What is the Jane Plan? I am desperate to lose weight...

cherrytrees123 · 25/06/2018 22:48

Just looked it up on the internet... is it worth the money? To be honest, I find the only way I lose weight is when I don't have to think what to cook so this would suit me really well. Are there any additives and can you avoid things ? I am allergic to yoghurt!!

Peppersandrice · 25/06/2018 23:17

cherry that’s why I am able to stick to it. Just heat up and eat. No real planning. You add in fruit and veg but I’m finding that very easy. All the meals I have tried so far I have liked.
The first 3/4 days I felt hungry but have been surprised at how quickly I have got used to smaller portions.
Are you dairy intolerant?

cherrytrees123 · 26/06/2018 07:20

No I'm not dairy intolerant, just developed all these symptoms years ago that dragged on and on. Eventually I worked out it was yoghurt. I can eat proper Greek yoghurt, but not yoghurt produced in this country. It must be some additive. I get joint pains and stomach upsets etc. How much does the plan cost? How much have you lost Pepper?

cherrytrees123 · 26/06/2018 08:02

Can anyone tell me how does this work if you don't need to refrigerate the food? I can't understand.

Peppersandrice · 26/06/2018 08:09

It is like little ready meals. They are like Ella’s kitchen meals I would say. The cooking and packaging method means it keeps out the fridge.
That’s my second weigh in today and lost 3lbs. So 8lbs altogether in two weeks.
You lose weight because it’s smaller portions than what most people are used to. I’m coming in under 1000 calories most days.

Flowerypig · 26/06/2018 08:20

hi cherry I the food actually really nice. I’ve liked everything except the soups. Think there are quite a few dairy free things as know there was a vegan dieter on here who managed to find enough Jane plan stuff for her diet....so if you are ok eating egg and meat there would be many more options for you. The customer service are very helpful and can advise on dietary requirements if you call/ email!
All the food comes in shelf stable packaging. Like those ready made packets of rice you can buy- that sort of thing!
peppers well done on 3 lbs! 8 in a fortnight is amazing!

cherrytrees123 · 26/06/2018 22:01

Well, I've signed up. Worried about it, but I need to do something and fast. I can't understand how the food keeps without refrigeration though?

Peppersandrice · 06/07/2018 18:50

How’s everyone getting on? I must say this heat is a killer! Who wants to have a lasagne or stew in this weather! I have epically failed. Ice creams, prosecco, wine, BBQ’s, and a few meals out as have been taking kids on day trips as it’s the summer hols here in Scotland. Got my second delivery box and I am back on the straight and narrow!

cherrytrees123 · 06/07/2018 20:25

I cancelled mine because to take advantage of the £100 for first month you are tied into a four month contract. I want to try it and see first. It is £199 a month normally I think on an ongoing basis? Waiting till I am in the right place mentally to start, but perhaps I'm making excuses.

Loubeetle · 19/07/2018 00:18

Hi
I started jane plan today, so far it was okay, i have struggled to get my calories to 1200 despite adding yogurt fruit and veggies, has anyone else found this? Can younadd anything else in ?
I am getting a little nervous as after signing up have read some very negative reports .
