Does anyone want to join me? I'm heavier than I've ever been and need to sort it. Not following a particular plan as I never stick to them. Am hoping chatting here will keep me on track.

Snacking is my biggest downfall!

Will weigh in shortly but am around the 13 stone mark.

Thanksruby I just use a cheap stick blender which works out as well.
Doesn't look quite in the kitchen sadly.

Howlongtillbedtime · 12/11/2018 17:10

as lovely

Thebluedog · 12/11/2018 17:12

I didn’t lose anything last week, so I’m hopeful for a loss tomorrow

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 12/11/2018 17:24

Can I join 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’ve been struggling for months gaining and losing the same few pounds
Put on 40lbs during pregnancy and another 10lbs in the weeks following the birth 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyway have 50+ lbs to shift, goal weight is 157lbs but extra goal of 147lbs

Previously had lost 4st with WW but not liking the new plan so I am CC this time round

Problems for me is boredom and tiredness

Weigh in day will be a Saturday 😊

I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant with my second.
I put a lot of weight on with my first, 4/5 stone mark, I threw myself in to dieting and exercising afterwards for a few months but then got quite depressed and started eating loads and pilled on even more pounds. We didn’t plan our second however we are over the moon! But I was worried due to being in such an unhealthy state. So as soon as I found out I was pregnant I thought that’s it’s no more crap, no more excuses I need to be healthy for my children. I started walking every day on the treadmill and watched what I was eating, I would say I’m loosely doing slimming world, I know all the rules and it’s always in the back of my mind but I’m not 100% on it. I managed to lose 21lbs over the first and beginning of the second trimester, since then I’ve gained 5lbs, very slowly. I will mention my MW and the consultant I am under are perfectly happy with what I’ve done, I’ve certainly not starved myself or pushed myself too hard at all. My Blood pressure is great and has improved and so far I’ve had no complications or anything you’re warned about with being overweight and pregnant. I had to have a scan the other day to see how big baby is due to my BMI and she’s apparently coming in at 4.11, they had me on the 90th centile on the charts but this has shown she isn’t that big (although I’m aware these scans arent that accurate) also it showed like with my son I am carrying quite a lot of water, not too much but at the top end of the healthy scale.
I fully expect to put on weight weekly now as of course this is growing time and I’m fine with that! I’m not obsessed I understand how it works and I’d rather put weight on and have a healthy child than not however my question is, has anyone been in a Similar situation? And how much did you end up loosing on the other side after baby was born?
My starting weight was 17.7stone
Lowest when pregnant was 16 stone
Current weight 16.5 stone
Ideal weight is around 11 stone
Half of me is expecting to lose literally the weight of the baby as I’m not gaining unnecessary weight (like I did before). In an ideal world I’d give birth to a healthy baby and weight a few stone less haha but I know that won’t happen! But I am curious as to how much people in a similar situation lost initially.

Treenas · 13/11/2018 11:47

Oh dear I meant to start this on a fresh thread! Sorry for jumping on here with my long waffling post ha xxx

Sorry I've been so quiet. The past week wasn't so good so barely lost a thing. But 0.1kg is better than nothing at all! I just realised I missed a whole thread of posts so will do another update of the weigh-in thread in a mo.

Welcome whymust. And hello Treenas, lots of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Going to be a tough day for me today, I am so tired my baby was up 9 times!!
I am forcing myself to get to the gym in 35mins🙈

HettyPain · 14/11/2018 15:19

I feel your pain whymust! I was also up throughout the night but because of too much noise. Did you make it to the gym?

OP posts:
Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 14/11/2018 15:39

I did Hetty, glad i did but have hit a bit of a slump now. I am over my planned calories by about 200, I was saving my exercise cals as I have an afternoon tea tomorrow but that does still leave some anyway and I’ll go to the gym tomorrow night 💪🏻

HettyPain · 14/11/2018 16:19

That's really good, well done. Being 200 calories over isn't too bad.

OP posts:
RubySlippers77 · 16/11/2018 09:12

How are you feeling today whymust? Sleep deprivation is brutal Sad I hope you've had more sleep and/ or a lie in since!

I've hurt my back going hell for leather on the cleaning (there's a moral in there somewhere!) so although the house is the cleanest it's been for ages, I can hardly move!! Makes it very tricky looking after toddlers!

Eating has been quite healthy but probably too much, even with the extra calories I've burned cleaning (been averaging 18K steps per day). Too many birthdays/ celebrations/ charity events to attend with cake... getting my hair cut tomorrow, hoping that looking a bit nicer will help with my self esteem and willpower Smile

Happy Friday everyone!

muddledmidget · 16/11/2018 11:37

This is not going well!!! I'm existing on sugar and caffeine due to shift changes at work and am too tired to go the gym. Going to behave myself today and go back to daily weigh ins as I find it too difficult not to think I've got time to make it up before the next weigh in. I'm also going to avoid the colleague shop at work tonight at 11pm as it's been too tempting to pick up an almond croissant or something for the drive home.

