get motivated. I’ll have a think about Florida and do another post.

Greenrabbit · 16/09/2019 10:45

Florida.

I’m not too sure about supermarket prices. I think it depends where you go. I got an online shop delivered to our room and fruit and snacks were more expensive than the UK. But it wasn’t too bad.
You might be able to check prices for places like Walmart online?

The quick service food in Disney parks is about the same price as places like Nando’s here. The drinks are quite expensive.

You can bring your own food and drinks into the parks. We got the metal insulated bottles last time and just asked for free iced water with meals etc to refill them.
I took fruit, crisps, babybels, cereal bars into the parks. Ice-creams and snacks are around $6.
We had the Disney dining plan plan so our food was paid for already. The snacks we took were still useful because dd2 didn’t like a lot of the meals anyway.
Have a look on the DisneyWorld website, it has all the restaurants and menus so it should list prices.

I think restaurants outside the parks aren’t as expensive.

Parking at Disney is $25 a day.

A big expense is the dc wanting everything they see!

There’s a Facebook group called ‘it’s Orlando Time’ . It has a lot of information on that’s useful.

Racheyg · 17/09/2019 08:40

Thanks green that's good for thought. It's such a huge expenses and ds1 attitude and behaviour are pretty bad at the moment. I never thought I'd be dealing with this at 6.

Sounds like your making way with the house. I have such house envy at the moment. 2 of my friends have their forever homes and I'm very jealous 😢

How is the puppy getting on? What did you call him/her in the end?

Avoid exante at all costs. It makes you miserable 😂

sol how are you getting on?

pom how are things with you?

I'm so hungry and I'm only just starting day 2. I think I'm going to like a Lunatic this week, although I am going to have 1 cheat day
