Hi everyone! Fell off the thread for a while as I moved house and work has been crazy busy....

Anyhow, this month is going well. Gyming like a pro and trying to keep the diet on track but allowing a few cheat days. I've two more short trips away this year but I've planned a pretty scary trip away to China next year that means I'll be training hard. 9st 2 this morning but hoping to get to my goal by the 1st of August.

It's good to be back here Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 18/07/2018 21:45

Sounds like you've got done exciting plans.

Yes panda it's 4lbs! Which is epic!

I'm just logging another golden 1000 calorie day.

CiderwithBuda · 18/07/2018 23:46

Everyone’s doing wel! 4 lbs is fab panda. Well done.

Well we are home. Sad

Pizza and wine for dinner. But I did do my walk this morning. 6km before breakfast. 10k steps done before noon.

Weigh in tomorrow......... it will be bad I’m sure. I will be ecstatic with a maintain. Happy with a gain of up to 2lbs. Relieved if only a 3lb gain. And pissed of at any more!

HappyGowerGirl · 19/07/2018 07:30

60.0 this morning (9.6)!⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bringing this month’s total loss down to 4.6lb!😀⭐️

Got a bit grumpy yesterday thinking of all the things I’ve turned down this month (pastries! Booze! Pizza! Cheese! Burgers! Crisps!) and then I fit into my tightest, most favourite jeans😀

HappyGowerGirl · 19/07/2018 07:31

Cider it sounds like you managed to do quite a bit of damage control
this holiday so I’m sure your weigh in will be a pleasant surprise!

BitOutOfPractice · 19/07/2018 08:21

That's absolutely brilliant Gower StarStarStar

LoveNina · 19/07/2018 08:57

Yay well done on your losses panda and gower!

This morning I have weighed in at 8st 10.7 which is exactly 3lbs down since Sunday Shock I must have been so full and bloated from my 3 month carb fest! Feeling better, eg more energetic and sleeping more, already which is nice. I am finding it v hard to resist treats but keep drinking coffee or sparkling water instead which helps. Need to get my head to the zone where I don’t crave cakes bread pasta etc any more but I think it might take a few weeks.

QuimReaper · 19/07/2018 10:47

Cor, well done Gower and panda and Nina, amazing losses! Schorchio!

I'm 300g up on last Friday, meaning 900g up overall. I was hoping for a STS as I've been very good this week, I did eat a huge portion of dinner last night though, although it was all veg and salmon... Sigh. I'm having no luck at all this summer. Why oh why did I agree to go out tonight?!

Oh well. Two normal Golden Weeks coming up, I can focus on getting back down to goal by early August... Urrrgh.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 19/07/2018 10:54

Some excellent losses there - Go Team!

I am, sadly, not among you. 12st 7.2 this morning, still 3lb above my low from early June. Getting back to 12st 5 pre-holiday feels like it was too ambitious, and I'm kicking myself for letting it go. I should be down below 12 stone by now!

I've been decently good all week so far, not brilliant but at or around my calories. I'm only averaging about 0.75 of a pound down, which I suppose isn't awful, but it isn't great either. I was really hoping I had some more bloat to drop but apparently not.

I've got a work think tonight, which I'm seriously thinking about skipping because frankly I don't need the calories.

MissingPanda · 19/07/2018 11:59

Thanks everyone.

Gower and Nina fantastic losses StarStar🏆🏆🏅🏅

Keep going Quim and Quantum you'll get there.

Misericord · 19/07/2018 12:33

So fell off the wagon spectacularly last night - went for a ‘quick drink’ and drank a bottle of wine and had a dominos pizza :(

Ah well, onwards and upwards. Only appear to have undone my good work to the tune of a lb...

Misericord · 19/07/2018 12:34

(Feeling a fatty failure)

HappyGowerGirl · 19/07/2018 12:52

Thanks guys and well done the other losers! Keep on going everyone else, it has taken me seven months to get myself into the headspace to lose these pounds😮 Keep on going💪💪💪

HappyGowerGirl · 19/07/2018 12:56

Miseri you’re definitely not a failure. If you are then so are all of us! We all have bad days (or bad months, or years🤣 in my case, sometimes!). Be kind to yourself and start afresh x

ponygirlcurtis · 19/07/2018 13:33

Brilliant stuff Happy and Nina, and go BOOP - back in the zone by the sounds of it.

Misericord you aren't a failure at all. Nobody ever ever lost weight in a straight line of being good all the time. Blips are to be expected, just don't let them derail you. Keep going. 😊

CiderwithBuda · 19/07/2018 14:04

We all have those times Misericord. Trick is to dust yourself down, pick yourself up and start all over again!

Well done Gower! Fave jeans a great feeling I’m sure!

Did my post holiday weigh in. Gained 3.8 pounds. Not great but there were a LOT of French fries! And even more wine. So it could have been a lot worse. And would have been without my walks.

So back at it this morning. Went for a walk first thing. Had hit 10k steps by lunch time. Will go for another walk later.

Misericord · 19/07/2018 17:02

Aww this is such a supportive thread - thank you! V encouraging. Have been resisting treats all day, someone brought a lot of sweets into the office...

Cider - so impressed with 10k steps by lunchtime!

BitOutOfPractice · 19/07/2018 19:22

You're part of the Best Thread On MN ™️ now Misericord!

Hi there

Just reading the threads!! Wondering if it would be ok to join?

Have 2st to loose. "Middle of divorce loneliness" and comfort eating isn't helping!!

Started calorie counting on Monday & lost 1.5kg Smiledoing 1200 calories daily

However, it's a hard lonely road so think if it's ok I'd maybe join you guys & have a bit of moral support along the way??

BitOutOfPractice · 19/07/2018 20:44

Of course comforte you're very welcome indeed.

CiderwithBuda · 20/07/2018 07:24

It’s a fab thread Comforte. Welcome!

Busy day yesterday so got to over 18k steps in the end! But then it all went wrong. Wine. Too much wine. DS’s friend is still with us - he came on holiday with us - and we had a bbq so it all felt very holiday mode still. And then I had crisps. Other than that food was ok though. Bbq was just meat and salad.

ponygirlcurtis · 20/07/2018 08:36

How is DS's friend doing, Cider? Your 3.8lbs will disappear as quickly as it appeared, especially with all those steps.

Well done on getting started. Sounds like a rough time, you will get lots of support here. 😊

Good going Misericord, I have a staffroom stuffed with goodies, it's a hard habit to get out of - but it can be done.

I am shattered today - thanks to DS2 getting up before 6am on too many days this week - but I need to move. So will be gym then swim hopefully while he's at holiday club this afternoon. I did fancy going for an outdoor walk but unusually for this summer it's chucking it down. Had gotten so used to the perpetual sunshine!

CiderwithBuda · 20/07/2018 09:40

He is fine now ponygirl - reckons he’s had worse playing rugby! Cheek bone was sore and his leg but I think he is ok. We had two of DS’s friends with us - the injured one went home and it is the other one we still have here. Injured one desperate to see his girlfriend! They are 17 so not children but you still worry as if they are. Especially when something happens in your watch.

QuimReaper · 20/07/2018 10:00

I have an important public service announcement to make.

Half a camembert and a few scraps of bread is not dinner.

Wine + Wine + Wine + Wine + Wine + Wine + Wine + Wine

=

Envy

(^ NOT ENVY.)

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 20/07/2018 10:19

Didn't skip work event. Ate burger. 2lb up. Full of regret. FFS.