Hopefully I'll have something positive to tell you tomorrow
MM x

FattySmith · 16/11/2018 15:16

Can I join you please?

45 days using MFP so far...

in 5ft5 and my starting weight was 14st 13. I’d like to get down to 10st7 (or less- but that seems a long way off!) but I’d be over the moon at 11st!

My current weight is 14st, I can’t wait to be 13st something!

I have ingrained habits of eating for all sorts of reasons other than being hungry so I worry I won’t keep the weight off unless I address that in the long term. I’ve downloaded ‘Never Binge Again’ free version on kindle. I must get back to reading it!

I find being out/away from home difficult in terms of eating within my calorie limits (currently 1430) I went away for the weekend and reset my ‘goal’ to maintain my weight but went over on 2 of the days Blush

I don’t want to be a food bore but don’t want to be fat any more either! I’m hoping I can develop some healthier habits in the long run.

It’s lovely to see the support and motivation on this thread Smile

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 16/11/2018 15:41

I had a better day ruby, feeling strong!!

Hopefully the haircut will help, I just got extensions in to try and boost my self up a bit, it can be hard when you don’t like what you see in the mirror to feel good about yourself or it is for me at least. Feel much better about myself with new hair - instead of feeling like a tired fat mess!!

MM it must be so hard with shifts like that, sending positive vibes that you bypass that croissant!

Weigh in for me tomorrow and I have pizza, garlic bread and a cookie pie for treat dinner night 😋 I also have prosecco 🥂

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 17/11/2018 08:57

Weighed in at 209lbs

Been struck down with D&V 🤢😢🤮
Goodbye my lovely planned treat meal 😭

SimplyPut · 17/11/2018 14:31

Ladies would you mind if I join you? I have decided today is the day I get me back! I am getting steadily bigger and more lethargic (not exactly a positive start).

I have signed up for ww online to use the app and I'm about to meal plan and look into increasing my movement.

I weighed 15st 6lbs this morning .

Howlongtillbedtime · 19/11/2018 07:20

Good morning

I have weighed and lost one measly pound.

I need to up my game this week .

Will meal plan today and get off my arse to the gym at least 3 times this week. I failed to get there even once last week Blush
I am also going to be on here more as I need a kick to get on track.

Welcome to all these new joiners.

muddledmidget · 19/11/2018 09:54

Late shifts have finished at work and back to my regular 7-4 and only 4 days a week not 6!

Have also made the decision to do slimfast for a couple of weeks to take the decision making out of food. If I just take my shake or bar and no wallet to work then it's going to enforce it, plus the fact I just had fried eggs on crumpets and leftover birthday cake for breakfast means I need to try something new, so I'm just on my way to boots to pick up 2 x 7 day starter packs

Weigh in for today was 11st10 so put on everything I'd already lost, which is better than it could have been, but onwards and upwards!!

MM xx

FattySmith · 19/11/2018 10:54

Thank you for the welcome Howlongtillbedtime Smile
I weighed in at 13st11.5lb this morning.
It’s been a slow few weeks so I’m pleased with that

RubySlippers77 · 19/11/2018 11:27

Hello to anyone just joining! Hopefully we can have some good losses before Christmas [santa]

Well done on your 1lb howlong, at least it was a loss! I've stayed the same again this week, will blame all the rubbish we ate yesterday whilst waiting for Santa's Grotto.....

I did Slimfast for a bit a few years back MM. I actually quite liked it as am not much of a cook and it took the 'thinking' out of things for me! I only liked the chocolate shake though, couldn't stomach any other flavours.

Rang WW to cancel my membership and they've offered me six weeks free which is at least something! I told them I was disappointed at No Count going and wasn't a big fan of the rebrand. I'll see if I'm actually going and/ or following the plan by mid-Jan and if not I think I'll save the money and actually cancel Hmm

HettyPain · 19/11/2018 21:27

Hello

Sorry I haven't had time to read posts or do any updates. If anyone else has time to update the weigh-in post please do!

I've stayed the same this week!

OP posts:
GroovieGazelloo · 19/11/2018 22:42

Hello,
This has been a really busy time for me too over the last two weeks.
Last week I lost nothing and this week I've lost between 1 and half a kilo. The scales are "keeping me in my toes" and I'm sick of jumping up and down on them to get a firm answer. Grin
So let's say I'm at 78.8 which is the highest on the scales today.

I'm averagely pleased about it all. I admit I'd have liked it to be more. But I'm going steadily and, with no big panics, I'm really happy not to have got caught up in any binging antics. That is absolutely fantastic for me to be honest.

So, thinking about you all and wishing you all well. Bear
