Would any of you ladies like to join me on my journey to lose three stone? Starting tomorrow Grin

OP posts:
hippipotamiwantstoloseapound · 24/09/2018 10:38

I weighed myself this morning and was 117.9kg (18st6)
My target is going to be 18st by the start of the October half term (4 weeks today)

I may be overreaching myself, but it's worth a try!

PiperPublickOccurrences · 24/09/2018 10:41

Forgot to weigh myself this morning. Will weigh tomorrow. I never eat breakfast which appears to go against all dieting rules but works for me. All I've had so far is coffee.

MysteriousQuinn · 24/09/2018 10:57

Morning all Smile
Just been and stocked up on some low cal snacks. Walkers baked crisps, fibre one brownies, popcorn (both to satisfy my sweet tooth) and some cooked chicken. Got some stir fry stuff for dinner tonight.
Big food shop is tomorrow or Wednesday so will meal plan and get plenty of fruit & veg.
Weighed myself as well this morning, 10st 13lbs. Main aim is to get those 13lbs off then I'll decide what to do next.

MysteriousQuinn · 24/09/2018 11:22

Ooh quick question actually. Has anyone got a cheap fitness tracker from amazon/eBay? Are they any Good? Can't afford a fitbit but want something to count steps. I used to use a pedometer app on my phone but it only counted my steps when I had my phone with me, want something I can have on me all day. Thanks

HerRoyalFattyness · 24/09/2018 11:26

Congrats caitlin
piper i never eat breakfast either. I actually find my appetite is bigger if i do.
quinn look at xiaomi mi bands. They're cheaper than fitbit and work well, but there are a lot of fakes so be careful and only buy through the xiaomi site.

HerRoyalFattyness · 24/09/2018 11:27

I bought hummus today...please rell me it's nice...ive never had it but I'm trying to expand my range of foods.

MysteriousQuinn · 24/09/2018 12:40

Thanks herroyal I'll have a look. I don't like hummus but pretty much everyone else I know does (I'm fussy generally anyway). I've heard it's good with peppers/cucumber/carrot for dipping.

WhoWants2Know · 24/09/2018 12:48

Does anyone track with MyFitnessPal? I'm always happy to add buddies.

CaseStudyResearch · 24/09/2018 12:53

Royal, I love hummus but it does contain a lot of calories and is quite easy to eat a large portion!

If you measure it out with veggies, it’s a good lunch or snack addition.

feverbee · 24/09/2018 12:56

Can I join please? I've got around 3 stone to lose. Currently doing Weight Watchers.

Cagliostro · 24/09/2018 12:57

Hummus is one of those things I buy but then only eat a bit of as I get bored! 😳

Shared an omelette with the baby, ham cheddar and a fuckton of veg. I figure if the veg in my meals reaches fuckton levels then I’m probably doing ok :o

I am so tired today.

Languageofkindness · 24/09/2018 13:10

I find pukka peppermint and liquorice tea really helps the sweet tooth - it’s sweet so fills a gap!

Languageofkindness · 24/09/2018 13:13

I am also setting myself small goals such as at 15 stone I can ride a horse (I don’t actually ride so god knows why this has stuck in my head as a goal 😃), at 12 stone i’ll be able to accompany my toddler on some of that weight restricted rides at woodlands etc etc. It does focus my mind.

someonekillbabyshark · 24/09/2018 13:13

I had for lunch Nannas magic soup with 2x mini pittas, this was an hour ago and I'm feeling peckish ! Go away cravings HmmHmmHmm

PiperPublickOccurrences · 24/09/2018 13:41

I find that soup never fills me up. Protein all the way - I just had this sort of omelette/frittata thing made with 2 eggs, half an onion, a massive handful of spinach and four slices of chorizo. Really tasty and more satisfying than soup.

We're having chicken fajitas for dinner, I'll have mine with salad and forgo the cheese. Then I can have one of those little bars of Aldi moser roth chocolate for a treat.

HerRoyalFattyness · 24/09/2018 13:56

WhoWants2Know feel free to pm me and i will add you on mfp.

I got the reduced fat hummus thinking it might be a bit healthier.

If its awful i will cry Grin

I had toast for lunch. Wasn't very hungry.

HerRoyalFattyness · 24/09/2018 13:58

Piper those chocolates are soooo good.

hippipotamiwantstoloseapound · 24/09/2018 15:51

I will allow myself a little bar of Aldi Moser Roth dark chocolate as a treat daily. I need my sweet fix.....

Bubblysqueak · 24/09/2018 16:18

Had my weigh in this morning and in 11st on the dot. In an ideal world I'd love to lose a stone by 27th October but think that's probably unrealistic but I'll give it a go.
I really need to try and fit some exercise into my day.

someonekillbabyshark · 24/09/2018 17:04

Had beef stew for tea thought I was going to pass out! Defo need more cals tomorrow BlushBlush

HerRoyalFattyness · 24/09/2018 17:05

Pie, chips peas and gravy here. Bloody starving now though!

CaseStudyResearch · 24/09/2018 17:13

Ive had quite a picky day so far - going to start properly tomorrow, and batch cook tonight so I’ve got time to go to the gym in the week.

fishfingersandketchup · 24/09/2018 17:13

I'm eating reasonably normally but no snacks or sweet food, I had poached eggs for breakfast, avocado and cream cheese sandwich with a yoghurt and fruit for lunch, and salmon with loads of roasted veg and rice for tea. I will fill my plate but no seconds or treats. Its based on the NoS diet which has worked really well for me in the past.
Great to have so much support on this thread, we're all doing it in our own way but for the same reasons.

cricketmum84 · 24/09/2018 17:15

Well all my lovely fruit and lunch had come home unopened and I have got through today on 1 cup of coffee with a sweetener. God I hate my job. Pass the gin please! I certainly have enough flipping calories left for it!!

Jenniferturkington · 24/09/2018 18:30

Not too bad here today (so far): 2 bags of popcorn, an apple, veggie tagine with cous cous, and a small flapjack (ds made in home ec so had to sample!) Now I need to get through the evening without too much crap.
